It's show wide, not just a fanbase for a couple, JP has totally ruined the show, All we see on screen any day of the week is about 8 characters, with the same storys being played out over and over again. Some of it could be fanbase in a way, but it is every fanbase out there because there really is no show left or any couples left, It's just a bunch of crap.

Trust me, you me or anyone else on this board could write better stuff then she does, all she does is recycle storylines over and over again, and has no idea of the history of the show, Today for example she messed up history a couple times, she said certain characters did certain things years back, when they never did those things.

Initially, JP was great, but after her first year or so on the show, the quality started to go down, and it's still dropping. What we have left are boring storylines centered on a select group of six of the same characters that many fans don't even like, with no change in sight.

We really shared the brain on that one because I was going to come in here and post the same EXACT thing you did. I think it has everything to do with Hogan leaving the show and going to DAYS. I noticed that the show has gone completely down hill since he left.

What I am pissed off about the most is the Will and Gwen storyline. We just sat through last summer with the whole Will cheating on Gwen thing. I don't know why she feels the need to go there with Gwen. I read a spoiler earlier that I am pretty ticked about but its not that Gwen cheats on Will at all. Its not really Gwens fault that it happens(and no she doesnt sleep with anyone) but it still infuriates me.

I dont get why they cannot put JADE with ADAM and let Willen be happy.

I don't want Jade with Adam. I love the character of Adam but he was miscasted with this actor. They need to recast the role again. And move him far away from Gwen. He should be in stories with Margo and Tom. Not storylines with Jade and Casey's stupid gambling storyline!

She does have co-heads, but her co-head writers are Leah Laiman and Chris Whitesell, who have never distinguished themselves anywhere. Laiman put the nail in the coffin of "Another World" as AW's last headwriter, with stories like the Lumina secret-garden time-travel story; is sometimes called "Lethal Leah"; and is a very superficial writer. Passanante is much better than Laiman, which isn't saying much.

I think the first year during her "reign" was "great" because most likely they were leftover story boards or scripts Hogan had before he left as HW. Also, I've noticed Simon's dialogue when he returned felt like back when Hogan wrote for Simon. After Hogan left, so did that spark and old Simon feeling. Anyway, IA that the show really went downhill once Hogan left as HW.

this was my assumtion too and the ratings arent all that bad. hitting no 3 once in a while.

I remeber christopher whitsell at Sunset Beach. i didnt like his writing. He was sharing co head writing duties with Meg Bennet whom I think is good . And the weeks Chris wrote, they were just awful. The weeks Meg wrote it was sparks non stop. They should have let Meg write by herself

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
    • Maybe I'm still in denial, but nothing about Neighbours' ongoing social media output gives the vibe of a show that's ending. In today's 'Roundup' video, Alan Fletcher referenced that production finishes in five weeks, but in all the show's posts the cast are as jovial and lighthearted as ever. Remarkably so for people who are about to lose their jobs.    Perhaps they're just putting a brave face on things, and I know they approached the previous axing with a positive attitude. Maybe putting an upbeat face on things is a collective way of showing potential backers that there's still life in the show? Or is it possible that they already know the show has been saved, and we'll get an announcement next month when filming wraps and the show 'rests'?   Does any of that make sense?!
    • A very good week for male eye candy on GH. New Michael is beautiful, Curtis's arms looked great in that polo shirt, Cody looks even more handsome with his new haircut AND we got Marco in swim shorts rocking his lovely bod and chest fur.

    • Yeah when Jamey Giddens did breakdowns for DAYS, he would sometimes state in tweets that specific things were his idea that he had pitched to Ron.
    • I don't, since they've clearly incorporated them into Tomas' storyline, and I happen to like his tattoos, but his jackets not fitting doesn't mean they're trying to cover his tattoos. The clothing overall isn't the issue; it's the fit. And I expect(ed) more from Jeresa Featherstone and her team. Very disappointed. He's the only male, overall, whose costume irritates me.
    • "And OMG, watching the scenes of Roger's return in comparison...the quality in the writing really nosedived. The stupid mask." Very much agreed.  Having Roger hide behind a mask for weeks/months, with it culminating with him swinging in on a vine at Blake/Phillip's wedding....geez.  So juvenile. IMO, Guiding Light never did a good job reintroducing major characters, either from the dead or elsewhere.  Masked balls = awful.  Amish = awful. When Reva was brought back from the dead, she should've just showed up in Springfield as Reva, and informed everyone that she had been gone for years because she felt like it.  She had a four-year fling with some dude who ended up dumping her due to disloyalty. Josh would be pissed and declare that their love is not *always* but *sometimes* and he'd act accordingly.  Her kids would hate her.
    • Agreed. The Emmys next year are gonna be a pretty tough competition and I hope we get a Days sweep lol  Not only does Deidre deserve a nomination for these last few weeks, but I also think Paul Telfer, Raven Bowens, Carson Boatman, Dan Feuerriegel and Alison Sweeney have good chances as well.
    • It’s not about a lack of faith and trust in MVJ, it’s about a a lack of faith and trust in Ron Carlivati, who I think can be very sneaky and manipulative when he wants to be.  And, all that “He’s just a breakdown writer” talk never changed my mind about anything, because at Days, it was “just a breakdown writer” that gave us some of the worst episodes I’ve ever seen.
