Awwwwww Gio 😊😊😊🥰 Just like with Days, there were a lot of sweet dorky family moments today and it was all really nice to see.

Less character propping and less insanely fast-paced plot driven writing, for sure. And drama. Lots and lots of drama. Because there are quite a few couples and characters across all the soaps that I watch that are just boring and desperately need some.

Luckily, the two clowns that were responsible for that crime against the Soap Universe are no longer at Days 😂

This sounds really good! Looking forward to Tony and Anna's reunion. And to see if Kate teaming up with Xander really means that they're gonna try to oust Maggie. And despite the Javi and Leo of it all, I'm hearing that something's going to make it all worth it next week 😉

One of my favorite episodes of the year! Episodes like today are what make Days what it is. And I’ll always love those sweet, dorky family moments that Days is always so good at showing us lol It may have been a little late, but I understand why Julie and everybody chose to wait to hang the ornaments this year. It makes sense in terms of the storyline. And we got an update about Bo and Hope too. But speaking of the storyline, Chad’s reunion with his kids was really nice. I’m interested in seeing what happens next now that he’s back and because everybody was a little vague as to whether or not the custody suit is going to be dropped. I hope it isn’t though. And welcome back, Lucas! I’m glad that he was a part of today and got to hang his ornament on the tree. It’s too bad that Arianna wasn’t included though. I would’ve liked to have seen Marissa Reyes hang Ari’s ornament and also for Ari to have a scene with her grandfather. I’m also glad that Chad and JJ got caught up and discussed everything that had happened between JJ and Theo once he found out that JJ became a cop again. I almost thought that storyline had been dropped and I’m happy that it wasn’t. Hopefully, it continues once Theo recovers. There’s a lot of meat left in that storyline. I enjoyed Maggie, Sarah and Xander as well, even though Bonnie’s romance novel was unnecessary and Maggie did act a little douchy to Xander in the beginning. But his gift to her was really sweet and I was happy that it made her come around in the end. Xander, being the one who’s responsible for a new portrait of Victor hanging at the Kiriakis house just feels right. But I’m really interested in seeing what happens once he finds out that Brady and Sarah kissed. There’s still been a little too much Dimera for me lol especially lately but I like seeing how a different writing team has been handling them. As for the Dimera family as a whole, I think Chad, Theo and Johnny’s storylines are the ones that should be featured the most, as opposed to EJ and the lab.

Merry Christmas y’all!🎄🎁 There were a lot of good scenes today, mostly a lot of reunions and dorky family moments that were acted pretty well, especially Abe/Theo and Brady/Kristen. It felt like there was a lot of heart in today’s episode. Kristen and Rachel’s reunion was really nice too. And luckily, there wasn’t any plotting and scheming between them either. They felt like an actual normal mother and daughter. Btw, was Peter always older than Kristen? But I am glad that Johnny still isn’t ready to forgive EJ. Between that and Johnny staying on at Dimera, that sets up a huge opportunity for storyline for all of these characters, especially since he and Chanel got such good news at the end. And while I like that Marlena was able to talk to Brady about how this is their first Christmas without John, I do wish that those scenes had gone on longer. And that Belle had somehow been a part of it as well. Chad/Cat/EJ didn’t do much for me though. And I wasn’t too sure about EJ reading the Christmas story either. That happens a lot 😂😂😂😂

Finally, the Dimera captives are free! Even though I did enjoy some of the scenes in the crypt, I’m glad that this is over. Hopefully, this leads to having some effect on every character that was involved, otherwise what would have been the point of it all? And just in time for a classic Days miracle because Julie, and Thomas and Charlotte too, really need one Btw, welcome back, Eli and Lani! I like how they were there to comfort Julie. There were a lot of sweet, dorky family moments between them today, especially when they started hanging ornaments on the tree. I do have mixed feelings about Rafe showing his hate boner again though. On the one hand, I understand it, but on the other hand… I think it’s just the Rafe of it all that annoys me sometimes 😂😂 Btw, I don’t, for a second, think that Stefan’s actually dead.

Not a big fan of Portia, but the reveal on the stand in front of Curtis and Trina was classic soap and I loved it. I'm so looking forward to seeing what happens next for all of them.

I'll give it a chance lol The only other role I've ever seen him in was Dario on Days, and the writing was pretty poor at the time.

It definitely would’ve been a better story for the younger crowd. Despite the acting, Doug III was almost the type of complex character that you don’t really see on soaps anymore; the bad boy with the heart of gold, often giving in to his impulses or not being able to control them, which in turn, drives conflict for all the characters around him. I liked what he did get to see but the storyline could have played out for so much longer or led into something really good. It’s too bad the new team didn’t like him all that much. It’s definitely better, even though the new team has made some strange choices, or the flat out wrong choice, like writing out the character of Doug III, for example. Or giving some characters backstories that ultimately lead to nothing. And there are some things that are still very Ron-like, but I think that’s mostly due to Jamey Giddens, who’s literally just Ron at his absolute worst times 10. But there’s a lot more heart in the show now. It feels more like Days again, not some cruel, toxic, reality show ripoff.
