  1. @NothinButAttitude Whenever I think of RHONY cast trips, "Not Really" is the moment that springs to my mind first. I don't know why, but I just LOVE the way Luann growls that from the side of her mouth. I find myself falling into unconsciously saying it the same way IRL. Totally agree about Luann being a MVP on many a cast trip. Luann loves a tropical beach vacation for sure. She has a zest for life and enthusiasm that I find very watchable on these trips. Now, I like Heather and the S5-6 newbie crew, but this was not a good look on them. First of all, they insisted on blaming the wrong person for the dude in the bedroom (it was Ramona). Even after they found out it was Ramona, they continued after Luann with their judgy stank faces and pearl-clutching. This convo tho, lol. Sonja makes me laugh so hard: Kristen: There was a little bit of making out on the deck. Luann: Absolutely. Copping to it totally. Kristen: And he said your man was married. Luann: ....Ah. well... Carole: ðŸĪŠ Heather: Luann: You know--- Sonja: Sh*t happens. 😄
  2. So this is random, but I am watching a few episodes of S7 RHONY this morning (Rich Bethenny's first season back). They went to Turks & Caicos for their cast trip (Countess: "Don't be all, like, uncool"). NYC has truly standout trips. Which are your faves? S3 Scary Island (the OG of them all) S4 Mo-ROC-Co S5 St Barts S6 Montana S7 Turks and Caicos S8 Miami S9 Mexico S10 Cartagena S11 Miami again Gotta say, I have a real love for the St Barts episodes. The pirate. Aviva going ballistic. You're both white trash, quite frankly!
  3. He hasn't filmed WWHL in over a week, and he has done his radio show from home. He self-isolated pretty early on, but I imagine he has staff (nanny, housekeeper, personal assistant), and I guess he will be counting back over the incubation period and contacting all those he came into contact with. That could be how he got it. Hope it's just a mild case for everyone concerned and that baby Ben in particular is doing fine.
  4. Oh no! I hope he and the baby are ok and taking all the precautions. The BH trailer. Lord. Erika, Kyle, Teddi, Dorit. Are they bringing anything to the table? Kyle has a nice house, I guess.
  5. And BH. Also Bravo started this new show Family Karma -- I'm thinking of giving it a go. LOL can you just imagine reunion with chairs 6 feet apart? And Nene one of the HWs going over to another HW Kenya and threatening her with the coronavirus? Is Andy going to jump in there to pull them apart? Haven't watched ATL episode yet, but that sneak peek of Nene and Kenya making bitch-faces at each other looks good. This is starting to feel like 'old' ATL, mainly because this rivalry has been brewing for years and has never really come out in the open until now. (The rivalry is also Nene and Kenya's express ticket to next season -- whenever that gets filmed).
  6. That was beautiful.
  7. So now that he thinks he might have it, he declares a national emergency. Last week at one of his bigly incubator rallies, he called Covid-19 a hoax! Thank you for the advice. I will see what I can do.
  8. Just want to say Thank you Errol and SON for operating as per normal. This week my anxiety about this pandemic has mushroomed. I am grateful to know that if/when I have to be confined at home during a lockdown or work-from-home mandate, I would be able to check on here for some 'familiar faces' and soaps talk. Funny how I thought this thread would make me panic even more, but I'm reading about Cruz having to self-isolate AGAIN (not to mention BolsoAmazonBurning and the orange one partying it up at Mar-a-lago on the nation's dime, only to find out that at least one of them has this thing) and suddenly I feel strangely calm.
