I will try to post more in this thread, I promise, I think today was a good start at the show gaining back my love for it, not totally but a start, I just assume last week never took place, because that was the worse week in months on the show, I can take a show or so, but a whole week of crap is to much. What I really liked about today was the balance, still a tad boring, but the balance made up for it. Nice to see the Snyder family today, it was nice and it has been a while, It was a nice break from the Katie, Simon , Mike, and Carly mess. It was great seeing Luke today, I have missed him so much. I really wish Spencer Grammer would learn how to act, because her scenes on the stand today during Craig's trail were just horrible, and made me want to throw-up. The Paul and Meg scenes were ok, though way to much talk of Craig, I feel like we are repeating history here only the last time they were always talking about Emily. And finally what really made my day was the return of Iris :) , If anyone can get this show going again it is my girl Iris. And Gwen and Will, well they were just Gwen and Will, same ol same ol, with nothing much ever changing there.

I hope Iris sticks around for a long time too...I'm just not liking Will and Gwen...I mean, I like the actors, but their storyline right now is just eh for me.....so hopefully Iris will stir things up and shake their relationship; but in many ways, we know that Gwen and Will's marriage isn't as back on track as folks may want to believe.

I can barely believe Will is Barbara's son. He actually gives whiners a bad name. His self-worth is totally dependent on Gwen, and that's never a good thing.

And Lucy (even with Dusty) isn't smart enough to try and play Craig. 'Nother case of milquetoast offspring.

Maybe he sees Gwen as the mother figure he never had.

Lucy is just pathetic. Her father played her like a violin.

I'm guessing Holden is planning some surprise party for Lily or something completely innocent that everyone will blow out of proportion.

Exactly what I was thinking. Or maybe it's someone that Holden has hired to help feel Lily confident about herself again.

I still wanna know how Holden explained the lipstick on his collar! :P

Jade explained it was her's....she grabbed a shirt thinking it was Luke's and he wouldn't mind. Somehow she spasmed and got really really messy applying her own lipstick. LOL...and it looked like Lily had one of those Tide pens to clean it up with.

 Thanks for answering my question. Too bad I missed the scene.

Tide is an actual sponsor of the show, so I wouldn't be surprised...:P

Yeah that was definitely a Tide to Go (or whatever they call it) pen. Lily made sure to tell Holden that she was just going "use the pen" on the stain lol

Carly also uses Tide. It was in her basement a few months ago when they found the skeleton in the closet. When Gwen and Will lived at Hal's, Gwen was almost always seen making a pot of Folger's coffee.

Katie is such a worthless b&tch!!! I can only hope she manages to burn her last bridge with both Mike and Simon, while managing to push Carjack back together.

Em's haircut is too severe for her face. And Babs! (gulp!) Did little Johnny take a scissors to those bangs? OMG, who lets anyone out of a salon like that? Maura used to have those horrid bangs, but at least they didn't look like they got caught in a paper shredder.

Sigh...Iris steps back in to Gwennie's life, and it's like she never left. It's practically the same dialogue as a year ago.

And I don't think Dusty's right to bear arms inherently makes him a bad father. Rather surprising coming from an ex-guerrilla fighter's daughter.

Yawn...I'll tune into ATWT when December rolls around because nothing interests me right now.

I feel the same way - I actually jumped over to OLTL this week for the first time in months. This show is really boring right now. I don't really like Dusty or Lucy at all - and barely care about Paul or Craig - and that is all we see right now.

I thought I might enjoy Iris - and she is fun - but she's only here to break up Gwen/Will, which is getting old. Can't they just be happy?

I'm ready for something new QUICK.

I'm guessing Holden is planning some surprise party for Lily or something completely innocent that everyone will blow out of proportion.

That is exactly what I've thought since day 1 of this Holden thing.

Really? I've seen OLTL on Soapnet and it is 100x worse than ATWT right now. ATWT on a bad day is still better than your average OLTL episode.

Well I thought Today's show 11-21 was somewhat better, but yet left a boring flavor in my mouth, I don't know what it is, but none of these storylines are really that interesting to me. I mean we had some great scenes between Iris and Gwen, which I totally loved(though Will is an Idiot). As for the Katie/Carly/Mike/Simon crap that stuff has gone beyond boring already, they really need to figure out what they are going to do with these people because watching the same dialogue everyday is getting rough for me. Then of course we have the never ending Craig storyline, better known as the Craig Montgomery Hour, which is driving me nuts, I would be enjoying this story so much more if we had not just seen the same things before HB left the role of Craig a year ago, I was sick of Craig then and unforantly I am starting to get sick of him again, BTW does JM ever get a day off of work, he is on screen practically every single day, I think he has now missed 3 whole days since he has been back. Where were the Snyders today, they start a nice little story for them last week Tuesday I think, and yet we have only seen there story for two days so far, while Craig takes over the show. Luke was gone for two weeks and we finally see him on Monday's show, and by today's show he is already gone again, what gives. Anyway this show just needs fresh ideas, because this stuff feels to me like Jean P. is going through her old trash cans, and re-writing a few words and giving it to us to see again.

I don't mean to he hatin so much on ATWT it's just I want something new that I have not already seen before, and I just am not seeing it.

Right now, my main problems with the show can be summed up with these characters:

1. Paul (whiny little [!@#$%^&*] who runs around tattling on everything Craig does, when he is no better)

2. Craig (annoying, selfish, lifeless)

3. Dusty (same as above; he is USING Johnny to cling to Jennifer's memory)

4. Lucy (the village idiot)

5. Meg (Paul's whore)

6. Mike (overemotional, oversensitive)

7. Katie (entitled slut)

8. Simon (and I thought his stay was just temporary...it's been damn near four months)

I swear, if these 8 characters were gone, I'd be so in love with the show. They can simply dig into ATWT history for characters in those age ranges to keep a generational balance. And not only that, but they could easily find people who have more history with the show. Annie Stewart's quads should be in their 20s now. Bring in two or three of them. Bring back Ellen and Allison so that the Stewart family can be restored. There has to be more than what we're seeing on TV now.
