I'm not sure where to start.

Stunned, amazed, blown away.

I'll be back with more coherent stuff later :)

I hope it's ok just to post what I have said elsewhere. I had to get it all out before, so, LOL,

there's nothing much more I could add now. And...do excuse me, I am all about S&K ;)

Stephen Nichols and Mary Beth Evans (S&K) are just the most special actors I have seen...anywhere. They had me entranced/lost in the scenes as if it was all real...

My reaction to Monday's show...

1. My *glee* begins with Steve's flashbacks in the bathroom. They slowed down, and the smile! The beaming face! Steven Earl Johnson was back. His utter joy at remembering...it was like a caged bird had been freed, the tv set was finally in color again, the twinkle was back in his eye...the love was all over his face. YUM.

2. My heart broke for Kayla as she sobbed, so utterly scared.... I was in a million crumbly pieces...crying with her. All that she has been through, losing Steve not once but twice...and being too afraid to believe she was finally going to have him back. AH!

3. Kayla said she wasn't strong enough to handle this. But Steve knew better. He said she was the strongest woman he's ever met...he acknowledged all she has been through. HEEEEEE!!

4. Hayride on New Years and Lavender soap. The writers are doing their homework:: MWCHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!! (kisses) from me!

(I don't remember the lavender soap being in the episode, but it sounded familiar, so I went with it, LOL)

5. Steve gives the courage sign...and Kayla melts before our eyes. There's an audible sawoon-like sound that says she's a goner.

6. The first kiss: Steve lays it on, so tenderly. Kayla actually licks her lips!

7. Kayla laughs. Steve laughs.... A real Kayla laugh. A real Steve laugh. GAHHH! My toes curl with glee.

8. And then. A romantic, heart stopping, HOT, tender, intimate love scene. Steve's shirt is off. Is Kayla wearing a wedding ring on a chain around her neck? EEEEEE!!!!

9. The bathtub previews. OMG. ::::THUD::::

I won't say how many times I have watched Monday's show...but every single time I am blown away by the contrasts. The contrast of Nick versus Steve.

The contrast of Steve's utter joy and Kayla's total breakdown in fear...Steve and Kayla switched places. This time, he was the one who had to make her believe in herself, he was the one who had to urge her not to give up. Of course I knew she couldn't resist him too long (I mean really, she's human after all)

Gorgeous, gorgeous episode. Everything I could have hoped for, and then some.

If someone would have told me a year ago, three years ago, that this kind of episode was still possible--and on Days!---

I would have laughed in their faces. This was just....perfect.

Due to Dish Network cancelling our distant locals and our local affliliates not giving Dish access to broadcast them, I'm only able to watch DOOL through the clips over at The Blue Note. Thank God for those clips because I'd hate to know I was missing out on this incredible show.

Patch and Kayla..... swooooooooooooooooooooooooon!

Shawn and Belle....... WOW!

Bo Brady...... Thank God he's been found! :P

John and Marlena........ LOVE IT!

The entire show was amazing! I do think Hogan has hit his stride.

Great episode.

I don't get what Mr. DiMera lackey was on about - if there was some plan to accord to, I would have loved to have seen a hint of it. :P

Some of the dialogue didn't make sense. Hope calling Patrick 'Lockhart' jus tlike Bo would be a nice touch, but it's such a flip. Sort of out of character - though more in character than she's been in a weeks, arguably.

I didn't get the Belle getting upset thing. Hope and Belle were over the Willow thing BEFORE she went to Shawn's. Why did it sink in the second time? That all seemed filler- great filler, but filler nonetheless. Also: Willow felt human today. First time ever.

As much as I loved Steve's scenes today, when Kayla said she doens't believe it, I couldn't either. It would have been smarter to have her start with the not wanting to be disappointed bit - how could she not believe him? I don't care that he lied before - if she couldn't see and hear the drastic difference between Nick pretending to be Steve and Steve FINALLY remembering, then she needs her eyes and ears checked. Thsi was a weakness, IMO, on both script writers and Mary Beth, who has yet to impress me with a thing.

That said, Nichols had me swooning to the high heavens from beginning to end. His glee as Steve remembering was spot on.

John & Marlena --- EEEEEK! First they go spying, they figure out Stefano's not dead, they hide from goons and leave a message. Then, back to their hotel room, and their red silk sheets (New Orleans!EEEK). Toasting in champagne to his sexy as hell wife, kissing and falling to the couch before EEEK!SEX!!!! No sounds, no distractions, just them... They can do in ten seconds what no one else can do with the entire frickin' hour. It's amazing... There's just a magical connection there...

And Shawn/Belle were fantastic too :) YAY, he told her! Here come the Chelle fam!

I even liked Bo and Hope today :) Glad she let him know that she belives him. And him saying that he's going to love her child! Happy for their fans :)

There were special moments for all couples today. John & Marlena had their wedding night, Shawn and Belle had the 'I love you', Steve and Kayla had sex, Hope wants Bo to stay and be in her life...

Keith, Rico (the DiMera lackey) saw J&M breaking into the gravechamber and finding out that Stefano is still alive.