  9. This week has been incredibly busy and anxiety-inducing. I have not been able to come to the board until now, and what a relief it is to talk about RH and soaps and stuff and give the brain a rest from worst-case scenarios and worry. 😌 @DynamiteKiddo @chrisml Regarding Yolanda: I think she epitomises the description "iron fist in a velvet glove." She is graceful and elegant, and channels European wealth and glamour. IA that she did look down on LVP and Ken as garish, tacky and below her. The biggest irony of all was that she married her way UP into that 'garish' world -- Mohamed Hadid. And I think it is pretty clear the way she talked on BH that she was cheated on constantly. It must have been humiliating and consequently she probably looks back on that as a dark time for her, one she does not remember fondly. The rumor is that Mo likes high-class escort girls, which his last GF Shiva may have been. And which Joanna Krupa was rumored to have been. And which -- I'm making a speculative leap here -- Yolanda may also have been, after her modelling career petered out. I also think the way she launched her daughters' modelling careers was genius. Rinna can only look on in envy! At the beginning, I believed Yolanda was limiting her daughters' potential by encouraging them into modelling -- an industry which spits out young girls after using them. I also thought Gigi and Bella were smart enough to go the college route. However, now she has set them up for life financially so... I remember Yo on WWHL during S4 (Carlton season), and Andy referred to Brandi as her BFF and Yolanda went "I wouldn't say close friend, she's an acquaintance" and the audience went OOOOOOOO. She definitely pulled a "I don't know ha." That was ruthless, and I'm surprised Brandi never, ever lashed out at Yolanda in revenge. Because she sure as hell went after LVP after she felt dropped. Erika & Yolanda. Clearly they had never met before the show put them together. It was an alliance, evident at reunion when Yolanda ran out halfway through and Erika was prompted (as her 'friend') to follow. She coldly but quietly told Yolanda in her dressing room to pull it together. The two shared an understanding and certain commonalities. They were both married to prestigious wealth, both icy blondes with their eyes on a bigger prize than the show itself. Their relationship of convenience seemed a good one, and a relatively warm one (as warm as it can be between two ice queens!). And the hate for LVP with the both of them is legit. @Antoyne @chrisml I loved Kathryn! Her life story was really interesting and she seems genuinely good people on social media. NJ: Seeing the castmates and their husbands talk honestly about their lives (and sex lives), it feels largely authentic, and you can tell that most of these people hang out for real during the off season. It makes this reunion an easy, breezy pleasure to watch. I FFed the stuff at the end when it was just Jennifer yelling at the right couch because that is draining. But it was fun seeing the husbands (Evan talked more than during the entire season). Jennifer's insistence on the sex she is having with her husband is OTT. Methinks she doth protest too much. Something about the way Jackie kept somewhat quiet, hanging out on the edge of her sofa (while Jennifer is practically in Dolores' lap) makes me wonder if she will be gone after this season. She seems a little over it all. The talk about Caroline Manzo makes me want her to come back. She is buds with Dolores, after all.
  10. NJ: Jennifer was annoying with the interrupting, but it was also fun to see how fast she is on her feet. She was bringing out her inner Queens. Calling out a smug and complacent Melissa on her fake SLs was GOLD! Melissa, who assumes she is safer-than-safe, who kept looking to Jackie & Marge as 'her' backup -- no, honey, you have to think fast and come back at Jennifer all by yourself! Jennifer was also giving Marge quite the workout. Marge maybe got herself a somewhat worthy opponent. Also this part: Jennifer: You spend all your time complimenting yourself on your selfies! Melissa: Who told you that?! Jennifer: Oh, I'd rather not say. Cut to Teresa looking innocent. What I liked best was seeing friendships across the 'two groups'. Dolores and Jackie now having a friendship, and Jackie avoiding the racism card which perhaps other HWs would have milked for relevancy. Marge defending Dolores to Jennifer. Teresa respecting Jackie's struggle with her eating disorder. Maybe the audience wants more fighting and toxic anger, but I like that this establishes more authentic links between the women. It actually increases the stakes whenever the group is forced to pick a side. Haha yes, I will hate-watch Rinna/Vyle/Divorced Dorit/Erotika/the smug boring pregnant one until boredom sets in. (I can already picture Smug Boring One's first scene: her pregnant ass on a treadmill lecturing us. "Just cuz you're pregnant doesn't mean you can slack on your exercise routine!"). However, I'm fine with Camille, ok about Denise, WAY excited about Garcelle (I wonder if Vivica A. Fox was ever asked to join BH?) and ready to see what Sutton has to offer. Brandi -- um..... I am dreading her first scene which will undoubtedly be about LVP. I think her comments on Twitter have been excessively crude and bullying. However, I have been listening to her podcast recently and, weirdly, she's actually sort of ok on there? She also lets her guests talk. Re: OC -- I heard Tamra is back. As a full-time HW. Just when you think she's dead... she pops up and attacks you!
