October 11, 200619 yr Member "Friday Night Lights" in my opinion is THE best new show of the season. It will premiere on Tuesday, October 3 at 8:00PM/7:00c on NBC. But you can watch the pilot in its entirety now at NBCFirstLook.com. I loved this show. I can't believe NBC actually didn't censor this show. I heard two prayers (one tonight and one last week) to top it off the one I heard last week used "in Jesus Name." I can't believe NBC let them keep that in. Way to go NBC! Way to go!!!
October 11, 200619 yr Member I loved last night's episode. We definitely got to know the characters more. And it did something that the pilot didn't... make me tear up more than once. There are actually people criticizing the religious aspect of the show, but I'm sure in Texas, that is just a part of everyday life. And that is another reason I love the show, it is real and honest and sincere. I am praying 1 vs 100 takes off this week so that NBC can shuffle its schedule and give FNL a cushier timeslot.

Well, I'm not in Texas, but it's apart of my everyday life. It's my lifestyle. This Country is on the verge of turning into the Roman Empire. They let any and everything go but if someone wants to show some spirituality they go psycho. I simply don't get it.
October 18, 200619 yr Member FNL improved in the ratings ever so slightly last night... I'll take any good news I can get
October 25, 200619 yr Author Administrator Great show tonight. ITA that it gets better each week as we get to know the characters better.
October 25, 200619 yr Member Best new show on TV - hands down. Kyle is fantastic as Coach Taylor. And those teens are steaming up my screen
November 1, 200619 yr Member The game was amazing!! I was shocked to find myself jumping up and cheering for most of it! (I was cussing out Voodoo though and cheered at his interception) Even though the ending was very cliche, it worked. It was effective, and that is a quality that FNL has. They can take tired old cliches from every sports movie or show ever produced, yet make it relevant and effective. Its overall positive news for FNL. We'll have to wait and see if it does any better in its regular home next week. I think the main point is the show got extra exposure after Heroes, and hopefully those new viewers will follow it to Tuesday
November 8, 200619 yr Member I caught this show last week after Heroes. I liked it so I watched tonight's episode as well. I love this show. Fave characters are Matt (the shy guy) and the daugter of the coach...not sure of her name. I definitely think this year has had the best crop of shows.
November 8, 200619 yr Member I'v watched all the episodes so far because I wantced to give ita a chance. But I find myself longing for each episode to end. I have to say I don't think I'm gonna watch anymore. I know the "shaking camera thing" is how it's supposed to be. It was like that in the movie as well. But I hate it. I can't get into the characters either. I watch so many shows already so I'm afraid this one is cancelled on my list in the future.
November 9, 200619 yr Member I thought it was another great episode this week. Kyle Chandler, Connie Britton, Zach Gilford, and Scott Porter are deserving of Emmy nods.
November 14, 200619 yr Author Administrator Despite low ratings, NBC rewards another QUALITY show with a full season order!! http://www.thefutoncritic.com/news.aspx?id=20061113nbc02 Kevin Reilly is awesome!!! One great decision after the other. "Clear eyes, full hearts - CAN"T LOSE!"
