  1. OC Tamra is on her 6th face? Her new teeth are awful and distracting. You know what hasn't changed? The fact that she's evil and will never, ever, change or improve.
  2. Yes, ironic that the last Emmys of the 1990s were the last time they were truly relevant. Precisely. She had nominations in 2018 and 2020 in the Supporting Actress category. The only explanation for why she was submitted as Lead is one thing: ego. Oh now there's some piping hot tea. NATAS is driving 100 miles an hour into irrelevancy.
  3. So the Emmys are back to streaming and have lost a network outlet? B&B getting virtually shut out is something. DAYS getting all those nominations (though WTF to Greg Rikaart) is a great thing. I expect next year they'll do even better with the episodes around John's death. Y&R has more nominations than it deserves. I sincerely hope Eileen Davidson wins when she's recurring but I'd also be happy if Sharon Case won given she did great work. How did Melissa Claire Egan get a nomination? Rooting for Susan Walters and Linden Ashby - it would be great to see a husband and wife win in the same year and they're both excellent actors.
  4. Without question. The role of Executive in Charge of Production, currently assumed by Steve Kent, is one of those glaring vanity titles with a salary that would outdo most of the cast.
  5. It's totally psychotic and incredibly lazy. Indeed, I can only watch episodes sporadically for important events because the day to day of this show is horrendous. Can you imagine what Bill Bell would think if he was alive and able to watch it? It's astounding that Sony seems satisfied with the state of the show. It's like Y&R is where Sony puts its ex-employees and their friends out to pasture.
  6. Is this the longest the show has gone without Jess Walton appearing?
  7. Loving those numbers for Lauren Koslow.
  8. ATL That "reveal" was a major...WTF. It fell flat to me. Phaedra doing this actually makes no sense. She had been filming less than a month, she hardly knows Angela, so why would she do this? Several of the cast were clearly thinking the same thing. @Antoyne's Friend did his best to have a moment, but whew, Charles Oakley was not having it. When Phaedra was on WWHL tonight, she said to a bewildered Andy "Make it make sense." I have to concur. It was probably Britt and all the miles on her mouth. Drew and Ralph...WTF? After all this crap he plays the piano and they high five? Kelly is full of crap. She was separated while filming was ongoing. She could start her new business anytime at that point. There are so many allegations flying around about unpaid rent, unpaid employees etc. Overall, a fair to middling season of ATL. I'll be curious to see how the reunion shakes out.
  9. I am loving the show right now and the way they wrote that Marlena/Roman/Kate scene and then how Kate decided it was time to "hang up her apron" and take the job at Titan precisely so she can take down Xander. Kate really got the shaft from the Former HW and was relegated to serving up chow at the Brady Pub. The new HW team has reinvigorated her in a big way. I appreciate that the writers are giving all of these veteran women characters something to do. I'm waiting on a storyline involving Marlena and clinical depression. I think her talking to Sarah about her normal bloodwork is hinting that Marlena knows something is wrong. I think you're right - the sole purpose of this storyline is to get Kate back into Titan so she can set out to take down Xander. Anyone could have written it, but the writers like the Alex/Stephanie chemistry (truth be told, I do too, they're an attractive cute couple).
  10. What story did Kelly have? A non-restaurant that never opened. A divorce that nobody cares about. A falling out with B**t E***y? Tons of debt behind the scenes? If I were producers, she would be a one and done. Angela carried the season on her back. And she and Charles are going to be reunion all stars.
  11. Julia is awful. On WWHL Kiki confirmed that Julia did go to New York for a facelift while Martina was receiving chemotherapy. So for Julia to cite Martina’s treatment while throwing a drink on Guerdy is truly insane. Team Guerdy all day. I don’t understand how Julia doesn’t realize she’s totally in the wrong.
  12. The only one whose maintained her dignity in those dresses is Cynthia. Shamea's dress looks like it's made from kiwi slices.
  13. Now THIS is incredible.
  14. They sure did and it was great and gave excellent content over several episodes. Dorinda got to meet with her great friend, Trinny Woodall, and had an entire scene with her. That never would have happened with a whole cast trip. The idea of a 'whole cast' is part of a problem. The fact that it's thought of as a 'cast' is also a problem because it reduces the organic interaction within the group.
