THEY MIGHT HAVE DISEASES!," it's all I can do not to climb aboard the nearest clock tower with a high-powered rifle and hurt some people. ("They're not following the rules! They're coming here to hurt us!" Trust me, the damage they could do to us doesn't compare to the damage we're doing to ourselves.) I'm serious. I'm this [!@#$%^&*] close to losing it over others' insane reactions to the migrants. I think that's the story that affects me the most deeply. Here we had someone who survived perhaps the greatest atrocity committed in modern times -- someone who, no doubt, was witnessing what had been unfolding since the election and wondering if it all was happening again -- and how does he die? At the hands of a white supremacist. As one of my fellow members of the Philolexian Society would say, "there's an irony in there...somewhere." Forget the needle, I want the s.o.b. who killed these people to get the gas chamber. His delusional ass deserves nothing less. The GOP is good at selling snake oil to the masses, I'll grant 'em that!

No more preposterous than Rachel Dolezal believing she's black. It's just like the end of the episode of "The Jeffersons" called "Sorry, Wrong Meeting." When the white supremacist (played by James Karen, who passed away last week) who was trying to get the Jeffersons and other "undesirables" evicted from their building learned that it was George who had performed CPR on him and saved his life after suffering a heart attack, he told his son, "You should've let me die." What George said after hearing that remains just as true today: they ain't never gonna change.

But that's always their response to tragedies such as these, isn't it? "Hey, this could all have been avoided, if more people had more guns!" Seriously, white men would LOVE it if this country were more like a rerun of "Gunsmoke" or "The Rifleman."

The facts, I am sorry to say, speak for themselves: for eight years, we had Barack Obama making all the right arguments, and what was the response? A Congress who was openly hostile and treasonous; and a constituency filled with idiots who STILL believe he's a Kenyan-born Muslim. There are days when I believe there should never be another non-Caucasian president, or another candidate who isn't white, Christian and male. We just don't deserve to be so progressive.

Yep. I couldn't see it before, but I do now: a lot of the MSM worked their asses off to help Trump become president, because, IMO, eight years of a scandal-free (and, in their eyes, boring) Obama administration was more than they could handle. They NEEDED some good, gossipy [!@#$%^&*] to keep their audiences and readerships from deserting them. Enter Trump, the "star" and EP of a hit "reality" series, and the GOP, who were ready, willing and able to deliver the meat necessary to keep their hungry selves fed. Factor in the media's long-simmering hatred of the Clintons, a couple who's long been able to dodge whatever boulders they've lobbed at them, and you have part of the recipe for the shitstorm that is unfolding at the moment for them.
