  1. LOL, I knew it.
  2. One of the greats. And since it's trending with Ward, I highly recommend this (which also features daytime's own Julianne Moore):
  3. Oh, they've had both Kristens on the main show in the last year. And it's equally stupid.
  4. I hate DAYS constantly swapping actors for Jen and Abby. Just make a call (and don't decapitate them).
  5. How the fúck could Felicia have had Ryan's child? IIRC the window of time from when she left (married to Frisco) to when she came back single in '92 was not that long.
  6. This is on brand for Ron either way - breaking the toys, or refusing to accept feedback to change. If he intends to still keep Gwen (which IMO is a big if - he may be winding up to axe her) then it's on par with his original plan for Howarth's Franco on GH. RC had wanted Franco to admit to Carly he'd had her son Michael raped on purpose, but Franco was never going to leave the show at that time and was instead being moved into a frontburner new romance with Michelle Stafford's Nina. Which means he'd intended to do that but keep Franco played as a romantic lead despite, like Gwen, doing something irredeemable. I'd be amazed if he kept her at this point, but I'm amazed he has stubbornly refused to ever undo Ben being a serial killer as well.

  8. Are they really expecting the audience to go with it on Gwen after she told people what, last week? that she intentionally killed Laura Horton?
  9. Between the open public feuding with the original show's cast and then later with each other (with one of the leads quitting in acrimony at the exact point in the original series that Shannen Doherty was fired and recently making it clear she was miserable), and what I've heard about the bizarre twists and turns with retooling the show over and over, this thing never seemed very good.
  10. CW also appears to have ordered both a Supernatural and a Walker prequel, plus yet another DC show, this one about Batman's various sidekicks (Gotham Knights).
  11. I get that. I think it varies by the day, tbqh.
  12. What do they even have left airing at this point? The Flash and the Superman show? Oh, I forgot Riverdale and that Walker reboot. And some Supernatural spinoff?
  13. Hot? take: The only reason Ron is writing anything for Black folks on this show is because one of them is Jackee.
  14. The hedging re: Trina comes from the show, which IMO views any and all 'ethnics' as sidekicks for the ordained young white leads like Joss. Even Cam is secondary to her despite being a superior actor. It baffles me that people think this is some big change with the recast, when TA's an exceptional actress. The show has always treated Trina as Joss's sidekick, even while wrestling with embracing giving her an equally big and frankly more popular story, under two different actresses.
  15. He looks like Colonel Sanders even more than MEK on GH (who looks pretty amazing nonetheless). And yes, Walters looks great.
  16. I said it before I left!

  18. Brown and Esensten did an all-time great arc with the Loving Murders which was (IMO, I know others disagree) uniquely rooted in that show's strange, sad family history and gothic sensibility (dating back to its dark pilot episode murder mystery with Lloyd Bridges and a chilling Geraldine Page) and situated as well at a moment where a handful of key young and/or Black characters could take off on ABC. Watching it all again for the first time since childhood during the housebound horrors of 2020 was one of the highlights of my soap viewer experience. They spent the rest of their career chasing that high, and never really could replicate it. Not on The City (though my ex adored The Masquerade), not at PC where they went hogwild with horror, and definitely not on Paul Rauch's GL. But I do credit them for being key to re-populating AMC with a ton of Black characters, including past LOV/TC leads Debbi Morgan and Darnell Williams again, in the late 2000s, even if only a couple lasted beyond their merely so-so writing regime.
  19. Who still has the rights to this? WB/Paramount? It's really unbelievable that given the pedigree, the Desperate Housewives-style setup and the eternal '80s craze atop almost 20 seasons of content that no one has put this up for streaming on Paramount Plus or HBO Max (or Hulu, but I guess Hulu wouldn't be the place given the Disney merger). It's great already.
  20. She really does suck. The new supporting cast and Jenna Ortega are much better.
  21. I watched all of their Dallas episodes. Now I'm onto the pilot! Michele Lee and Don Murray (who I mostly know as a much older man in Season 3 of Twin Peaks, where he shined) make a hell of an entrance.
  22. I am firmly convinced Griffith would walk before axing anyone frontburner 10 years ago.