This was amazing. First of all, when is the last time we saw so much love and romance in an episode of DAYS? I cant even recall. I LOVED S&K, clearly the highlight of today's show. As a fan who started watching in the mid-90s, I had never watched them together before....they are astounding. I really liked John and Marlena's snooping today also. Can't wait to see what happens there. And BO AND HOPE?!?! That was them!! I loved it. After Steve and kayla, though, I have to say that my second favorite scenes today were Belle and Shawn. It was so real. And I know some ppl will probably think they're rushing this, but i dont think so at all. I think it's been clear all these years where their hearts belong, and finally they're coming to see it also. I do hope they dont get right back together (even though I cant wait to see them make love, haha). But i'm glad they're moving in that direction. It only seems right to me.

I gathered that, Linn, but he seemed to be indicating something more in talking to EJ - like they lured them in for a trap that didn't happen.

I don't think it's that she didn't believe him...deep down I think she did know it was him. My interpretation is that she was having a breakdown. Kayla

does not *do that* sort of crying out regularly. Did you not see the difference between her response to "Nick" breaking up with her

(strong, maintaining composure in front of him) on Friday and then her meltdown on Monday? Kayla would not have broken down like that in

front of Nick.

I think she was just really scared that she was so vulnerable all of a sudden. One minute she had to accept--yet again-- that Steve--the love

of her life--was gone forever....and 5 minutes later he was back in her life. How was Kayla going to just switch gears so suddenly? I know I

couldn't. She's been through that agony, twice in her life now, and I think she kept it all inside. At that moment, Steve was back and she was deathly afraid

that she would give in to that joy, only to lose him all over again. All the pain poured out of her, because she was with Steve.

She was overwhelmed, with good reason.

Did anyone think little Claire was going to choke on Bo's charm necklace? She put the whole charm in her mouth!!!! (You can tell Peter doesn't have kids...)

Why did off-camera crypt guard speak English? (Cause I've been to a crypt in Italy [no joke, I'm weird like that] -- and those guys DEFINTELY did not speak a word of English...)

John's graffiti on the DiMera mausoleum was so neat and proper... he should tagged it a bit more (like "John Black wuz here") to give him some street cred...

But seriously, who gives a flying fluck about any of that silly stuff because the day I've waited 16 years for has ARRIVED!!!! Steve and Kayla are back. And how amazing is SN -- as soon as he started laughing, it was Patch's laugh and you knew he was back.

Of course, the hypercritical, Randy Jackson part of me thinks the scenes would've been all the more better had the past, oh, 6 months of story had been as good as it could've been. But, alas, you can't have everything.

I'm glad they kept the scenes short. But I still wanted more -- more memories, more convincing of Steve's part (I wanted more than the courage sign to make Kayla go into his arms). But the love scene -- damn, I've said it before, those two make it look real. I feel like a voyeur!

I agree she was overwhelmed and that came through, but the dialogue also got repetitve very quickly. I think the writers could have approached it better than they did. I certainly didn't want Kayla just go 'oh, ok, let's celebrate'. I love that she ran. I would preferred her bull a strong front and run, then breakdown. Let me examplify.

Kayla has her line after Steve's happy happiness: No.

Steve: No? Sweetness?

Kayla: I'm sorry, Steve.

*she runs*

Sometimes less is more, I guess. *shrugs*

I've only watched the Steve/Kayla clips, but WOW! They were raw, emotional, so human and realistic... and they blew me away. Absolutely gorgeous scenes! The chemistry was so thick and so real that it could've been but with a knife. I hadn't seen what the big deal was about S/K... until this episode. They've got "it" erupting like a volcano! I also liked how their love scene was more about the emotional reconnection than trying to make it sexy and pornographic.

SO good. So, so, so good. Classic soap opera, and so unlike anything I've seen from this show in the past five years.

And judging by what's happening in the other stories, it sounds like everything else deserves a big thumbs up, too.

Watch Tuesday's show :) He tried to get them to stay away I guess :) He's not the brightest DiMera lackey

Well, that was a stupid subplot. I thought DiMeras were supposed to be intelligent? ;)

I think S&K have had a little *too much* of the less is more approach since they returned. I think

the "less is more" approach hurt their return story...where neither of them were allowed to express

anger or agony for what happened to them. They both seemed somewhat passive about what they lost, and it was so frustrating

to see that. It is not called for here. S&K are intense, passionate people. They have had

16 years apart...it's a huge deal, the reunion. Huge. For both of these characters, it has

had tremendous emotional aftereffects. That needs to be played. IMO the writing has been bad

because S&K weren't allowed to have dramatic reactions to the fact that they have lost *so*

much.

I am tired of blase' reactions......and I am ready for a lot more emotional impact within storylines. I

am tired of this show (in general) being all about action and plot: I want the real, and intense human drama.

I thought today's show for S&K was soap opera at its finest :)

Yeah... but that was Stefano and Stefano's ... unable to tend to business I guess. He's like Bart :) Bart wasen't the smartest guy, but he was loyal :)
