  1. Cyrus is so lame. His radio show bit as the Voice of the Night is insane. You could really cull over half this cast.
  2. I won't shed a tear over anything that gets this rando off the show as soon as possible.
  3. Very sad but not surprising.
  4. It really isn't hard to go on Amazon.com yourself. Look up the show yourself. And then find out if it's the same TV show firsthand, as opposed to always going off second and third-hand sources from a vague Google search, and then always demanding everyone else prove to you that your poor research is wrong. I did it in less than the time it took to write this post.
  5. That Amazon statement seems carefully couched. I wouldn't assume there's nothing to the rumor.
  6. Except when they don't. The troll you're thinking of was J*nnysbro and his various alt accounts (some of which may still be active). We were told to just ignore them too, but that ultimately became impossible and finally action was forced. Ignore is a useful tool I employ often but it can't be the only tool available to a community in certain situations, and things have changed over the last 15 years since the wild west days of SoapZone or Mediadomain. Especially when stuff actively discourages posters from a small but very loyal posting base to stick around. I still believe in a community maintaining itself mostly holistically, but it has to be a two way street. If more oversight means people like me take more lumps too I have no problem with that.
  7. It still annoys me that her last name is apparently spelled 'Rosco' but yes, agreed.
  8. That someone was me, at least once upon a time! I love Diva, what a tragedy.
  9. She has one speed! She was hired as an under-5 dayplayer and it shows.
  10. Malone came back with Griffith simultaneously. The 'consultant' thing was basically just a courtesy, Malone was a co-HW within weeks. There was never any indication of Griffith having a breakdown at that time.
  11. Welcome to my world. The only way to handle this is to report it enough times or address it publicly so that the admin is inclined to do something permanent about it. I regret not reporting stuff more often over the years tbh. But whatever.
  12. Kelly Lee, whose entire character arc was 'horny nymphomaniac'. I do miss that whole crew of doctors, etc. who would go chill at Jake's though. Robin, Patrick, Kelly, Lainey who was a token character of color in various demeaning C-plots, Epiphany, Liz I think, etc. I think Korf left OLTL (and soaps) to go back to the NY theater, specifically a big David Henry Hwang show that did not go well; I believe Ellen Bethea did the same for awhile. Now Bethea is a poet in Vermont.
  13. She has barely aged since 1993, judging by her pix at the OLTL reunion a few years ago. Since it'll never, ever happen but I like to keep a few cards close to the vest I'll simply say that my pet OLTL 3.0 idea was to give Korf a strong supporting role in Blair's corner as a fun character who shared a past and at times an identity with Kassie's Blair (so as to nod to the obvious issue with the two actors), and using her would in turn help to bring on a new AA family. Looking at the eps available online now it is insane how strong MK's role on the show was in 1992, how unprecedented it was for an Asian lead, and how nuts it is that (to my recollection, anyway) there has not been anywhere near as prominent an Asian lead on any American soap opera since. Shameful. As for GH: Yes, they could recast Selina with Mia Korf and I wouldn't flinch lol. But yes, I am also only tuning in on the regular atm in search of signs of ghostwriting from the new writers. It has been an ordeal.
  14. Always a thrill when Soap Opera Network can grow its posting community at virtually any cost.
  15. It might be unprecedented tbh, at least in the modern era. At least an en masse creative situation like this might be shaping up to be.
  16. It will be a sight to see whatever happens, lol. It could all go very wrong like Michael Malone's utterly insane (but never boring!) second run at OLTL - he was the legend of my childhood and I was this thrilled and more when his return was announced over 20 years ago, and then it uh, took a turn. This could be great, it could be a mess but no matter what it will be instructive and educational for us all. It's definitely the first moment I've had real hope for GH in almost a decade though. What a time.
  17. idk about that. Korte, Mulcahey and MVJ all go way back there IIRC. But yes, I do think Val Jean is likely back and man is it thrilling to be right about an idle thought a few weeks ago.
  18. There is no chance NBC, Sony or Corday is letting these dudes go dick out, nor would most of them be willing to lol.
  19. Don't get me started. She still looks great. I've long had a pet idea for what to do about that, but OLTL is sadly long gone.
  20. On this you are correct. I've said before that Selina Wu has one expression and one tone of voice. She is a dayplayer fans glommed onto and as far as I've seen has no real range. I am all for the return of the Asian Quarter, more AAPI characters and an Asian mob queen - I just have never seen Selina as having much dynamism whatsoever. She slinks into every scene and always acts and sounds the same to me. But I'm in the minority.
  21. I agree. The Beltway has always been trying to make the last few years about something they want it to be vs. what it is.
  22. Little Ed/Ed Jr. was on a few seasons back played by Noel Fisher from Shameless. I had thought Lonnie appeared early on too but I may be wrong about that. I intend to finally catch up on the show; I know its progression has not been for everyone but I'm glad it's had a strong, long run.
  23. That's been my suspicion for some time, especially since GH garnered a few writers of color in recent years.
  24. Ugh. If (as it sounds) it's just folding FreeVee content like Neighbours into their new ad-supported plan then it's not a major difference, but still. I think these FAST options are important.
  25. I just recalled us discussing this possibility, but you're welcome to go write another 10 years of Brooke, Ridge and the local pool boy! I hear it's good money.
