  1. I have this nagging feeling we think of different ones as the best! Care to fulfill my curiosity? Which are you thinking of?
  2. https://www.instagram.com/p/DJgLSQsJf8s/ 1995 Daytime Emmys, Oprah Winfrey presenting Best Show which goes to GH, their 3rd win, Wendy Riche, EP, accepting: Thank you, members of the academy, for recognizing our hard work. I feel very privileged to accept this very prestigious award on behalf of the cast, crew & staff of General Hospital. It's been a long time coming & everyone here & in Los Angeles is very proud to be honored by you. When so many people come together without ego in collaboration while maintaining their own personal integrity ... Teamwork is not just a word at General Hospital, it's a way of life & I'm very grateful to be working with all these people. This year was "BJ's Heart" & other winners included Rena Sofer for Best Supporting Actress & the Writing Team with Claire Labine accepting & JJ won for Younger Actor & it just so happened that it was Tony & Genie who were presenting.

  4. Of course I join in on wishing that Peacock & Corday & Sony would all together come to the conclusion that NOW would be a fine time to put some of these gems in the archive on full display!!! But, at the same time I'd like to give kudos to the fact that behind the scenes they've been doing the great work of preservation by taking tapes, etc. & converting them to modern digital formats. Besides the important fact of preserving them it means they are ready to go!
  5. Carly, considering Robin's daughter as a possible daughter-in-law .... I think the technical term for it would be "plotz"! Or to put it another way, the top of her head would explode! 🤯
  6. What AW stories do you think of as DOOLish? I mean AW, in a very positive way was KNOWN for its comedic elements. From Iris's maid, Vivian, to the naming of plants, to highjinks with Cass, Felicia, Wally & even Lily, plus remember Dee Evans & Tony the Tuna? In a way at one time DAYS had similar with Caliope & Eugene.
  7. Is this someone you should be dealing with? I got the drama on lock. Leave it to me. You are my sister. You have loved & protected me every moment I've been in this world. It's my turn to stand up for you.

  9. This is as good a time as any to point out that the 90 minute show was, what I like to call "cockamamie idea" of Fred Silverman, head of NBC Daytime Programming. He did so well at ABC & CBS but not so NBC. We learned this from a WOST interview with Pete Lemay, 2006, can be found on YouTube, audio only. Now, to be clear, Rauch was completely behind it. Only Lemay fought against it & eventually quit over it.
  10. BITD I was posting about how interesting it was that Denise had been with this same guy for simply years but they just did not marry - then that year they married!
  11. GH 2-17-21 Denise Alexander's last appearance https://www.instagram.com/p/DJdjXgwJ1Ez/ Edit to add: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DJecikwx34x/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link This is from Michael Fairman & Hayes & Hayes, good stuff, although short.
  12. No, we would really do it. Those pix were so famous! In early May 1970 Susan introduced Doug Williams to Julie. Her intent was evil. But, it backfired on her. Doug & Julie fell in love. Everyone knows the rest of this story.
  13. Errol, you have a typo in the photo caption. Genia instead of Genie. Easy to fix. Typos happen to everyone.
  14. Thank you. I didn't realize there was confusion. You cleared it up. It is more than crazy that this whole conversation is off-topic.
  15. We could take an OATH: We swear we will hate these episodes!
  16. Mickey Horton got her off, temporary insanity. Edit to add: If only Peacock would air this storyline. Edit to add: David was supposed to be watching the child. Wasn't. Child fell out of swing, broke his neck. The show had the camera focus on that empty swing, just barely moving ...
  17. Back up a bit. Susan & Julie were best friends. Tom thought David too old for Julie & forbade her to see him. They continued but they had to sneak around. So they couldn't always get together when they wanted to. One of THOSE nights David got drunk. At the same time for different reasons Susan had a huge fight with her parents, slammed out the door & went & also got drunk. David & Susan comforted each other & things took their usual course From that one drunken night, Susan got pregnant. The 3 made a joint decision. He would marry her to give the child his name & then they would divorce. Is it any wonder this did not go according to plan. Bill Bell wrote this. So best friends became bitter enemies. I am the exception because I had no problem suspending my disbelief to go along with the LaSalles. I love Marisa as much as I loved Mary. Reginald, always a problem to me, And, Robert Hogan had to be Vince. WhIle I'm at it I am glad that didn't do anything with making Scott a triplet.
  18. And, the first storyline I remember was DAYS Susan & David & Julie & poor baby Dickie. Denise as Susan was the STAR of that story.
  19. https://www.tvinsider.com/1180503/denise-alexander-dead-general-hospital-lesley-webber Denise Alexander died March 5th & I'm so sad. The first soap storyline I remember was Susan Hunter Martin (Denise Alexander) & David Martin & Julie Olson & poor little baby Dickie on DAYS. I followed her to GH, Lesley. I followed her to AW, Mary/Marisa. I followed her back to GH. About her, Christopher Schemering said In soap magazine polls she was voted Best Actress over & over. Schemering, C. (1987). The Soap Opera Encyclopedia. Ballantine Books. Edit to Add: Photos from DAYS https://parade.com/news/beloved-general-hospital-matriach-denise-alexander-dies-at-85
  20. Just this fan's opinion but I have said these writers are the most plot opportunistic maybe ever! They will have any character say just about anything if it advances whatever plot point they have in their minds atm. I think if Dante's POV right now was defensible people would be running it up the flag pole. The fanbase thing you're describing to me it just means they're going to continue to like their fave no matter what.
  21. I believe in the separation of church and soap. 👀
  22. I believe they rotate who is first.
  23. https://www.instagram.com/p/DJcmx63J8yB/ 1995 Daytime Emmys Rena Sofer Edit Best Supporting Actress GH Lois
  24. Aww. Don't worry. You is cool.
  25. I thought that little scene was sweet & special.
