I hope you're right. I would hate for this state to be on the wrong side of this election. Eventually we'll need to address the demographic issues that led to us leaning Trump.

Frankly as long as the Republicans are threatening each other I'm happy to sit on the sidelines and sip tea.

I hope this business with the FBI finally shows Democrats that reaching across the aisle is a non-starter. If the Repubs are reaping the result of years of stoking anti-intellectualism and racism the Dems are dealing with the results of always trying to find common ground with them even to the detriment of the people we are supposed to be helping. The GOP is no longer a viable party. They aren't interested in governing. They care nothing about the Constitution.

Considering that the Fraternal Order of Police endorsed Trump I wouldn't expect much help from them.

Sam Wang of the PEC posted this on Sunday: "Oh, I’ll go out on a limb on one last item: there is time for one more weird twist in the campaign. Considering the life cycle of journalists’ hidden thought processes, I’ll say it is Donald Trump’s turn for the next adverse story." Looks like he called it. Now it's Trump and Russia. Does your friend not understand that Congress is in charge of the budget?

In a world where Trump is the Republican nominee "left-leaning" has been redefined as anyone who adheres to fact based reality 50 percent of the time. The thing I find ironic is that the people gunning for Hilz over emails want her to go to jail for what is at best a violation of State Department policy but Comey just committed a far more egregious violation. One where he spit in the face of decades of policy and went over his boss' head. He's given Obama every reason to ask for his resignation.

Harry Reid has some thoughts about this Comey affair.

It's fine. The fact that Comey went against DOJ policy has become the real story.

The Atlantic did a pretty good piece about why Trump TV is a non starter. http://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2016/10/donald-j-trumps-television-future/504500/ In short most options are too expensive for him and he's so ruined his brand that most potential investors have written him off.

I couldn't care less who Trump was boning then or now prided the other parties were consenting which clearly in many cases they weren't. My problem with Trump is that he's a mentally ill fascist and pathological liar. So pathological that he will claim that he never said something that he literally said on camera an hour earlier then will double down on ever more ridiculous lies. This man should be in a dementia ward, not running for any office anywhere. He an emotionally stunted lunatic with zero impulse control running for a job where he could kill people on a whim.

I've always liked Charles Blow but he's really distinguished himself during this election. He's been speaking hardcore truth since the beginning of this election and he was one of the first to start calling out the ugliness Bernie's campaign.

I don't give Moore one bit of credit. He's one of those negative leftists who allow the white male media to influence his perspective and now he has the gall to say it was him and his call to action that has helped sway people towards Clinton. He can STFU and take a seat. I am so fricking tired of people discounting the votes of women of all colors, blacks, latinos, Asians, muslims, jews, and yes even college educated white males who know better. This year especially has completely turned me off to the entire MSM. He pulled the same bullshit in 2012 running all over telling people Romney was winning and took credit for getting people energized to vote for Obama. One thing Bernie's campaign really opened my eyes to was the toxic strain of white and male privilege running through the left. The horrible gendered attacks on Clinton. The harassment of John Lewis. The Susan Sarandons and their blithe willingness to throw our most vulnerable under the bus just because Bernie lost. It's funny to see some of those people criticize Trump for claiming the process is rigged when Sanders did the same damn thing.

Idiot. He's gonna get Trump supporters shot up on election day listening to him. Sounds like a win-win to me.

I'll be interested to see how that goes. In the past HRC has said things to BLM activists that didn't go over well but, frankly, are exactly the same things I've been saying to young activists over the last few years. One big issue I've found with the BLM movement is that too many young activists enjoy the protesting and "hearts and minds" aspect but get bored when it comes to hammering out policy. I really don't want to see a repeat of the video where two BLM activists met with her backstage at one of her appearance and proceeded to talk about their feeling and wishes. Umm, no. If you get face time with the most powerful woman on the planet, respect the opportunity and talk about [!@#$%^&*] policy!

It's hysterical to see the very people who have been claiming voter fraud ever since the black guy won suddenly go "never mind!" It's another example of how the GOP poisoned its own well. I heard someone on NPR this morning say that since the Ohio GOP has split with Trump they aren't sure they want to vote Republican down ballot. It's a mess.
-

Yep. No Republican has ever won without Ohio but three Democrats have: Grover Cleveland, FDR and JFK.

Meh. Given everything that weasel Husted tried to do to rig the vote for the GOP, I love him having to take time out of his life to address this.

According to WaPo, Trump's path to an electoral college victory isn’t narrow. It’s nonexistent. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/powerpost/wp/2016/10/18/trump-electoral-college-victory-non-existent

There's nothing left to be said about Benghazi. Pat Smith is sadly, just a old woman driven insane by grief. Even her son's widow wants nothing to do with her and has gone on record stating that he wouldn't approve of her behavior. This is nothing more than a classic "mother hates daughter in law" battle and it's going to have no impact. Although I wouldn't be surprised if Pat Smith has a nervous breakdown during the debate and makes a scene. Trump would love that but it would only go to show how unfit he is to be Commander-in-Chief by subjecting a gold star mother to stress and public humiliation.

Doubtful. There's no indication that this election is going to be remotely close. Trump already knows he's going to lose. All this talk of rigging is just his attempt to save face. Once this is over he's going to need to focus on his tanking business and his rape trial. His minions will be left to rail and freak out online. The ones who talk too much will get a visit by Homeland Security. The real problem will be with the establishment Republicans who try to go back to business as usual which we already saw with John McCain saying that they won't have hearings on any of Hillary's SCOTUS nominees.

Sadly Julia the other day on twitter #blacksforTrump was trending and sadly it was as it says, black people tweeting support for him. Made my stomach turn given what a racist he is I suspect most of those accounts were newly created and/or fakes.

I felt the same way BUT that was the beauty of it. NOBODY responded the way Trumpers do. Notice Obama only asked them to stop interrupting while Trump demands they be assaulted and thrown out. They crowd didn't lay a hand on the person or even grab their sign. They just held up their signs to cover his and chanted Hillary's name. No one is going to get to claim that the Trump protestor (who BTW was a person of color) got abused.

Today I went to the Obama rally in Cleveland and we had a Trump protester. Bamz shut them down with the quickness. Mom and I are in the bleachers behind him. Honestly, it was very clear that the "protester" was impaired in some way, either cognitively or chemically. In fact he or she (it was hard to tell) looked homeless.
