Fascinating! I totally love HACKS. Dee's part was insignificant. She looked great & was obviously well-lit & she hit all her marks & emoted appropriately. Her line readings were fine. But, HACKS is this amazing, hilarious show & I love Jean Smart's character & also her writer, Ava, and Dee was part of the B storyline about her being the mother of another member of Debra's staff. Except for confirming for me that the lighting at DAYS is awful, she might as well have not been there.

I can tell upfront that I'm gonna have a bad attitude about this recast. Camila to me WAS Gabi.

I also do not have your problem with MM. Someone said that GT is happy on the East coast, so that may be a problem for all of us GT fans.

I just do not see the appeal of BB. I cannot stand Stefan & his little porn stache. Now, DanF is a good actor & very appealing, if you ask me. Of course, and I cannot explain this, but I actually liked Jake. So, of course, they killed him, quick as could be. I do not put Stefan & EJ in the same category, ever.

Shame on you!! LOL Seriously, it was a good show. Possibly a little too *wholesome*. On WISEGUY wholesomeness was NOT a problem. On it she had that whole big blonde hair thing going on. Sexy.

But, seriously, it is ridiculous that there is no room at the inn for either Shawn or for Belle. And, on top of them, we do not have Sami. This show is forever & a day bringing on new characters. When they need to repopulate the show with HORTONS!!! And, also with Brady/Blacks although we do at least now have Brady & Eric. I would also say that under anything like usual circumstances this show would have a Sydney. OUR HOUSE was an excellent show. Also she was quite good on .... crap ... OH, WISEGUY!

Maybe they will tell their story now or come back. You know my disdain for MM's Belle, but Marlena is really going to need one child on the canvas. I hope they can work something out with her. I have personally wondered about Lindsay's leaving. She seemed to fit in the Blind Item, as a young actress who maybe was harassed & she got a boyfriend & things got worse. And, then her contract came out & she quit. But, that has nothing to do with the show right now. What did y'all think about the re-introduction of Jack? I somehow thought it was clumsy. They didn't really have much to say to each other. He could've mentioned the fire, the redo, how the house looks, if it feels like home. I can think of a number of things Jack could've said. It was just kinda clunky. And, of course, I'm not well adjusted to the way Matt looks at the moment. Also I'm not sure why he's back. Do we know?

People make good points about Sam aggressively choosing not to be associated with certain people she is related to by blood. But, to me, yesterday, Sam was totally wrong. The person she needs to talk to about this is Danny, not Jason, certainly not Carly. She brings up over & over again things that happened when Jason first hit town when they have already been totally dealt with. Jason heard her. He apologized. He said he was wrong. He tried to make a plan with her, giving boundaries & rules & saying what he would do for his part if Danny broke them. And, he has done so. And, Danny got grounded & lost his phone. Sam has a high level of worry but only Sam can do anything about that. Because Danny is Jason's son & so inherently has a certain level of danger. She seems to think that if Jason would just agree with her that all would be fine. But, it is simply not so. The only way Danny would be completely free of danger would be if NO ONE KNEW he was Jason's son & it's too late. Why in the world do people think Sam was right to appeal to Carly about this particular problem that only Sam seems to have? I have yet to see any glimmer of an idea why this should be Carly's problem. However, I will agree that it is an interesting conversation.

What I would like to say considering the fact that it seems not to be going away is that what is missing is a hashtag. Just some mark, an ID, that easily lets people either find you to agree with you or to avoid you. It could be #Anti-Ari or #Anti-Zucher or #IAmAnIdiot okay, probably not that one, moving on. #AgainstWhiteRichBitches ... These are just ideas to get you started. And, for the record, I HATE her politics. That applies also to Carolyn Hennessey, Kin Shriner, Ingo Rademacher, you get the idea here. But, I don't want to talk about that here & now. Amazing but I really just want to talk about the show. Now, go ahead, say your worst.

I guess to me the music is respectful, yes, somber, but it is about death, and, yes, just devastating, again this year. So much loss & far too many, way too young. I was at least pleased that they did not do anything egregiously wrong with the IM segment. I find I breathe a sigh of relief when there's not something glaring!!!

The question has been asked what in the hell does Julian Jerome & Olivia Jerome & their bullsh*t have to do with Sam? You may not like the answer but it is what it is, you cannot become unrelated to people you are related to. So, the point, pitiful as it is, still stands. To the people who think Sam deserves a retcon giving her a different father, well, just here's yet another reason to wish for that!

Is there any question in anyone's mind that if not for the lockout & the lawsuits & that interruption & the way that the Dobsons chose to come back to the show were not the real reason that the show did not ultimately succeed?

Often I feel that there is something off about the incidental music. I suspect someone is fooling around, experimenting & they should stop doing so! Apparently Kate Mansi didn't even flinch over a contract at GH. Between taping so far ahead & the Alarr debacle & how truly crazy Ron is, DAYS is maybe something. Definitely not your usual talking bear. So, Juneteenth took 3 days of show to tell. That must be the ratio of Salem to us time. The best of today was this visit from Eli & Lani & the twins! I like the fact that they bring them on for just a day every few months. It feels very authentic & in fact family does visit just like that. I'm still tired of Paulina. I'm so dang tired of Clyde I don't even like to hear his name!!! No concern about losing Janel. I briefly got confused. I thought all of a sudden they had found a way into the time capsule. No, just a funky looking safe deposit box. Empty save for a thumb drive. Because it's Pride I pulled a list of gay characters on a US soap & amazingly Challie wasn't on there.

When they did it, I surmised that they wanted someone with more acting chops because it seemed they were going to do a bullying story. Now that nothing has come of it, I have no clue.

I thought it was an amazing scene. The dialog was to die for. Two opposing points of view, each expressed well. And, an undertone. Like when Sam said something about "as friends" & Carly interrupted with "Are we?" Real, genuine, authentic. And to their credit, they each did so well. Of course, the icing on the cake was that they escalated until they were standing face to face, screaming at each other. If Patrick was responsible for this kind of angst, I sure am gonna miss him. If someone else was behind it, maybe they can get to do some more of this.

Well I just watched the show and wanted to talk about it which is not the thing here and now. I find myself looking askance at Doc having Alex & Leo as patients!! I mean run a special on rational behavior therapy. I know this is shrink talk but I disagree that "Nobody deserves to be alone." There are many people, bad people, evil people who deserve not only to be alone but lonely!! And we should all be okay being alone with ourselves at times. I have missed something. Why did EJ give up getting rid of Paulina?

The thing is, Jason did & has listened to her. They simply disagree. Like me, Jason is looking for a compromise that they can make work. If Carly prevailed upon him to go against his own opinion & his own feelings, maybe he would do it but it would break his heart & also it would break Danny's heart. The other side of the equation is Sam's worry. And, Sam will have to worry no matter what. It is known that Danny is Jason's son & so he is a target of kidnapping for leverage.

So the consensus here is that Sam is making sense & being reasonable. Then, a question: How many of you see a reason for this to be made Carly's problem? And, if so, why?

He said that there is an exception & that is when the person dies between the time the decision is made & the award presented. Charita Bauer does have a Posthumous Emmy & that must be what happened in her case. You know Agnes got every award that can be given & Bill Bell did okay, too, but Irna basically has nothing. I think there's a street named after. Otherwise, bupkus. And, I believe the first Daytime Emmy was in '74 but I could be wrong. I'm not looking it up. I do know it was THE DOCTORS.
