  1. Ha! I never did see his odd appearance in the mid-2000s as himself as a musical guest, where they made a lot of in-jokes about him having been on the show before? I still wonder about that. tbh Jesse has visibly aged enough that he could pick up the role again today lol.
  2. I remember Ridings being terrible and miscast. He was better a few years later as Dorian's recurring henpecked aide in the final years of OLTL. Alberti was a nice body and not much else. They did the right thing dumping both. But I always thought it was a mistake not securing Jesse McCartney a while longer until they had to age J.R. up.
  3. Joni and Reggie could've gone far. It's for the best for both actors' careers they didn't though. I didn't know about Seyfried's other new movie but The Testament of Ann Lee looks wild.
  4. I am amazed Seyfried remembers Megan too lol. I shouldn't be surprised though, she has never forgotten how she was treated at ATWT. I haven't seen her new film but I look forward to see it. She was stunning as Elizabeth Holmes in The Dropout.
  5. I think Julie Pinson is a fine actress but this was in the era where it seemed like she was popping up everywhere just because (even though I think she'd only done two shows by then lol). Her being Billie was equally extraneous. She was a great lookalike for Lisa, and I never liked or accepted the Krista Allen Billie in any way and JP's version was superficially much closer to the original. But it still wasn't the same. I just didn't see a reason for Billie to be around at that point with another recast, and they never gave Pinson's Billie much of anything worthwhile, she seemed to just mope and whine. But nothing has ever compared to Lisa's original run anyway.
  6. I am pretty sure that is exactly what is going to happen, yet I'm still bored because Nathan is that blank a character.
  7. Nor I. I do think she's excellent and would be happy to have her back for extended stints as a villain, but the role they were putting Esme in during her amnesia year (clearly hoping to 'redeem' her) was intolerable to me given the already very shabby treatment re: Spencer and Trina. That's not Pohl's fault though. I also thought it was a mistake to make her the daughter of both Ryan and Heather. That's too much, a hat on a hat (and the backstory for how they met - some mountain cabin while everyone thought he was dead or something? - is silly). OTOH it beats their alleged original plan, which was for Ryan to somehow have stolen Felicia's eggs or something. Disgusting shades of the already sick Charlotte conception.
  8. Thanks. Such a wacky crossover of worlds.
  9. I think that was the whole point, really. JFP lowballed him because she wanted to cut him period (along with Laura Bonarrigo and Stephen Markle soon enough).
  10. No, I agree. It's what they would have done had the writers not been fired, Chavez not left and things not been overall interrupted.
  11. Incidentally, I like how they have Rip Van Nathan in the room going over this Drew case when he barely knows who these people are and has been in a mystery coma for almost a decade. Does Nathan even know who the president is? I mean, not that it's changed.
  12. Nuzzi is already out at Vanity Fair. I'm sure her next stop will be the equally-doomed Bari Weiss CBS.
  13. She makes a good villain I wouldn't mind seeing back sometime, but I think fortunately the window for trying to redeem her or put her with Spencer as an alternative to the dreaded Trina has long since past. I just rolled my eyes at CVE jumping at the chance.
  14. She's a ghost/hallucination, but still! I knew they wouldn't be able to resist sooner or later.
  15. I have been telling you those two will be fúcking or close to it a year from now. God help us all.
  16. Of course this team done brought both Cyrus and Esme back for this. I see your game, Chris Van Etten! I was right about Valentin and Carly too. Watch.
  17. Erika did absolutely adore Mark Derwin and the romance with Ben under JFP, and they had a considerable fanbase. I was not among them after the first couple months but I understood why some liked it. With better writing and probably another actor (though Derwin is a lovely man IRL) it could've worked for me. I remember stories (possibly apocryphal but who knows) about both Erika and Patricia Mauceri being less than keen on being paired with Clint in the mid-late '90s - IIRC Malone moved Clint to Carlotta in '95. I thought the Clint/Carlotta material was decent and I really adored what Labine did with Viki and Clint finally confronting each other about the blow-up of their marriage in '97. I don't know if Erika actually put her weight against a reunion. I couldn't fault her for it if so, but I do think they still had wonderful chemistry. And I was not some big Viki and Clint fan growing up, coming in as I did only once was already with Sloan; I only grew to appreciate Viki and Clint together much later. It's too bad about Ritchie's demons and illness, and bad behavior, all of which he bears a lot of responsibility for. He was still so good. I do think Pam Long may have intended the Clint and Lindsay marriage to run longer before she (per JDP) was 'run off' by Phelps - it was a good idea on paper and there was a triangle element onscreen with Viki, IIRC. I adored Viki and Charlie, but I was also just fine with her and JVD's Clint. A very different kind of Clint in many ways but Jerry was razor sharp opposite Erika. I know not everyone agrees lol.
  18. I think what happened with Ritchie was a drunken accident, but it was still unacceptable. And then there's James DePaiva, who threw a chair in Gottlieb's office during a tantrum. There was a lot of that going around at ABC back then (Tony Geary too).
  19. There you have it. A lot of it was already on the board in old posts and I went back to those, I didn't feel like screenshotting from my Kindle or wherever lol.
  20. I just need one more scene of all those bitches getting together at Deception to whine about Lucy giving them a job. I'll lose it. I'm all for Serena coming back just to put them in their place and help her mother steal it all back.
  21. I don't think it has anything to do with that today. Frank was not remotely involved with GH at the time. He and Ron Carlivati also brought her back to the show with great fanfare initially. I think they see Lynn and Lucy as utility players, and there's some truth to that. But Lucy the scrabbling real estate agent while also being a major cosmetics tycoon? Lucy constantly being the butt of jokes for BLQ, etc. at her own company, or the dupe for every baddie who comes to town? That's not necessary, and it's lazy that they keep putting her in those roles. They do it because they know she can sell anything. But she deserves much better.
  22. Clint didn't deliberately throw a chair at Erika, but he had been drunk, it was an accident and his fault. I won't quote the whole passage from Llanview in the Afternoon, but this is some of the other stuff from her following that extended anecdote:
