Soaps stars are not allowed to show their parts in Playboy. It is a contract violation.

I believe James Hyde mentioned why he couldn't go any further in his spread in greater detail, something about NBC wouldn't let him and they control, as other networks do, their stars promotion.

Well, that is an outrage.

That is just shocking and frankly, quite saddening.

It could only help the soaps -- not to mention their loyal fans who want nothing more than to see them in ALL their glory.

Robert Kelker Kelly also posed when he was Bo on Days. I still remember the magazine because Keith Richards from the Stones was in it. I have never looked at another Playgirl again

JSF - I gotta call you out on how you think it's so degrading and disgusting for WOMEN to go nude in Playboy...but you're all rooting for the MEN to take it all off in Playgirl

With that being said, yeah I was so sad and disappointed when I got the Cameron Mathison Playgirl edition and saw nothing but chest lol

yeah its pretty common knowledge. I thought most fans that watch ABCD or GH knew this. I was shocked when I first saw her bc the casting news for Livvie on PC said that she had done playboy and she looked so young at the time

I've seen the pics.

I was watching an old episode of The Girls Next Door yesterday and they beat out Kelly for the Nov. 2005 cover.

I WAS shocked when I ran into Kelly McCarty (Beth, PSNS) porn one random night.

I personally don't see a problem with a woman posing for Playboy...first off Hugh Hefner says that his magazine is done in good taste, (unlike other men entertainment magazines, who may like to have who is posing pose in a vulgar manner).

If they don't have a problem with shedding their clothes and posing, then I don't see why it's such a big deal in saying that they are degrading themselves; I don't find it degrading...Child nudity, taking pictures of folks posing vulgarly with animals, now that's degrading; however, I don't find posing for Playboy that at way at all.

There have been a lot more actresses that have posed for Playboy, and actors who have posed for Playgirl...but I don't look down on them or make judgements about them...If I had the opportunity (and the figure), I'd pose....but that's just me

I had a subscription to Playboy for many years and the magazine is really not porn. They show some boobs, but you get that in movies. The majority of it is articles just like any other magazine and very good articles I might add. Penthouse? Thats another story!

yep, heard about this awhile ago, in fact, i thought it was pretty common knowledge. As some of you mentioned, Kelly has been pretty open about it and isn't ashamed at all. Playboy is really nothing at all, compared to all the others out there, and I don't see anything wrong with it, but then again, that's just my opinion.

Unfortunately, there is a double standard when it comes to these things.

Besides, I saw the Kelly and Daphne spreads and really, who in their right mind wants to see THAT?!!!

Frankly, I was offended.

The Windsor Harmon spreads and Vic Webster spreads were well done.

I didn't understand what you meant, bellcurve, so I decided to do a little research.

The magazines don't seem all that different to me.

Also, the only reason that Monaco's spread didn't show "the pink" is because, well, hmm...how do I say this...Monaco's pictures feature a raging forest, and, of the Penthouse pictures I researched, those women's land had been cleared as far as the eye could see.

The bottom line is that both magazines exist for ONE purpose. In other words, these women know what they're getting into. Why millions of men will see their picture and why their image in a magazine won't be pristine, shall we say, after a few minutes from that magazine's delivery.

I guess I don't like the punchline or the end product.

That, in the end, these women are 'taking a bath,' so to speak, for MILLIONS of men.