  11. Dorinda's late husband Richard was an adviser to the Clinton's, if I recall correctly. Dorinda campaigned for Hillary in 2016. So maybe Dorinda called in a favour. Also Hillary has a 4-hour Netflix documentary to shill.
  12. I have a weird soft spot for Yolanda -- despite her snobby high-handedness and cold single-mindedness. S4 when she jumped all over Ken practically accusing him of assault and then sniffed "My husband would never be seen with the likes of you!" really turned me off. But S5 won me back when she took everybody to Holland and bonded nostalgically with LVP on a deeper level (both were Voices of Reason that trip). Amid the snootiness, I liked the way she cut to the heart of things, talking about her family, about fakeness, men replacing their wives for a younger model (*cough*), women ready to screw anybody over for a Gucci handbag. Genuine moments that contributed to the franchise beyond beautiful houses and picture-perfect Instagram lives. Since she left the show, I realise that she has left a gaping hole. Yolanda added glamour, wealth and A-list power to the show (alongside LVP). BH has desperately tried to replicate that effortless glamour but no-one on BH comes close. Not even Erika Girardi. You can't replicate David Foster's stature in the music industry, or the Hadid sisters rise to legit supermodel superstardom. I found all that fascinating to watch. After S6 I was ready for Yo to leave because the Lyme disease stuff was depressing and toxic. The backlash ruined everybody and BH has never been the same since. However, in hindsight, I think she was dismissed too hastily, and if they ever brought her back, I would be ok with that. Seeing Kyle and Rinna cower in front of her laser ice-blue gaze (they were legit scared of her) would be worth it! Rinna, as you and @DynamiteKiddo point out, has become utterly ruthless. The way she targets the weakest link and picks them off (addicted Kim; sick Yolanda; nutty Eden who really wasn't that nutty after all, just used and thrown under the bus by Rinna). The way she takes one original element from a HW and tries to co-opt it for herself. For example, seeing her push those Dollar-Store Hadid daughters (the eldest child has had so much surgery and fillers, she now looks unrecognizeable). This is what I mean about the gaping hole Yolanda has left behind! Those poor kids are NOT supermodel material. Or seeing her adopt Erika Jayne's wigs and costumes. It's like she is trying to become somebody else. I feel like she is progressively losing her joy, vulnerability and humanity. This season will tell whether Rinna returns to the forefront of the BH stage like the STAH we know she is dying to be. And hopefully we get more Harry and Lois because those two humanize her. Maybe one day we will also see her comeuppance.
  13. The fact that they have delayed it has dampened my expectations somewhat. It suggests that they are hastily trying to re-cut the season and find some excitement in the footage. Honestly, I wouldn't mind a 12-episode season for BH if that is the case. Keep it pacey. I don't need filler. The past three seasons have been filler enough! I am also hesitant about the new BH production team. ATL changed its longtime production team around S9-10 and ever since I haven't been able to completely connect with the show. Could this happen with BH too? We get a new production team bringing in 'catchy' music and speedy Kardashianesque jump-cuts and whatnot, but ultimately not understanding the show or the women and not really caring to go deeper with them. I am re-watching S5 ("You don't know what I go through AT NIGHT!" / Amsterdam / Brandi imploding) -- what a fun and wild ride that was. The drama and personal interactions were intense. And lord help me but I really liked Yolanda that season.
