It's money wasted. Nobody really cares much about soccer in the USA.

Do people in the US even watch soccer/football? I do, but only the football teams in Europe and Latin America. US soccer is pretty much a joke. The only team I know is the Revolution because they're from New England and play 40 minutes from my house.

Soccer in the US is not a big deal, along with hockey. US sports fans are more passionate about pigskin football, baseball, and NASCAR. It's a huge waste of money. He should spend the cash buying better outfits and hamburgers for his walking skeleton of a wife. Seriously, Victoria looks horrible now. She used to be so pretty and healthy looking while she was a Spice Girl.

He's hot enough - and this hopefully will turn some Americans on to soccer...I say waste that money that doesn't affect me on keeping his perfect body in shape!

ITA Bree as I usually do with you, Victoria used to be beautiful now she is just like the other paper thin idiots in Hollywood such as Nicole Ritchie, Kate Bosworth, Kate Moss(who I find fugly as heck anyway), and others like them.

As an avid sports fan all this money has almost ruined baseball for me and no matter how much soccer players get paid I just can't watch something that uneventful. The ONLY time I watch soccer is the World Cup to see if the Americans do well besides that I could careless. For soccer fans I hope David Beckham helps soccer, but I wouldn't count on it. Why must athletes get paid THIS much money, its getting way out of hand and it all started with A-Choke Rodriguez. Eventually I may just watch college sports and thats it because this greed in sports turns me off big time and I am one of the bigger sports fans you will ever meet.

David Beckham is so overrated esspecially as a soccer player.Pele didn't manage to make soccer more populair in the US so why should this loser be able to that if the best soccer player ever didn't manage it.Beckham had it's best years when he played for Manchester United simply because he was in a great team and let's face it soccer is a team sport.
