Vanessa served as real estate agent for her client Hayley, and, as a professional, she kept the confidence of her clients, and didn't tell anyone (not even the Duprees) that Hayley and Bill were buying a home in Fairmont Crest. Vanessa didn't tell anyone until after the deal was closed and Hayley had the keys. And then we saw the scene afterwards where Vanessa went to the club and told the Duprees who bought the house.

The focus of the story is “Dani,” and so my focus has been how to build upon what was given to make a compelling friend for her. There’s a saying I learned when studying Shakespeare: “the clown makes the king,” and I do so love being a clown. “Pamela” is also a bit of “Opal” to “Erica,” and if you know your “All My Children” you’ll know what I mean. I think this is Michele Val Jean's vision, so not really inspired by other shows. Also Sheila Ducksworth said she'd dreamed of a Black soap for decades and was finally introduced to Michele Val Jean. I've never seen Greenleaf. I did watch all of Queen Sugar and this isn't really like that, but I imagine there might be a few serious scenes at some point that explore things deeply like Queen Sugar did. BTG reminds me somewhat of the shortlived primetime soap "Promised Land" about about the Latine wealthy California winery Sandoval family, and their secrets. The major difference is that Promised Land periodically showed scenes from prior decades to enrich the story and show character progression, jumping around in time like "This Is Us". This factored in when scandals were revealed. I was disappointed when Promised Land was cancelled. The characters drew me in. ("Promised Land". Not to be confused with "The Promised Land".) It ran for one 10-episode season on ABC. I liked Ambitions but I think Robin Givens' performance wasn't layered enough -- some of that may have been due to her acting, and some may have been due to Jamey Giddens' writing. Michele Val Jean had a producer credit on Ambitions but I don't think she wrote any of it.

Per soaphub, Clyde Kusatsu returns this week as Mr. Wei Shin (DiMera executive and father of Wendy and Li). Per Jason47's stats: the character was played by: Donald Li for 3 episodes July-August 2014, Michael Hagiwara for 4 episodes August 2019, and Clyde Kusatsu for 5 episodes 2022-2023. (Back in 2003, Clyde Kusatsu played Japanese sushi chef "Nobu" who was a guest on Jack&Jennifer's TV show "In the House").

I watched OLTL early years, but missed most of 1990s OLTL, so the recent posts on this thread are interesting to read. I didn't know anything at all about Christopher Cousins' OLTL character and aliases... until reading a little bit last year. Christopher Cousins debuted on Y&R in 2024... as Ashley Abbott's platonic friend from Paris -- the retired psychologist "Alan Laurent"... and his evil twin "Martin Laurent". (Alan eventually became Traci Abbott's boyfriend and I think he still recurs as such). When the Alan/Martin characters debuted on Y&R, I read up on Christopher Cousins' character and aliases on OLTL. wow. crazy. I had to read the archive.org of soapcentral's OLTL site to find bios of Cousins' character and the Llanview characters he interacted with. And other wikis. It took a while to sort it all out. Especially since he seems to have returned a few times under various aliases. It's hard to understand the convoluted mess from reading summaries and wikis. After reading all that, I see why Cousins was cast on OLTL. At first I thought Alan Laurent was scamming Ashley and wasn't who he appeared to be. Well he was but then it was revealed that some of it was his evil twin Martin. Seems like Josh Griffith threw it together somewhat haphazardly for Y&R. re: OLTL: It annoyed me to read that Tina was hoodwinked (catfished? scammed?) by this guy. The Tina Lord I remember was vulnerable at times, but she was also smart, I think? I don't know. I was going to ask here, but then, maybe the character is not worth me investing time/energy/reading about.

Within Canada, some cable and satellite services have "CHCH" channel, and you can watch BTG on broadcast TV there and record on your recorder. Outside Canada (and inside Canada) You can watch the episodes on the live feed from Canada at chch.com. I found it here: https://www.chch.com/live/ click on the "WATCH LIVE" button on the website at the time of broadcast. It works from outside Canada and you don't need VPN. That's at 2pm New York STANDARD Time through March 7th. That's at 2pm New York DAYLIGHT Time starting week of March 10th. Note that Canada/USA go to Daylight Saving Time March 9, but Europe goes to Daylight/Summer time March 30, so time difference would be off by one hour for a few weeks. If that's confusing, go to a reliable timezone converter to check the time differences during the weeks in March. NOTE, during week of 24 February, sometimes it took a long while for the live feed to start working on the website, so I suggest setting the live page up 30 minutes early. Click on the page, and give it time to load, so that it's actively giving the live feed by the time BTG starts. I don't know how to record the live website feed. I don't know where to legally find the shows recorded outside the USA, unless you have a VPN. You might be able to watch any recent episodes you missed by going to cbs.com with a VPN, but cbs.com usually has *only the most recent 5 episodes* of any of their shows.

Or maybe it's supposed to reference retired Senator Dupree covering up something related to Congressman Richardson? At first I wondered if Ted's father was also a senator, but that would have meant that Ted and Nicole would have first met via political circles as children. But that can't be the case, since we watched Andre videoing Ted and Nicole saying that they first met at the medical conference on Maui.

Portia tells Curtis that four doctors are at a symposium in Miami right now, and she’s so jealous of them. Curtis replies no need to be jealous much longer because he and Portia are going to the white sand beaches of St. George's. She says Really? And he says yes. Portia says she knew he was planning to scout out locations for Aurora's new resort, but she didn't think he’d landed on anything yet. He replies that he hadn't, but as CEO he needs to check out the white sands himself, and to do that, he’ll need some help (meaning her.) Portia is happy, but then Drew arrives.
