  1. OMG. STFU Teddy.
  2. Thank you! I will say that’s what great about her area: people look out for each other. But isolating there can be a struggle. I think folks are scared, though, because people they know are being infected and hospitalized. It’s no longer some crazy thing that’s happening in NYC. My mom was so afraid for me up here, and now the tables have turned. Much of it is tied to chicken processing plants, which employ a LOT of people in my mom’s county:
  3. So glad to hear he’s in recovery. I can’t imagine what that’s been like for him, or you. (Thanks for your prayers!) Also learned that a former co-worker was completely laid out with an illness a couple weeks ago and only just now was informed she had COVID from the antibody test. Thank you! Having an 81-year-old diabetic mother and a sister with lupus/kidney transplant in a COVID hotspot is scary, as I’m sure it’s been for all of us with vulnerable loved ones in hard-hit areas.
  4. Thanks for the love, both of you!
  5. A bunch of ATWT actors paid tribute to him when he passed, right? Michael Park? I know CZP appeared to love him, as he centered the show around Barbara. I don’t recall any of his so-called innovations, but I’m chalking that up to the feature writer not knowing soaps. At the time, I did like that at least he tried to ground Leah Laiman’s stories, most of which felt like half-baked gimmicks, in character (like Andy’s paralysis and Rose). He did bring buzz to the show during a time when it otherwise would have faded into obscurity. But man, did things come undone.
  6. Thank you! I think the news about it hitting close to home made her take it more seriously (someone she knows who lives up the road from her tested positive), and she’s being very cautious.
  7. She is as of now, but I was furious to learn that she and my nephew left to go to the local Dollar General to pick up groceries over the weekend... Thank you!
  8. My mom just told me that her county in Mississippi is a COVID hotspot. Scary stuff.
  9. https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/69/wr/mm6919e6.htm Long road ahead for this guy:
  10. I was just talking with someone about an updated HOTC, and lo and behold: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/head-class-reboot-bill-lawrence-works-at-hbo-max-1294344
  11. Wow, Al Freeman, Jr.’s submission for Lead Actor must have been a doozy to beat that in 1979. These days, DAYS would blow their entire budget having that many people in one room.
  12. Murray Bartlett is hot af, but that’s the first lineup that is entirely a “pass” IMO.
  13. From Texas 🇺🇸
  14. There’s been a cluster tied to gay nightclubs in Seoul, but people don’t want to come forward to be tested due to homophobia in South Korea’s conservative society: ”After Kookmin Ilbo, a local media outlet with links to an evangelical church, reported that businesses visited by an infected man over the long weekend were gay clubs, many other South Korean media followed suit, revealing not only the identity of clientele but also some of their ages and the names of their workplaces.”

  16. I do like that Ramona admires her for escaping a similarly troubled childhood and becoming a successful businesswoman. I actually like Ramona a lot this season. She’s still super oblivious but also with a deeper sense of self-reflection and taking stock of her life. The women on this show just have much richer and more well-expressed inner lives than on the other series, even with all the broad comedy and drunken antics.
  17. I don’t miss the Bethenny one-woman show either. I like Leah a lot too, and she brings a lot of the Frankel wit without the I’m so much smarter than you arrogance, self-absorption, and overbearing judgment. I just don’t fully buy her in this group quite yet. New housewives are always tricky unless they’ve had long relationships with the cast that preceded their appearance. Her banter with Sonja is fun. And I must say Drunk Sonja was a blast at that stuffy dinner party, and I don’t tend to love her when she’s three sheets to the wind.
  18. Lots of records being tied or broken on this week’s Hot 100;
  19. Why can’t TEB go back to that hairstyle instead of the dated Jessica Rabbit look she’s currently sporting?
  20. From Mumbai 🇮🇳
  21. Ok, I’m cackling at this reunion.
  22. Another Jill track from back in the day:
  23. Oof. That Guy Fawkes goatee on Josh Morrow. Not a good look.
