  1. I watched a 1992 episode on YT and was like, "Who are all these people"? SB had definitely lost what had made it unique in the first place.
  2. Awwww!! What a great photo. Thanks for sharing.
  3. Yikes! Does anyone know what she is up to these days? I know she originated OLTL's Jenny Wolek, but it's hard to picture anyone else in the part but Brynn Thayer - which belongs on the best soap recast list.
  4. Thanks for posting that - but it just didn't seem like the same show by the end. Not just because so many familiar faces (most notably, Walker and Martinez) had already jumped ship but because the focus had shifted significantly away from the Capwells and Lockridge families. It sure would have been nice had some of the beloved familiar faces come back for the end.
  5. Question: Who was your favorite of Jody's boyfriends - Kelly, Gavin or Preacher? I understand Lori Loughlin and Mark Arnold were an item in real life for awhile as well.
  6. I sure wish more of this show (and very early AW) was on YT. I'd love to see more of Carol Roux as Missy, especially after reading the article posted a few pages back on this thread.
  7. Awww, what a sweet photo. They both look great. Any chance of him appearing on Castle, maybe as a man from Susan Sullivan's character Martha Rodgers' past?
  8. Today, Nancy Stafford still acts, but most of her time is devoted to writing and women's ministries (her husband is a pastor).
  9. They were engaged in 1999 when they left Salem (and the show) on a white horse, but never made it to the altar.
  10. I think there are still a few clips of the Adrienne/Felicia story on YT from late 1982. In any case, Nancy Stafford doesn't look much different now than she did then. I think she really HAS found the fountain of youth!!!
  11. I've always thought of her as a very attractive woman - even more so when you consider that she has given birth to five children!! Many happy returns to Maura West on her special day.
  12. John Travolta appeared on EON? When?
  13. Point taken. Thanks for your insights, Vee!!!
  14. Valorie Armstrong, an original cast member of SB (Marisa Perkins, 1984-85), is now part of a non-profit theatre group called Dezart Performs, based in Palm Springs, CA. Here is the photo section of their FB page, where you can see quite a few pictures of Ms. Armstrong as she looks today: https://www.facebook.com/dezartperforms/photos_stream P.S. Other famous faces associated with Dezart include Gavin MacLeod and Joyce Bulifant, who of course played Murray and Marie Slaughter on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, before he went on to even greater fame on The Love Boat.
  15. Jerry Lacy was on this show, too? Gee, which NYC based soap WASN'T he on at some point?
  16. Felicia (the mother) was posing as her daughter, Adrienne, who were both in love with the same man. Both roles, of course, were played by Nancy Stafford. They finally come "face to face" towards the end of the show as the "anti-aging serum" wears off. So there's Nancy Stafford in old age makeup in split screen opposite her normal looking self.
  17. This is from the end of 2012, but I just found it. Here is Valorie Armstrong (Marisa Perkins, 1984-85) in a play called Mourning Glory: http://www.berkshirefinearts.com/12-16-2012_dezart-performs-play-reading-series.htm
  18. Melba Moore did indeed have a short-lived sitcom on CBS in 1986, which was doomed right from word go. Melba debuted on January 28, 1986 - the same day as the Challenger disaster. CBS then immediately yanked the sitcom from its primetime lineup and burned off the five remaining episodes that summer. Yeouch. At least she had an illustrious stage and recording career to fall back on.
  19. What a bizarre story, but from what I've heard and read, bizarre stories on LOL at this time (toward its end) were becoming the norm. Thanks to both of you for the info!!
  20. I know Leah Ayres was on this show before she was on EON, but what was her arc on LOL?
  21. What did you all think about the show's last major story starring Nancy Stafford in the unique dual role as mother and daughter? Quite a far cry from her character on Matlock later on. LOL
  22. I have to say I liked Michael Gregory's take on Rick Webber a lot better than Chris Robinson's (from what little is available online), but I'm not sure how popular an opinion that is.
  23. OK, thanks. From what I've heard, pretty much all of 1996 and most of 1997 was a big disaster for ATWT. It seems things didn't get better until the introduction of Jack, the returns of Carly and Andy, etc. What are your thoughts?
