  1. Sharon Gabet has admitted that her character of Brittany was a mess all across the board. In her podcast interview on Brandon's Buzz last month, she said that the character was written into a whiny, sniveling mess in order to gain sympathy from the audience. At the time she was finally written off in early 1987, she was far along into her second pregnancy and took a few months off before joining OLTL.
  2. I just hope they keep posting more of these!!!
  3. Thanks for posting that episode. Tamara Tunie still looks exactly the same today!!
  4. Thanks - I wonder if any full episodes of the show in either incarnation exist somewhere.
  5. Whatever happened to Karen Witter, anyway? Wasn't OLTL her only soap?
  6. Most of the episodes are on TV One's website.
  7. Thanks for posting that. Mary and Mason really did have a special magic together. To this day, I still have no idea why the Dobsons let Harley Kozak (and others, like Dane Witherspoon) go.
  8. Thanks for posting those episodes. I love how 80s they are. LOL
  9. Thanks for posting that!! I knew that someone was posting OLTL audio from that time period, but not AMC.
  10. Yes, they really did look like brothers!
  11. DD has held up pretty well over the years, too. How long were he and Eileen Davidson a RL item?
  12. Wednesday's (8/27) episode profiles Troop.
  13. Speaking of Steve Holden, do you all think he should have stayed on rather than being killed off? Do you think he was a viable enough character to stay on and was he played by a decent actor?
  14. Let's just hope Lindsay's Hallmark character isn't anything like Theresa!!!
  15. This will give you a sense of Frankie's history: http://www.igs.net/~awhp/frankie.html
  16. OK, thanks. Also, the scene with Kathleen Turner was awesome - not hard to see why she became a movie star!!
  17. Plus, they could have done a story with The Banner being in trouble like the rest of the newspapers in real life - and doing what they had to do to stay afloat. I'd take a story like that any day over DID.
  18. A writer and an actress who have an affair and then co-create a soap? That sounds like a soap in and of itself!!
  19. It got worse? How is that possible? LOL
  20. It would be fun to see Leanna Love pop up again - easily the most entertaining soap character in Barbara Crampton's resume.
  21. That is indeed a lovely tribute. Thank you for posting it.
  22. That whole Clint/Lindsay thing just seemed to come out of left field. Besides, didn't Clint Ritchie quit the show right around that same time? Why exactly DID he leave after almost 20 years on OLTL? That I don't know.
  23. See, this is what made the soaps of yore, especially the ones based in NYC, so great. They actually hired trained ACTORS and not mere MODELS. What a concept!!!
  24. That music was hilarious. If you know anyone in need of a good laugh, forward them those links. LOL!!!
