Same. Have we not learned yet that family members shouldn't make posts like that? It only makes matters worse.

GH: Role Recast... Again!
- Twitter is, after 17 years, is rebranding to "X"

Per Soapcentral.com: ❝ Even though Monaco will be remaining in the fictional town of Port Charles, she will portray a newly created character by the name of Samantha. According to network insiders, the writers at General Hospital felt it would be too difficult to address the supernatural aspects of Monaco's Port Charles character on General Hospital. ❞ In other words, Robert Guza Jnr & Charles Pratt Jnr didn't want to continue what Barbara Esensten and James Harmon Brown essentially would have handed them.- What Are You Listening To?

Oh, interesting. Hmmm... don't know if the character would work now since they're intent on keeping Willow alive and stuck to Michael. Maybe with a recast it could happen (Michael), but who knows... Wasn't Christina in Paris with Serena? I vaguely remember that happening.- General Hospital: July 2023 Discussion Thread
Thank f**k I blocked most of that out, because it sounds as miserable as it was, haha. The "writer" tried. They really did. But, damn, beats were completely missed. 🫣- General Hospital: July 2023 Discussion Thread
Oh my goodness... Duke & Lucy... I forgot about that. What a lifetime ago. Just like the tested romance between Anna & Luke, or was I dreaming that? 🫣- General Hospital: July 2023 Discussion Thread
What's the story with Zoe Ward? I've tried looking up information but cannot find anything? I feel like this is intentional ever since the "writer" brought them back to Port Charles, and almost immediately broke them up.- General Hospital: July 2023 Discussion Thread
Thank f**k, 'cause I'm genuinely not a fan, either, but always seem to see her name thrown around with Maya, haha.- General Hospital: July 2023 Discussion Thread
What about returning Maya Ward with Karla Mosley in the role? Annie Ilonzeh was nice in the role, but I also don't see her returning, and Mosley appears to be popular with soap fans, so it could be a casting win. And then that could lead to the true re-introduction of the Ward family, with Keesha Ward joining along, even if for a guest stint. All of this is a WIN! A complete win, honestly. Sean Kanan's return as AJ Quartermaine is long overdue, however, I think the last experience put a major sour taste in his mouth about being on that set, which is unfortunate. But his return is needed. I know you suggested "slightly younger" for Jutus' return, but what about Peter Parros? He's one-year older than Phillips, but he'd be an amazing talent for General Hospital to secure, and I do believe his chemistry with Brook Kerr could be a major potential win! Or, if we wanted younger, Paul Taylor (ex-Isaac, As the World Turns)? Dillon is another Q that should be on the canvas, period. It made no sense for Dillon to exit the last time.- General Hospital: July 2023 Discussion Thread
He's been getting back into it. Zach Tinker would be cute, but that'd also be de-aging the role about 10-ish years. Another option is an "unknown", but I don't know how that'd work with the strike.- General Hospital: July 2023 Discussion Thread
CJ Thomason? Or Justin Cooper? Because Coop works as a producer and on-air commentator at Fox Sports Radio. Hate to say it, but short of a miracle happening with either Hogestyn, Carnes and/or Trudeau returning, if Lucas comes back, the role if being recast with someone else. Long shot, but what about Justin Torkildsen (ex-Rick, The Bold and the Beautiful)?- General Hospital: July 2023 Discussion Thread
It appears he makes exotic and leather handbags in Malibu, as well as other materials, via his website here And also seems to be working in the fashion industry presently, so unless he fancies jumping back into the acting fold.... I don't see him coming back, either. I'm holding out hope Kate Mansi's Kristina takes on the Corinthos organization, or just... dominates in something, other than looking for validation from the Davis clan. I'm interested to see if her LGBTQIA+ venture is developed more, too.- General Hospital: July 2023 Discussion Thread
I wanted Cody & Liz, even if for a fun, frisky time. Anything to get Dr. Creep away from her. And while I'd love for Tyler Christopher to return.... I'm also open to Adam Huss stepping back into the role. He worked well with his co-stars and commended the material given to him. Or even for Nick Stabile to step back into the role. Jonathan Jackson seems intent on touring with his music, so if Lucky were to return in anything beyond a limited run, they would have to invest in a recast, once again. But, even if they did recast, it would receive backlash for Jackson not being in the role, again. You would need aa Greg Vaughan-level recast to make the role work. I know, right...? It had MAGIC!- General Hospital: July 2023 Discussion Thread
Yeah. That was part of his postings, so I really don't see him returning for a third stint. Recast the role with someone willing to put the time into the role. ITA: Drew's beard needs to return. The moment the beard went bye-bye, the magic left the role, and Cameron immediately began working as Ryan "man savior" Lavery. My ideal recast⏤and I know this would be an incredible, highly unlikely reach⏤would be Bethany Joy Lenz. I feel like she & Rebecca Herbst do look alike, and it would suit them as sisters. Plus, niche casting (since Lenz replaced Rebecca Budig as Michelle on Guiding Light). And I know you wouldn't want Lucky back, but imagine it coming out Sarah and Lucky re-connected sometime during Lucky's time away from Port Charles. And, in truth, while the 50-plus portion of the canvas is filled... it's also very limited, at the same time. What about a returned Matt Hunter? Either with Jason Cook or a recast? I would say Cody, but Lenz & Josh Kelly did date IRL, so that would be a bit... uncomfortable for them. OR... what about that part-time detective that shows up with both Dante & Chase seem to be off-duty?- General Hospital: July 2023 Discussion Thread
