No.

If it were me, I'd have gone after Marlena, too. I would have taken John and Marlena to my house so they could be safe from DiMera stalkers.

Well, that's nice to know.

God, this reminds me of the time my friend was killed and stuffed into a turkey pinata. What a terrible case of art imitating life. :(

That is actually pretty funny. :o

This could've been really tragic. Just imagine if the man had a gun. One shot is all it takes. We could be reading right now, "Days of Our Lives Star MURDERED."

Kenny, that is so morbid! Honestly. I don't see why people bring up the "What If"s. I'm very superstitious and believe if you say it, it increases the chance that it will happen.

What if the sky collapses in on us tomorrow?

Sorry. Couldn't resist. :)

Ooh, have you seen the episode of The Golden Girls where they all act in a school production of "Henny Penny" (aka "the sky is falling" story). It's hysterical! Everyone should see it.

This is just insane, it truly is. It went well. Imagine how little it'd take for it to go horribly. He wasen't stopped at the gate, he actually got in. Glad he, his wife and kids are ok, but this has got to have been scary as hell.

I get why some find the humor here, so I'm not trying to put that down. But I don't find this funny. If anything, I find this crap scary as hell. Granted, soap stars are not A list actors but even so...look at Rebecca Schaeffer and countless others. Hell, Andrea Evans had to leave OLTL because of a stalker.

I'm glad that Drake got a restraining order. There are a lot of sickos out there.

I think they're more subjected to stalkers though because they're on TV sometimes every day of the week, and it's like that Renee Zellweger movie, they imagine that they're truly family.

You don't try to murder family, LoL

Well... not always.

Honestly though, what if this "crazed man" was really an assassin sent by JER to terminate John Black? JER hates Days so much that it's gotten personal...and he's actually attempting to frame Hogan Sheffer, since he's the one who's nearly killed John on Days!

omg...

I honestly never thought he'd take things this far, but what if..

...what if JER is really into black magic and he really has lured the devil into Drake?

I mean, he did it with Deidre Hall---he could do it again now!! :o

OMG; he must. Deidre's had several battles with overcrazed fans through the years, now Drake... next it'll be ED or Roark Chritchlow. *dramatic eyebrow*

I know it's silly to say, and okay, cliche, but after hearing some of the things about JER and the suggestion that he's deliberately trying to sabotage "Passions" and by extension, "Days," I'm starting to seriously question the man's sanity. Who's to say -- and again, cliche -- that this writer who can dream up these demented plots isn't living, in some way, his own "story" that he's penned for himself? Drake is John, for example. John is a character on "Days." I don't know...when someone eats, sleeps and dreams story, as Reilly basically has said he does, you really have to wonder.

OMG, he sort of scares me now.

I never thought that would happen. :(

I remember an interview he gave that was posted on NBC.com (I believe) and he told the interviewer that he gets his story ideas from crazy dreams. He'll wake up in the middle of the night and have to jot what he just dreamt down so that he can make a story out of it.

Leave it up to JER to turn one of his shows into a literal NIGHTMARE.