  15. I co-sign everything you've mentioned. We're in for a good run with Miami, OC, and then Salt Lake City. Beverly Hills and Atlanta have been major disappointments, so it's nice to be enjoying a HW franchise again. Miami has this lush, splashy, telenovela saturation of colour that none of the other franchises can touch. It really feels like you're there with the rest of the housewives. Alexia's "Fake apartment...fake car" monologue was fabulous.
  16. I don't watch GH with any regularity anymore, limiting it to Nurse's Ball and when Jackie Zeman's tribute shows aired, but I will tune in to see Erika Slezak...hopefully as Vicki.
  17. They really are given they are not HW roles where you can see an obvious regime change. Is it a budget issue?
  18. I've watched up to Part Three and have thought the episodes are strongly written and the performances have been excellent. I loved that Kate got a little moment at the end, saying that John had been one of few true friends. That was true. Loved Bo saying "And that's a fact" - there were so many different reactions from the actors, it really touched them. Now for something petty... When Kristian Alfonso quit DAYS she gave a long interview to SOD and she mentioned all the actors by name and the only person she did not name was Deidre Hall. So it amused me when Hope hugged Marlena at the funeral and Deidre kept those arms of hers straight down, not embracing Hope for even a second. Whatever went down between Deidre and Suzanne Rogers must be epic, given Deidre so rarely even shares a scene with her, let alone dialog.
  19. My hunch is what you've described. JFP is likely back working on transitioning the show to a new studio and embracing new technology for its production model.
  20. All caught up on this week's episodes. Deidre Hall has done the best work of her career with this series of episodes. That is her tribute to Drake. Every acting choice has been perfect. From her reaction the moment John flatlined, to her snapping at Abe and Paulina (what a smart, realistic writing choice), to her grief playing the text message over and over. Josh Taylor did the best work of his career in the scene with Kayla telling him John had died. Everything about his facial expression, voice, pronunciation, everything was so different from what he usually does. He was overcome with the emotion of it and any of his acting tics disappeared. Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso were great. One thing I noticed with the flashbacks of John/Marlena and Bo/Hope is that Bo and Hope are constantly smiling at each other. The chemistry those two have cannot be faked. It's clear the writing team decided to clean up Bo and Hope and give fans a happy ending for them, neatly wrapped up in a bow. The juxtaposition of Bo and Hope reclaiming their happiness thanks to John, while Marlena is dealt life's harshest blow from John's sacrifice, was another great writing choice. Marlena even saying that to Eric, that she is paying for Bo's recovery with John's life, was such smart writing. Susan Seaforth Hayes was used very effectively between the two storylines. I really enjoyed the scene of Kate talking to Philip, calmly stating that she will make Xander pay. Overall, the show should be lining these episodes up for the Emmys and Deidre should be carefully choosing her scenes for her own reel. She deserves a Best Actress Emmy for this work. The first time I have felt that way about her work. Peter Reckell should submit himself for Guest for the scenes where he found out Victor is dead because he was genuinely heartbreaking. Josh Taylor should throw his name down for Supporting Actor for his scenes. The show deserves a Writing and Best Show for what they've done with the episodes around John and Bo. It was heavy stuff and I feel for the actors. I am so impressed with what they did.
  21. Ed is a legend. He discovered and nurtured talent for decades and was a hands on producer in the day to day production of every show he worked on. Busy on the studio floor and in the booth. The genre is better for him having been in it. I wish him a happy, healthy, lengthy, retirement.
  22. I expect Y&R will vacate TV City soon. B&B will be well served at Sunset Las Palmas Studios and I hope they are able to invest in their sets and production with more space. Television production in Los Angeles has taken a real hit, so I have no doubt that SLPS was very happy to take on a long term tenant like B&B.
  23. She's saying The Photo was *not* of her and claims she's only seen it recently. This whole attack on Kenya was an unmitigated sham. Brit is a one and done. NEXT.
  24. That is exactly what is going to happen. And good.
  25. Wow, for Brit to not show up...there had to be some mighty receipts in someone's pocket. I expect the ladies to roast her in absentia. Thank the lord she'll never be asked back.
