  1. You know I agree with you completely about nu-Claire. I haven’t liked that actress for one second, mostly because she’s not Claire — she’s a different character. Even when I complain about the actress, I never feel like I’m watching Claire. And the plan is to pair her with Ben? Sorry, but that’s making a bad situation even worse. I can’t think of anyone I’d rather see Ben with LESS than nu-Claire.
  2. Agree completely. It’s an utter failure. Cyrus is a terrible character, made even worse by an actor who is woefully miscast. Just a mess.
  3. i know I can’t ignore it. He’s absolutely terrible, and the multiple accents he uses aren’t nearly the only thing wrong.
  4. Beautiful girl, but those blown up lips are too much.
  5. The 2020 music isn’t bad, but the original cue is SO much better. Completely different atmosphere to the entire scene, and I have no idea why they’d even touch it. BTW, I thought Christel Khalil was just terrific in this episode.
  6. Yeah, I agree. Y&R has done a nice job with these classics. I don’t think GH and B&B offered even one must-see episode during this entire period.
  7. That full interview with Morrow, Case, and Grimes is about 40 minutes, and definitely worth watching. Really enjoyed it. You can tell the 3 of them not only respect each other, but also really love each other. Josh described his relationship with Sharon Case as putting on his favorite hoodie. They all laughed, but Morrow explained it and it made perfect sense.
  8. This Friday classic episode was really a dud.
  9. I know the word gets around, and I know how tough the industry was on gay people. But the fact is that a Terry Lester had a good job. By all accounts, he quit that job, leaving on his own. While gay people were cheated out of roles, plenty of gay people were also hired. I didn’t post here to argue about gays in entertainment. I am gay and I know all about society and the way people deal with LGBTQ+ people. My point was that there is no evidence that Terry Lester was blackballed because of his sexuality.
  10. Terry Lester was great, but where’s the evidence that being gay cost him a career in prime time? He wasn’t out, and there were no rumors about him. Other closeted actors had careers in prime time and movies, so I’m not buying this about Lester.
  11. Honestly, I’d love to watch the entire series again — beginning in 1973. Do you agree with me that there’d be an audience for it? I’d be willing to pay for it, too. They could upload it to CBS All Access and I’ll subscribe, or I’d pay a fee to watch it somewhere else. There are a lot of years I’d love to watch again.
  12. Sorry, but I found that post to be hilarious.
  13. Today’s episode was awful. I hated it when it aired and I hate it more now. It’s Josh Griffith at his worst as Executive Producer — a short arc that is out of nowhere and meaningless to future story. MAB was headwriter, so I don’t know who to blame more. Michael Edward Gross was great on Family Ties, but he is so miscast as this ashram guru. Terrible performance. What a waste to spend money on that set. This episode did remind me just how good Emily O’Brien was as Jana, and how they screwed up her character. She’d be great to still have around. The rest of the show was really low energy. This episode should have been left in the vault.
  14. There’s gotta be some compromise between a bad CLB dye job and this gray haired and bearded mess with the scarf.
  15. As much as I miss Olivia on the canvas, i have to agree — she was SO sanctimonious SO often, and such a hypocrite, with Malcolm, with Nate, and with others. She’s inflexible and stubborn as hell, and often very moody. These classic episodes have shown us an Olivia who is REALLY hard to like.
  16. Why was Ashley SO concerned about Nikki? She was with Victor, and I really don’t understand her uber-concern over Nikki’s health, sleeping in, etc. This episode reminded me of how often Bill Bell’s writing frustrated me. All these scenes and conversations with Nikki, but no one tells her what they’re thinking? No one says “You were bombed and passed out”? Jack cried while saying he felt like hitting her, yet he couldn’t tell her what was going on when she was sober. Just ridiculous.
  17. I like EB, but those scenes did not merit an Emmy. Don’t they submit scenes from two different shows? Because those scenes with young Adam don’t do it, at least not for me. They were sweet, but that’s about it.
  18. I like Maitland, but I don’t understand an Emmy for that performance. There just wasn’t anything special there, and I’ve seen BM do better dozens of times. Michael Damian is far from a great actor, but he was A LOT better than Beth Maitland in those scenes.
  19. Didn’t realize until today that the actress who played Carmen has had a nice role on Blue Bloods for years, playing Danny Reagan’s cop partner.
  20. PB didn’t impress me at all with the constant yelling. I also thought he handled a Nikki awfully roughly — grabbing her, shaking her. Just overdone. Shemar did look amazing. Just dayum. Of course, KSJ also looked incredibly good. That Jeremy Ross actor was bad. I can see why he didn’t last. i LOL at Ryan’s phone and really wanted a closeup of him putting the phone back into his pocket. Jill looked great in the hat. Bill Bell gave Shari Shattuck a great sarcastic line with “Nice hat,” but Shattuck blew it and turned it into nothing. God, she was lousy. John slammed a Jill and a Katherine bashed her, too — and Jill just took it. So these supposedly classy people took the low road while lowlife Jill went high. Interesting.
  21. Sorry, but most people do not think Doug Davidson is gay.
  22. Agreed. So damn good looking. Major mistake writing him off. Steven Ford was also hot. Nikki’s dress is hilarious. She looks like she’s wearing a castoff from Carol Burnett’s GWTW sketch.
  23. God, I would LOVE that. Even better, put it on CBS All Access and I’ll subscribe.
  24. David Tom was good in his first run. When he returned? Not so hot. He didn’t work at all.
  25. I loved this episode, from the enormous and beautiful sets to the wardrobe to the mix of many chars and stories and even to all the extras. It all looked special, and expensive. Just top notch production and acting from start to finish. One of my favorite classic episodes thus far.
