  1. My question is: why were neither Nina and/or Olivia called about the stabbing at THEIR hotel?
  2. Yeah. That whole thing, not only pissed me off, but also felt very disgustingly off-putting and predatory. Plus, Jill remarking she was told the producers hoped she wouldn't sue. She should have sued Bravo, but then Jill also knew she'd never be involved in anything Real Housewives again, via Bravo/NBCUniversal.
  3. It was brilliantly petty, which is what New York City is. The pettiest of petty stuff, and it just creates drama itself. It's in-line with Sonja being pissed she wasn't invited to Dorinda's. LOL.
  4. Bradley Bell and company have had plenty of opportunities to really re-work and re-shift this soap into something real worthwhile, reminiscent of what William J. Bell created. When Ronn Moss left the role of Ridge, there was opportunity there to re-tool the canvas, and have Rick take Ridge's position as the leading male, and allow Eric, Brooke, Stephanie to take the backseat roles. No, instead the role was recast and we were thrust back into the same 'ol recycled bulls**t. When Jacquline MacInnes Wood came back as Steffy, there was a real chance to again, re-tool the canvas and have the younger-set really push Forrester Creations, and even Spencer Publications, and allow the veteran characters to step back and support those players. No, instead we were thrust back into the same 'ol recycled bulls**t. The closest we got was casting Courtney Hope as Sally Spectra, but even that storyline went WRONG! Instead of having Thorne return and want Brooke back for 2.5 seconds, he should have revealed himself to be working with Sally to have Spectra Fashions overtake Forrester Creations, proving himself as more than the basement/international Forrester, and truly bringing fashion back into the Bold fold. No, instead we got the same 'ol recycled bulls**t.
  5. Oh, I agree. Teschner makes great finds.. and then, other times, it is clear Frank Valentini steps in and overrides, and it troubles me. If you have a casting director, allow them to do their jobs completely. Teschner has been there 33 years, and knows what he is looking for. I know Teschner auditioned and tested Sofia Mattsson for another role; Valentini said "hold her" for another role, and cast her as Sasha. According to Teschner (April 2023), he is sent auditions, and he'll send his favourites to Valentini for final selection. So, ultimately, Teschner sent Smith to Valentini, who chose her. Teschner even revealed recasting is the toughest, which is what makes Smith's casting a true head-scratcher, and I wonder if they saw something beyond what we have right now.
  6. Did I say that, John? No. I did not. I gave Mia Kriegel a chance, and I will be giving Brooke Anne Smith a chance. However, visually, she is too old for the part. And that is simply fact. You cannot tell me, looking at this "evolution" of Molly, that she visually fits the role. She looks closer to Kelly Monaco's age than Pullos', and that is a casting hiccup. She looks like she could be Haley Pullos' mother for crying out loud. It is bad casting as its finest. 100%. I'm wondering if Mark Teschner is even allowed to do his job. Maybe there is material down-the-line that Smith will work well for, but this is simply a case of bad acting. She doesn't; those scenes with Kelly Monaco were jarring yesterday. Again, 100%. Kriegel's casting was understandable. They clearly found out about Pullos' situation very last-minute and had to grab someone to be on set, likely one to two days before scenes were to be filmed (as Kate Mansi & Kriegel definitely started on the same day), so they had to grab someone available. But, if they were actively recasting the role of Molly beyond Kriegel, then this choice makes me question things, especially with General Hospital is usually on-the-ball with castings, especially in the recast department. I completely agree; no one is shaming her or her age, but the casting of her in the role of Molly itself. She reads as an older Esme, and makes me wonder if she previously auditioned for that role, and she was turned down in favour of Avery Kristen Pohl. I forgot about Burgess Jenkins... not a horrible Billy Abbott but, not the best, either. Mhmm. And criticism over her age is merely part of why this recast is jarring. And people keeping bringing up "Well X person was cast in Y role after Z left it, and they were [insert age] so get over it," and it's like, but visually they probably worked for the role. This, visually, is a problem. Nothing to do with Smith, her personality or her as a talent. This is a casting no-no.
  7. She legitimately looks like a housewife mom of two. But you do you.
  8. Yes. NüNü Molly is 39 years of age. Mia Kriegel grew into the role, which is a positive thing, given she was definitely rush-hired. But if they were actively re-recasting behind-the-scenes, I'm questioning this choice of Esme 2.0 right now.
  9. Well, I'm 98% sure Mia Kriegel was a very last-minute recast, given the timeline I put together. Likely someone they nabbed in a day or two after they got word of Haley Pullos' car crash and *needed* someone on-set.
  10. Brooke Anne Smith as debuted in the role of Molly Lansing Davis today.
  11. They just aged Molly... again, with this new Molly. WHEW.
  12. What they could have done is do a completely new recast with someone like Jacob Young... but, I don't see Young returning to daytime for anything but a guest stint.
  13. Plus, I'm pretty sure she said she received offers before and turned them down, because the experience couldn't compare to doing All My Children.
  14. I didn't watch Another World growing up, but the first scenes I saw online were Rachel confronting Iris... and whew, Carmen Duncan SOLD that material as if her rent were past due!
  15. It's been re-used a few times whenever there is a "bar" in New York or out of state they visit. It's clear they're dedicated to using it for Ryan's Bar at this point. What about re-inventing ConFusion? Or whatever that set was?
  16. Krystal's is Delia's bar; it's been used before, just like Erica's last penthouse.
  17. Same; she threw out "I don't sleep with men" and that was that. We love to see it.
  18. WTF is going on with this soap and all of the exits?
  19. I liked the outdoor eatery... makes me jealous it's a Pine Valley-esque set.
  20. It's an Invision problem. When Giphy was sold, Invision's code/contract with them ended, therefore ending the use of Giphy. Errol and team could make a new access key if they wanted to.