Carnes seems focused on his music right now, and he was posting some... questionable things during COVID, so.... And Charlotte can go. She's such a non-presence that I forget about her until she's on-canvas. Who TF is watching her, any way? Wasn't she staying with Laura? So I assume Esme & Spencer are responsible for her, now? It's clear Rebecca Budig is up for it... but the story is not going to be told. It seems like they invest and immediately revoke that interest, so.... it's a damn shame, too, because there's potential there, especially when Jeff Webber was in town. If Sarah were to return, who would you cast in the role?- General Hospital: July 2023 Discussion Thread
I think they were trying to allude that baking is a "woman's job", and therefore, by doing a "woman's job", Aiden is therefore gay. I always thought the actor who played Dev was either Alec or at some point retconned to be Spencer. And I don't even think Disney-ABC knows what audience they want... but they need to figure it out. He's the one doing real estate outside of California. I follow him on Instagram and he's rarely doing acting gigs. I mentioned this on the previous page. To me, Jake being gay/bi would be the right avenue, and while I like Hudson West, I just don't think he'd play that storyline at all. I'm just baffled they are not trying to play the younger set of Aiden/Jake/Rocco more, honestly. It's a huge missed opportunity. I unfortunately don't think Ryan Carnes would return as Lucas in a semi post-COVID environment. But Lucas should be an integral part of the canvas, especially at the hospital. Re-build the staffing there, stat! As much as I want Hayden back... I'd take her coming back for two-weeks, getting Finn & Violet, and all of them leaving town.- General Hospital: July 2023 Discussion Thread
At some point, Lulu has to return to the canvas... unless they re-tell the Laura storyline with Lulu. I suspect Nik is back by the end of 2023/beginning of 2024. It's because of the Disney side of Disney-ABC. Heaven forbid we show non-heterosexuals. Remember the Aiden storyline that was dropped and now he just occasionally bakes? Mhmm... and, honestly, Dev was another bisexual/sexually fluid character that should have been. His jealous of Cam shouldn't have been because he liked Joss, but because he liked Cam and wanted him for himself. But, you know, nice things don't often exist. Matt Trudeau is living outside of California, doing real estate and acts on rare occasion. So, we'd have to recast again to bring the character back.- Bare Essence (1982-83)
Awesome. Thank you!!!- General Hospital: July 2023 Discussion Thread
I could even see her in one of those "my babysitter is a killer" films on Lifetime. I really do. I only suggested Jackson, because I really enjoyed his episodes, and feel like his connection to Anna would be a nice tie to the canvas. We need a powerhouse lawyer and he could be that. And Alec Barrett being gay would be awesome! I always suspected Aiden & Danny would be the "young" gay couple, in their high school years, with a sudden discovery of "star-crossed lovers". Or even mirror Hollyoaks would Alec being the third-wheel in their web, falling for one of them, making the other crazy with a lover's jealous. I'd also welcome a recast Lucas back to the canvas around the time of Bobbie's death/funeral, etc. and re-integrate him into the General Hospital staff, explaining he's been out of town at medical conferences, etc. There are honestly plenty of former characters I'd bring back and replace with some current players.- General Hospital: July 2023 Discussion Thread
EXACTLY! She is a beautiful woman, who despite looking young for her age, does look her age, and there is nothing with that. At all. I remember the last time we had fi-core material, and I really enjoyed it. Garin Wolf took over as head writer, and he really did shake things up. Monica was brought back into play, and I adored it. Some scenes during that time: I can only hope this round of fi-core writing isn't micro-managed by Disney-ABC as the past few writing regimes have been, and they're allowed to [hopefully] condense and shake things up a bit. But... it's doubtful. It depends on where she is placed, age-range wise. Obviously, a SORAS would happen, but would it be to the age ground of Danny & Jake, or a bit older into the Josslyn, Trina & co. camp. But, if she was around the age group of Josslyn & Trina, then here's how I would do it: A mischevious Lila Rae (Lauren Boles, ex-Ciara, Days of Our Lives; Emily Alyn Lind) would arrive in Port Charles making some major waves, and causing some major headaches for the Quartermaine family. And she's followed her boyfriend to town, who happens to be a college-dropout Cameron (if William Lipton is unavailable, return Cade McWatt to the role), much to the chargin of his own mother, Elizabeth Webber. Soon, Lila Rae's mother, Skye (Gina Tognoni) returns to town, alongside Jackson Montgomery; she is not only revealed to be one of Martin's ex-wives, but also the person working alongside Tracy (much to everyone's surprise) to uncovering the Deceptor/Deception as a company. Of course, things would have to be flushed out... but I think it'd be a fun story to tell. If we want to keep Lila Rae a bit younger, perhaps Mckenna Grace (ex-Faith, The Young and the Restless) would be another suitable recast.- General Hospital: July 2023 Discussion Thread
Wait... someone said Smith should... get work done to appear younger? How f**ked is that?! My God... how gross. And gosh... I can't even begin to imagine the chemistry with TJ.... poor thing. YES! Also... fi-core material begins airing Tuesday for General Hospital so.... brace yourselves! - Twitter is, after 17 years, is rebranding to "X"