  14. Finally got to watch ATL. OK, so Kenya: I acknowledge that she and her marriage are literally carrying the show this season. There is nothing else going on otherwise. I want to feel bad for her, but when she goes out of her way to target Tanya and Marlo, I can't. WTH did Tanya ever do to her? That cookie lady stunt was so hurtful. She even acts shady towards her BFF Cynthia. So when Marc treats her like he does, I can't help but think 'What's good for the goose...' When Kenya was talking to Cynthia about accepting Mike Hill's past and not just falling for who you want him to be, I couldn't help but think that is what happened with Kenya and Marc. Both were attracted to the image each other projected, and to what the other person could do for them. When they discovered that both are gold-star assholes who go low and petty, well, as karmic as that is, it put paid to the marriage. Marc seriously hates her. Like he goes out of his way to kiss up to Nene and Marlo because he knows that drives Kenya nuts. This. She used that event to lord it over those she dislikes in particular. Hiding Marlo's nephews in the back -- they are the target demographic for this non-profit! To her, this was meant to be K and Marc's big married-couple moment for the cameras, but it ended up exposing their individual pettiness big-time. And he is just.... THE WORST. Greta Garbo over here wants to be left alone?? Bullshit. He used this charity event (and his connections with the RHOA husbands) to burnish his own image and raise his profile. Then he throws a hissy fit about the cameras being there too long! They were there long enough to capture his speech, though! Lucky for him! He pretends to be Mr. Super-Private, but that tantrum was all about getting noticed and showing Kenya the finger (metaphorically).
  15. @DynamiteKiddo I thought I was the only one who missed Siggy Flicker! I mean, she was crazy and obsessive and it was exhausting to watch how obsessed she was with punishing Marge. But the season she self-destructed was one of NJ's best. I still wish she hadn't been fired. After all, she had ok relationships with Teresa and Melissa, and of course Dolores. That Marge-Siggy rivalry could have been one for the ages, especially adding Danielle and Jennifer to that crazy mix! S1 NJ imo was already toxic but S2 ramped it up another level and set the template for years to come. Melissa basically owes her entire TV career to Danielle uttering those famous words to Teresa at S2 reunion: "Did you acknowledge your nephew?" Andy's eyes lit up interestedly, and when Teresa shoved Andy to get to Danielle, production knew they had found Tre's hot button for S3 onwards. Danielle and Melissa apparently corresponded throughout S2 on Facebook, so she'd better watch out because something tells me Danielle still has those messages saved somewhere.
  16. There *is* something deeply tragic about Danielle. As we learned in S1 and S2, Danielle has been rejected all her life, and she probably counts her Sicilian teenage mother giving her up for adoption as the first rejection. I will always remember when Danielle found out her birth mother died before they could ever meet. It felt like such a blow on top of everything else Danielle was going through -- the Manzos, Lauritas and Giudices essentially made her a pariah in Franklin Lakes, while Kims G and D hastily switched teams to join them. Danielle desperately wanted acknowledgement that she had been wronged, and the other women were never going to give that to her. But I think the most powerful visual I remember from her early seasons was Jacqueline Laurita (no innocent bystander) taunting Danielle to come out from the car. This was just after Teresa had chased Danielle through the Posche fashion show and Ashlee had yanked her weave out, and it was a chilling moment. As for the Marge, I love her wit, smarts and moments of empathy, so I'm pretty much drinking the Kool-Aid as far as she is concerned. But Bravo's got me questioning everybody's true intentions on these shows! Obviously these women are actual real people, multifaceted and complicated, so they can't always fit a one-dimensional heroine mould. I do wonder if there is more to Marge than we are shown, though, and when the mask will start to slip. @chrisml I don't think anyone was blaming Melissa for what Teresa did. That is all on Teresa. She has acted this way since S1, stirring people up against a common target. What I was saying was that I think Melissa was lowkey happy to broadcast this nugget of information for her own ends.
  17. I actually enjoyed Melissa pretending to run Envy because it usually meant Kim D would be showing up on her broomstick to announce that she was selling surplus Envy stock at an 80% discount, lol. @DynamiteKiddo had a great point about the Jersey HWs exhibiting the bad side of their characters with the good. Danielle is no exception. I feel bad for the constant rejection/banishment from her friendship groups. However, the reason she gets rejected is because she is a loon who demands that her friends be utterly devoted to her 24/7. She must be exhausting to deal with.
