  1. I get that, too. Or she'll be immediately demoted to a "friend of" for a season or two, to see if she can gage with the other women outside of being a primary housewife. I'm going to be honest... I watched the premiere... and have missed every single episode since. Forgot it was on, honestly. Whoops.
  2. What I would do is swap Ella Lentini (Betty) and Brooke Anne Smith (Molly); it is clear they were both auditioned for Molly, and they chose Smith over Lentini; clearly, the former had something the latter didn't for further down the line, but I just... do not see it. Is it, though? I mean, The Bold and the Beautiful, from what I've read, tapes four-to-five episodes per day (or scenes for that many episodes), while the others do around half of that?
  3. The last time an American daytime soap opera was truly, genuinely somewhat original and cutting edge was TOLN's All My Children. Despite their hiccups, Prospect Park/TOLN handled the changing landscape quite well, both in terms of production (shooting, post-production) and writing styles. The Cassandra storyline would not fly on American daytime. In fact, The Young and the Restless told the same story on some level, but it absolutely missed every single mark that All My Children was able to take. TOLN took what made American daytime special, adapted it to a [still relatively new] streaming era, and they did incredible work, especially under budget and time constraints. Brilliant work. General Hospital told not one, but two serial killer storylines, and barely anyone substantial was killed in both storylines. And I have not a single doubt Disney-ABC nixed the idea of killing people during the 2pm/3pm hour, especially in a post-COVID, very P/C world. There were missed opportunities to kill off multiple other characters than the very little players they did. Days of Our Lives is on a streaming platform and its streaming-era material is airing... and nothing is cutting edge about it. NOTHING. Wow. They aired a threesome... that, honestly, was not even sexy in the slightest. Its production quality⏤while better than what NBC had for its final six years of airing⏤is still not up to what a serial drama on a major streaming platform should be looking like. Again, compare what TOLN did with All My Children (Hell, even One Life to Live) and you cannot tell me what's happening is cutting edge, original and/or worthwhile. There's also zero time management happening at any of the four remaining American daytime soaps. This is why the one-month storyline surrounding Emma Samms' return as Holly Sutton worked. They had one-month to tell the story they needed/wanted, and they did it. Sure, some beats were a bit... sped up and/or missed, but it also did not drag out one-to-two Sweeps periods beyond its expiration.
  4. It's network/sponsorship that's killing soaps. Can't do "X" storyline because network doesn't want it and/or sponsors won't continue to sponsor, due to the storyline. As well as so-called "fans" who want the "good old days" back, which will not/should not happen.
  5. Nope. This is her profile. And her acting reel is here. She's real good.
  6. I may or may not have plenty of them...
  7. Nope. But maybe once her run as Betty is over....
  8. Per Soap Opera News, she is back.
  9. He is live, on Twitch, in a Superman costume... and revealed he's in multiple compression shorts, as his mods warned him... he was... revealed without them.
  10. Not unexpected, given what Lady Gaga about his state during the recording of their last album. RIP to him.
  11. oh, ouch... that sucks for March, but he wasn't all that, any way, haha. William deVry and Kim Zimmer are the only two I like, but it would also possibly explain why Zimmer isn't on General Hospital, despite it being the soap she watches. 🤣 I love that Zimmer has never held back; I miss dames like that. Her, Jeanne Cooper, etc.
  12. That Zimmer story was 🤯 and what happened with Forbes March?
  13. Oh, I remember that storyline... and then Brenda vs. Carly went at each other in the Metro Court lobby.
  14. I would be open to a Jax recast, too, but only if the character had a solid story and purpose this time around. I could see someone like Josef Brown, Kip Gamblin or even Sandy Winton in the role of Jax. I'm honestly surprised they split Jax/Brenda when Jax returned to boink Carly.
  15. Well, with Tognoni, it is feasible now. Hell, if by chance, a recast Jax returns to town (hoping not), that could be another viable pairing.
  16. Possibly resurrect Ted King's Lorenzo Alcazar. Possibly a short-term affair with Michael Easton's Hamilton Finn (to get Elizabeth away from him). I recall Tognoni & Easton being briefly paired on One Life during the very short-time I watched, and they weren't... horrible? Skye also dated Ned back in the day (would they be considered related at this point?), possibly with Taggert? Looking at the current canvas, there's not a lot of males in that general age field, so she'd either have to be paired older/younger, or the canvas would need more of that age range around...? Another option could be Cady McClain, as one of Martin's ex-wives? It would explain her Pine Valley connection perfectly. Another Crystal Chappell, for me, is an acquired taste. Depending on the role and writing.
  17. Haha, no. Gina Tognoni. Her fights with Laura Wright during their joint time on Guiding Light were damned good. Tonally, I think she'd fit the role quite well, and gel with a lot of the Quartermaine cast, and could do well in corporate-type storylines.
  18. Well, I know who I'd want to recast Skye with... but knowing your take on the person, I won't say a word. 🤐
  19. From clips I've seen, Genzel is definitely warmer in the role than Christopher.
  20. 🤣 Burn the MC down, then, hahahah. And I have so many recast ideas for Skye, any way, haha.
  21. Well, Nina was beyond unqualified to run Crimson, and yet she does. It should've been Maxie who ran it, given how much she did under Kate.... but we won't get into that. Maybe Skye returns to take it over?
  22. Time for the Metro Court to go under a complete management change! Maybe one of Martin's ex-wives? 🤣 In the form of Cady McClain?
