  1. "Black Americans for the President's Agenda," eh? So, who does THAT organization consist of? LOL!!
  2. I get what you mean, lol. Nevertheless, it felt so weird not to see Roseanne, even if the Roseanne Conner of the reboot/revival had little in common with the Roseanne Conner of the original series.
  3. I never watched "Friends," so....
  4. If and when Dan feels ready to start dating again, I hope the writers at least think about casting Kathleen Turner. She'd be awesome as a chain-smoking, trash-talking barmaid who sets everyone's teeth on edge. JS.
  5. Seeing Dan in that bed for the first time w/o Roseanne was, for me, the most gut-wrenching moment of all. I hadn't been that affected since the first time I watched Archie Bunker cry over Edith's slipper. He did. Let's be honest, as many people as they have in that cast right now, Jerry and Andy would just be two more characters struggling for airtime.
  6. I kinda wish it had been Darlene, though. Now that she and David are splitsville, it'd be good to see Darlene gradually realize she's a lesbian (since I've never bought her with any male anyway). I hate to say it, because there was a lot that I loved about the episode, but I think this'll be the end of the line for the Conner family. The ensemble is solid, but it's really missing something without Rosey. But, if I'm proven wrong and it does live to see another season, then I'm going to need another death in that family, because I can't take anymore of "Wacky Jackie." I just can't.
  7. Dear God. I just hope she and her family will be okay from this.
  8. Oh, Lord. That just puts a whole different spin on the episode where .
  9. I had to google her to find out what you were talking about...and I can't believe she took the bait. It's another form of birtherism, plain and simple; and nobody seems to understand that telling Trump to eff off would suffice.
  10. Frankly, I'm rooting for the witches. (Oh, no. As it turns out, one of my friends from NYC owns or co-owns the bookstore where the hex-laying will take place. This is going to make for me and Mama Khan's most awkward convo ever.)
  11. Agree.
  12. I know one thing that turned me off to Bernie was the attitude that voter suppression against AA communities was not a "real" issue. SCOTUS' decision to strip away provisions of the Civil Rights Acts was a clear sign that it was.
  13. No, what I meant was, the incident with the two men posing as Communists (to make a donation to a Democratic candidate) might look like an incident of little (or no) significance, but so did the break-in at DNC headquarters back in '72, before Bob Woodward (according to the movie) decided there was something more.
  14. That incident seems strange now...but wait 'til it becomes the next Watergate.
  15. Does anyone know what happened to longtime OLTL (and DOCTORS and AW) scribe Lanie Bertram?
  16. We should be used to that by now, though. After all, Trump is still president.
  17. Well, I gave up trying to watch the clip w/ Don Lemon's reaction from "CNN Tonight." Apparently, (Kan)Ye is just too damn out there for my poor iMac.
  18. Well, as Prince once said, take me with u. I just haven't the strength to deal with this. Ya know? Between my B**** K******** hangover and the run-up to midterms, it's all I can do to hang on until "Countdown to Christmas" on the Hallmark Channel. (Kan)Ye, for your sake, I hope you know what you're doing. And if you don't? Then get help.
  19. The only thing that's real about Donald J. Trump is his ignorance.
  20. That is some good news...but I'm taking nothing for granted, lol.
  21. "LOCK! HER! UP! LOCK! HER! UP!" Seriously, I am soooooo over the Trump supporters' fetish for women and minorities in cages. But, let's say that it does come down in 2020 to him and Trump. What do I do? Do I stay home? I did that last election. So did a lot of other people. That's one reason why we're in the mess that we're in. Do I vote third party? I think that's another reason why Trump sits in the Oval Office today. Too many Susan Sarandons felt Hillary would be just as bad as Trump, if not worse, and still do. Plus, if I'm being perfect and frank, I think voting third party is essentially throwing away your vote. I hear what you're saying about Bloomberg, and I totally agree. But I know I wouldn't want another four years of Trump either. So, again, what do I do?
  22. IKR? The man is out of office, people! Stop blaming him for [!@#$%^&*] and leave him and his family the hell alone! There are times when I wish we never have another non-Caucasian president. Because, honestly, what brutha (or sistah) should subject themselves to such abuse? You have to really, REALLY love this country to want to run after seeing how the Obamas continue to be treated. Not that I believe it'll happen, too, but I'd really love to see Wheeler given the Scott Pruitt treatment for liking that photo. Everything else that goes on at Trump House becomes a front-page scandal, why shouldn't this be one, too? That jackass.
  23. IA. I hate to say it, too, but I actually think someone who, in the past, might have been labelled as "too establishment" or too much of a Washington insider will end up looking ideal after Trump. ("Back to Basics"? "Business as usual"? Sounds good to me!) So, yeah, Joe Lieberman, come on down, lol. The truth is, if we try for another Obama on the heels of Trump, this nation will be divided more than ever, as impossible as that seems at the moment. We could very well end up having another civil war or another situation that results in the creation of two Americas. Yeah, I tend to agree there, too. For me, it's not looking good. Nevertheless, I'm voting Democrat no matter who ends up being the nominee, just because I don't believe I'll ever be able to trust the GOP again. It's going to take them at least a generation, and a ton of the "old guard" dying out, before some (reasonably more) sensible folks who won't cater to the most craven of us reclaim the party for the better.
  24. I'm afraid so. I've resigned myself to the fact that I'll probably never see another Obama, or even another Hillary Clinton, in my lifetime. We might dig ourselves out of the hole that Trump has put us in...someday...eventually. But I think we'll be too wrapped up in restoring civility and normalcy and stability, both to the WH and to this nation, to entertain another young, youthful, energetic contender with big ideas for a LONG time. IOW, it's going to be up to our kids to find the next Obama. We've just got too much mess to clean up to think about going down that road again.
  25. I could see Rose joining the other fembots on "Outnumbered."
