  1. Yes, they had, but it was several months after AW ended. I wonder if GL inherited any of the sets.
  2. Thanks! This is jogging my memory. I think Lucinda’s Worldwide offices may have been a repurposed Cory Publishing.
  3. Is it safe to come back in here now? 😆 I have been rewatching episodes of ATWT from 1999, specifically to see the AW crossovers from Jake and Vicky. One thing that is sticking out is the sets that made their way to ATWT. By my count, we have Jake and Vicky’s home and Tops restaurant. And of course there were AW set pieces that were repurposed on ATWT. Katie’s cottage and possibly Jack and Carly’s house had some AW elements. Anyone remember other AW sets, either used as a Bay City setting or repurposed in Oakdale on ATWT?
  4. People are grieving. Please stop your horseshit of commenting on every post. For the love of [!@#$%^&*] god.
  5. I think Jill’s absence is Jess’s choice. In an interview Jess did with Tonja Walker on her podcast about a year ago, she mentioned aging and having issues with vision. She also discussed the process of prepping for Jill’s Zoom scenes.
  6. The misinformation aggressively takes over multiple threads at a time. Sigh.
  7. A thousand times yes! Chappell’s and Byrne’s web soaps that came out only a few months after GL’s cancellation had better production values. It was so sad what Ellen did to our grande dame.
  8. My dream guest is Susan Flannery. Budig was/is friends with her, so maybe it is in the realm of possibility. I’d love to see Kim Zimmer too. She is always a good interview.
  9. If she returned to ATWT as a producer 2003 and into early 2004, then she was not credited. She for sure returned to her regular directing spot.
  10. Yes! She barely lasted during her first GL run. She ran back to ATWT for a year and a half as director. I love that KZ stood her ground with TPTB. Great for her!
  11. Speaking of Emily, I really wish that Marie Masters could do a Locher Room. I haven’t seen anything about her in years!
  12. Great pairing that seemed to come out of the blue! Around that time, it felt like Sheffer/Goutman didn’t really know what to do with Emily or Hal. And KM and BH had surprisingly great chemistry. It was good for Emily especially because she was coming off those unsympathetic years with the Tom affair and then running the Intruder and essentially just being a busybody.
  13. I loved Kelley Menighan! She was an MVP, especially during the show’s last few years. I always looked forward to anything she did with MM, BH, CZ, MW, and the two grownup Alisons. Wasn’t a big fan of her with RH’s Paul. I always admired how she balanced being a vixen and being neurotic.
  14. This is misinformation. The AWHP was not even around for the show’s 25th anniversary. The show did consult the AWHP for Victoria Wyndham’s 25th anniversary as Rachel, which occurred nearly a decade later.
  15. Yes, the tack house is widened. It looks like they removed a wall near the kitchen. You can now see a fridge and there’s a rectangular table. I like the Abbott mansion updates minus some of the decor, namely the sofa and some of the other furniture pieces that are in pics floating around. The fireplace portrait is weird. I think the curved arch works in the Abbott house. The ceiling and walls also seem higher. To me, this elevates the class of the set and creates an illusion that it is more spacious. I think the NuOld Newman Ranch has a similar feel.
  16. I saw it and it will definitely take some getting used to, though I like some of the “structural” choices.
  17. Omg is he claiming that other people’s Emmys are his? God he sucks. I applaud those who refuse to kiss his ring.
  18. PB got a 30th in 2019. are they giving him another for 35?
  19. I hope they explain what happened to the old nuRanch built in 2013. Was the 2013 house built on a different plot of land from the one that burned down?
  20. Does anybody know if the Dennison family house was also the Brooks family house? I was watching some clips and they share similar features.
  21. Getting rid of kitchen sets (Hughes, also Munson) was rumored to be a CBS network mandate in the mid-2000s. It was about the perception of seeming old-fashioned, but also as a way to save studio space. The Snyder farm kitchen stayed because it was deemed definitive for that family and a place where multiple characters would logically come and go. But it also shrank quite a bit around the end of 2007, along with every other major set. Jack and Carly’s house had a small side kitchen, but it was supposedly hard to shoot in.
  22. Y&R should have had Shari Shattuck and Bernda Eperson come on as the Ashley personalities
  23. Y&R: Ashley and Paul Ashley and Neil Ashley and Tucker 1.0
  24. So sad. Loved Marla’s more recent run as Dina. The news makes her Emmy win all the sweeter.
  25. Loving B&B. Is it what it once was? No, but it is my daily guilty pleasure. Brad Bell works on a leaner budget than in the past and he makes every character count.
