  1. Obviously the more granular you go with ratings, the more room for error, but those daily demos are bizarre. Looking at CBS on Tuesday and especially Thursday.
  2. “Whoomp, there it is!”
  3. How young is young? Would Nicole on BTG count?
  4. I suppose Dani is the Carrie Bradshaw of Fairmont Crest with these outfits.
  5. The women are great, with only a couple exceptions we’ve all discussed (MG, JJ, RRM, Cady if we’re including recurring folks). The men, on average, don’t match up. Not even close. (Santa Barbara had a SUPERB male cast.) And the eye candy is much too subtle.
  6. No way is she dressed like that! I’m not watching live. Lololol.
  7. That’s where first saw him too. Just so sexy. That Carey Mulligan adaptation a few years back was so inferior. (Tom Sturridge is no Terence Stamp in spite of their shared initials.)
  8. I wonder why BTG was so low on that Tuesday.
  9. So sad. GH has really gotten hit hard in the past few years. I can’t really remember a soap having so many major iconic stars associated with it pass away so close together, even accounting for age and the show’s long run. He really did have that old-school, easy, masculine star quality that is increasingly rare.
  10. Naomi is almost as unlikable as Ashley for me at this point. Almost.
  11. And that’s unfortunate, because they had a solid rapport, and she’s wasted as yet another Bill yes-man.
  12. I thought that was going to be Caroline, based on their pre-wedding interactions.
  13. It all seems so pointless. It’s not going to get better as long as JG is there, and obviously there’s a silent majority who are good with the show as is. The only hope is that JG burns out again and leaves. Even then, TPTB clearly haven’t cared about making a quality show in decades, and they are satisfied with playing the golden oldies like Victor’s reign of terror.
  14. For me, this show is such an abomination that I can’t even really talk about it anymore without feeling insane. The whole value of soaps is TIME… to see how stories affect people with different individual perspectives. There’s zero reason to get invested in any of these “incidents” that JG creates. It’s beyond bad. It’s lazy and incompetent.
  15. To the tune of Sabrina Carpenter: You'll just have to taste me when he's kissin' you.
  16. I’ve always wanted to see more of her. She was such a promising presence during premiere week.
  17. I agree with this. One huge advantage of BTG is that it’s a new soap: it can be nimble while the legacy soaps are pulling heavy cargo they’re unwilling or unable to offload. I wish BTG took even more advantage of this opportunity. 100 percent. They are shown too much to be so atomized.
  18. I agree, but Ted King has been around the block, and his recent stint at B&B was mostly a huge letdown. Not his fault, but the bloom is a bit off the rose. I would be VERY surprised at Shemar, who could certainly headline a Tyler Perry Netflix movie if he wanted to, but not sure if there’d be that much buzz for TK beyond the diehards. He’s not someone I’d hype up. He feels more like JL and CM. A trusted vet.
