Yay. Thanks Danny :D

The shallow side of me is loving this cast ... hot :P

Any one wanna try to compile a tentative All-Star cast list?

Off the top of my head, who I personally would want back:

TA1 - Kwame, Amy, Troy, Katrina

TA2 - John, Jennifer, Ivana, Sandy

TA3 - Alex, Bren, Chris

TA4 - Rebecca, Alla, Clay

TA5 - Tammy, Roxanne, Dan, Tarek

I kinda limited myself in TA3, but most of them were train-wrecks. Bren and Chris were entertainment. Angie deserves another chance but if I had to pick just 18 candidates ... and as for Clay. Again, entertainment, although I'd like to see Josh, John and Brian from TA4 get another shot ...

Honestly I do not see how Frank stayed. Not that the other guy was better. but with a temper like Franks and how he always interupts, I can not see how he would be an asset when alls he does is get loud and [!@#$%^&*] and moan and interupt. Bad first eppy...including the nasty ass opening with the fake baby sounds....good lord. How can Burnett produce a wonderful Survivor and a crappy Apprentice?

Frank's awesome.

I loved Michelle walking out and her whole attitude about it. GO MICHELLE!

Stefani and Aaron impressed me.

I can't believe we know NOTHING about the other team except for the brief feud between Heidi and Marisa. Zzzzz.

I watched the Yahoo clip of the woman resiging. Donald Trump is *SO* mean. Seriously, she said, "This isn't what I signed up for." Exactly...TA has become so gimicky as of this season with the whole living in tents, blah! And no George :( no Carolyn :( the show sort of loses some creditability I think, you have Donald's off spring...how are they qualified to pick the best applicant, they were born into the empire! Blah!

NBC killed this show by putting it on Sunday and up against Desperate Housewives. I tried to watch the first episode at NBC.com and couldnt sit through it. I wonder what the ratings are like now

Ratings are horrible!!! I think they were like 6.3 one night and somewhere in that are. They have taken the "job interview" out of it and made it like Los Angeles Survivor!

I'm actually liking this season. I love how Michelle quit and refused to let Donald make a fool out of her. And Ivanka & his son need to STFU. They have no right bashing someone for quitting. It's easy when you grow up in a family company. My main problem this season is half the cast hasn't even been shown yet. It leaves alot of bland characters left.

    • So I couldn’t resist and skipped ahead to Monday of this week. Just wow. One of the best most emotional episodes I’ve ever seen of Days. All of the actors truly brought it.    Marlena in the chapel is what almost broke me. Also loved the slow cinematography going around the candles. When the show tries, even with budget constraints it can still look interesting. I wish the show did have some sort of filter though to counterbalance the HD cameras used now. Xander being a villain again works perfectly for me. Loved those scenes with him vs Maggie who has always given Xander a million passes. Paul talking about the other kids and then the flashback to pride

.    Honestly I loved allll of the flashbacks used for Monday. Even the Devil storyline was referenced but actually seriously. Days proved on Monday what an absolutely underrated cast they have. John’s wishes were to fight
    • Frances Fisher said on The Locher Room interview that she really did not remember her time on GL since it was so short (she was talking more about Edge of Night)-but she did mention that she went out with Vincent (Lujack!).  I think he also dated Kristi Ferrell (Roxie) around this time as well
    • @chrisml Thanks for all these articles you share.Always pick up some interesting tidbits.
    • I’d watch the episode where Xander beats ups Philip and go from there. There’s probably been one or two dull episodes but the rest have been well written and put together, especially the Xander and Sarah showdown.
    • The good thing about those ATWT openings is that they rotated the characters. The flaw in the Hold on to Love opening is that it was so stagnant, and rarely if ever changed. That ATWT version had at least three different versions, and sometimes you got the opening, sometimes you got the clean up spot, and sometimes you got the short dot-dot-dot spots.  Ugh..the hands opening was about 2007 and was the actors putting their hands in a circle (I was waiting for them to yell "go team!") as a poem was recited. It looks like fifth grade media students came up with it. See---no one wants you to forget Vanessa's a Chamberlain. It was so embedded in the character, it never quite sounded right to leave out her maiden name. And if she wasn't reminding people she was a Chamberlain and not to be trifled with, other characters would throw it out there. Once (and I think it's during the Slut of Springfield debacle) Alex says something like "poor Vanessa--she's still a Chamberlain at heart after all".  Although I can't recall her ever being credited as Vanessa Chamberlain Lewis. And thank God we never had to contemplate "Vanessa Reade". I swear half the time that marriage fell through was that someone shivered at the thought at having ten characters a day say "Vanessa Reade". I'd have to check on if they used C. Blake Thorpe a lot.  I  Anyone would've been better than Calla.
    • They should have paired him with Suzette, or Suzanne, whatever. Jerry and Frances Fisher feel like a natural duo.
    • This was one of my favorite soap friendships of all time. Mishael and Gina had AMAZING friendship chemistry. And Phyllis at that time was exactly the friend Hilary needed. God why did you have to remind me what we lost
    • Tracy was handing Anita the business today and I was here for it! Martin and Smitty’s daughter looks like she’s related to the son’s love interest I really enjoy Martin and Smitty together now that the two actors are much more comfortable in their roles. Just wanted to add I love how Vernon is written and portrayed as opposed to the Victor Newmans, Kiriakis, and Stefano’s were written. It’s nice to see a patriarch that actually loves their family.
    • I said it before---Guiding Light is probably the soap that most clung to family names. I mean, the only reason to even think about naming that child Bert B(whatever) is that you've been writing all night, you start shooting in two minutes, and someone inserted it as a joke and the wrong rewrite got sent out to the actors.  As much as I criticize Infinity, the fallout from the shooting is what sweeps is all about. The moment when Rick and Phillip know Mindy could spend that money--OMG. Billy's ready to lock himself away, Sally tears Reva a new piehole, Ed's performing life-saving surgery and Lujack bein' all Lujack. I actually like that cop--I think his name is Saunders? He was a rarity, a cop who wasn't dumb. Listening to that Locher room with Krista and Mark Lewis, I think Kurt would've lasted longer, had Mark not had an out in his contract to do a play. As Mark explained, a new EP came on, didn't want him to do the play and kinda warned him that he might not have a job to come back to. Mark did it anyway (he had friends backing the play) and sure enough, they killed Kurt off. In the long run, I don't think they had a lot of story to do with Kurt and Mindy, who hadn't gone through much before getting that extravaganza. But it did seem to be short sighted to kill him off that soon. Ross wasn't driving story in '85, that's for sure. He had defended Lujack in the Andy Ferris murder, and he rides herd on Phillip as India tries sinking her claws into him. He did send Trish off to Europe, and he defends Billy and Mindy. But yeah--sometimes they just "forgot" about Ross until someone needed a lawyer. While there was always a fight around Spaulding, it was hitting a dry spell in terms of people connected to it to interact with.
