They replaced them with even younger kids who had even less storyline potential. I get that the show is about the women but I saw their kids as the next generation, like 90210 and its new incarnation...except much less horrible and not as an actual spin-off if that makes sense. That was one of the major problems I had with season five. I liked that Lynette's kids got aged but again...no storylines, they're just props.
