How did this whole Rowell not liking Khalil come about?

There has never been any confirmation about it, just speculation based on how icy cold their scenes are. The writers tend to do the lovey dovey scenes with Khalil/St. John and Sherwood/Rowell. When it was announced that Khalil was coming back Rowell first said "no comment" then said she thought Khalil did the part justice. But about Davetta she gave a much more person and heartfelt message.

And Khalil generally mentions everyone BUT Rowell in interviews.

Okay, so it's just fan speculation. And the whole Khalil thing about not mentioning Rowell, you can't really go by that. She could mention her and it's just not posted in the magazines. We really don't know.

In regards to CK's Lily, I've always said that I don't think LML would want to fire Davetta who she hired and retooled the role of Lily for. What we see on screen is basically proof of that. They completely wrote her out of the story for heavens sake. When Latham likes a character she's shown that she will regularly write for them for a certain period of time. Lily has been completely replaced with Devon.

I bet one of the higher ups suggested Khalil's return and when Latham saw what she had to work with she adjusted her plans.

Was it LML or JackASmith who brought on DS as Lilly. I for one am glad they haven't had CK on lately as I just can't stand her. The mother daughter relationship between Dru and Lilly is gone and quickly FF by me in the future. The combinaton of AF and CK should make Y&R drop in the ratings, it sucks. I am really hard pressed to remember why I watch.

It just might have been LML. I'm starting to realize that LML has been working behind the scenes even longer than we've realized. Adrienne Frantz told SOW in an article that LML contacted her to come on Y&R last November! I'm talking November 2005. Even Jack Smith alluded to LML starting to take the reins as early as January (around the time his son got sick) in his interview with SOD after he was fired, even thought titles had yet to be exchanged officially.

Some well-observed comment about FauxLily have been made. I noticed the same things.

And Khalil is really annyoing me, even in thoe little scenes she gets - Admittedly, the writing is not at all kind to Lily these days.

Wanted to comment on last week in general: The best we had in ages - whereas it was not perfect, all episodes had been enjoyable and were worth watching.

Really buying the Kay&Jill scenes and many others things were good or great: The Winters making Michael cry (LOL), the babynapkin scene in the judge's chamber (dubble-LOL), Esther & the psychic...

Major camptacular event: Victor & Jack doing Japanese flower art (don't how is called right now). :lol: :lol:

The little snippets of Nick and or Phyllis on the other hand were Reliqzzzzzz-snoozeworthy.