  18. Oh, I'm not denying that Teresa was guilty. The footage is there for everyone to see. Teresa is highly threatened by Marge's popularity. I guess I'm a bit paranoid when it comes to the RHs! I assume people are strategizing behind the scenes, and I don't trust Melissa when she acts like the innocent bearer with bad news. I feel like she would love for Teresa to be in the doghouse while she comes out smelling like a rose. Perhaps BH was the wrong analogy. Maybe more OC? 😄 Reunion should be good, especially now that Margaret knows Teresa hates her guts. Agree with all this. And Kathy & Rosie got thrown under the bus by Melissa & Joey. I wish they would spill the beans! Enjoyed the finale a lot. Sala Consilina took me back to that great episode in S2, and the girls clearly adore their father. The main reason I want Teresa to stay on the show is because I love to watch her family. I even enjoyed that mini season 'Teresa Checks In' when it was all about the dawters, and littke Milania was wielding that shaver over Joe's hairy back like a pro, lol.
  19. Given that production had been stringng Danielle along for 3 long years -- despite a televised engagement, wedding and hair-pulling fight with Marge -- the least they can do is put her next to Andy. I'm not sure why Danielle doesn't get a HW spot. Surely she doesn't cost much. Is it Marge pulling rank? Or maybe even Teresa? Once Danielle gets to be a HW again, she might be less inclined to kiss up to Tre. Like @NothinButAttitude said, NJ has lost some steam after two great seasons. Don't get me wrong, I am entertained by NJ whenever I watch. But I'm not always impatient to watch the next episode, you know? I am excited for the finale tho. Jennifer has earned her spot and made it all about her this season. I enjoy watching her. The thing annoying me atm is some of the Team Marge/Melissa/Jackie machinations. Just like they are exiling Danielle from the group, Jennifer is now their next target. I was disappointed that Joe Gorga took a shot at Bill a few episodes back; the husbands normally stay out of the women's drama and go out for drinks, and I like it that way. Obviously Melissa got him to do that. Ultimately, Team M/M/J are out to isolate Teresa. I feel like Melissa in particular is showing her hand here. Luckily, Teresa knows this, and she's already jealous of Marge's popularity, which is why she sicced Danielle on Marge. I hope that these BH-style machinations get thoroughly exposed at reunion. I also hope Danielle spills the tea on Melissa. Melissa will probably claim that Danielle is crazy and a liar, as everyone does when Danielle exposes them, but Danielle's 'lies' have a way of actually being true.
  20. Hopefully Karen is just being her sometimes-overdramtic self, probably to make a point to Candiace who is acting out. I doubt Dame Karen (hell, any of the Potomac women) cost a lot of money for Bravo, and I hope they know her value to the show, because it is immense. She OWNED Ashley and Gizelle's asses in the final part of reunion last year. And Bravo knows it because if I recall correctly, they posted some of it on YT and the comments overflowed with fans cheering Karen on. I don't even blame her for losing it with Michael, especially the way he cheated on her and financially abandoned her and his kids for his new sidepiece.
  21. Whoa whoa whoa what?? Why would they touch la Grande Dame?? Their precious Gizelle needs the conflict!
  22. At BravoCon, Teresa's event got a LOT of fans. She is actually pretty ok with a live audience. I'm sure Bravo was taking note. I think she is one of the few OGs remaining who is safe for now. I wish Danielle hadn't left the franchise so abruptly, as batshit as she is. This latest story that Teresa set her up only reinforces the need for her to return, for a spot at reunion at least. Revenge is a dish best served cold, as Danielle well knows!
  23. Omg 😄 Is that...Vicki?!
  24. So... the BH rumor in Lomdon is that PK is still here. And he is still here because Dorit has asked for a divorce. Unconfirmed, but that's the whisper here.
