Yes, I've heard that the efficacy is between 65 - 70%. Thank you. We heard from him earlier today. He got the test and will get the results in 24-48 hours. Other than fatigue and the lack of taste, he says he feels OK.

That would be awesome. I know it likely won't happen, but we can dream!!

Exactly. To deviate from politics for a second, I really hope Ken Jennings isn't named permanent host of J! He is way too smug and smarmy for my taste. Back to your regularly scheduled political discussion...

I'm looking forward to seeing all of those stories (except Matt/MJ...just thinking about that gives me the willies!). I don't know why they got rid of Jason. Maybe Glenn Corbett only signed on for a limited time? As for Missy, I believe Dorian Lopinto chose to leave after her two-year contract was up. She did some guest spots in LA before returning to NYC to play Sam on OLTL. Still, it was a loss for TD as she was one of its most engaging actresses. The chemistry with Frank Telfer was there from their first scene. I'm actually surprised that she didn't become a bigger name in primetime/film.

If McConnell is successful in quashing the 2K checks, the Dems' chances in Georgia go up significantly.

My mom just got a text from my brother today. He's not feeling well and he lost his sense of taste. He can't get a test until tomorrow. I will keep you posted. 🙏

So am I. Plus, they kept their core vets - Matt, Maggie, Steve and Carolee (as well as Althea once Liz Hubbard rejoined the show in February 1981) - pretty much front and center right to the end. You'd never see that now.

Yes! I think Lauren White's MJ would have worked well with Colin. The story was already moving in the direction of pairing the two characters off, but LW left the show just before it happened. LW brought both a warmth and strength to the character that just wasn't there with the recasts. Carla Dragoni and Kathy Glass tried, but they just weren't MJ. Then again, LW is that rare breed of soap actress who had chemistry with practically everyone she worked with on TD - friends, family, love interests, hospital colleagues. To continue with this analogy, KG had chemistry with two Mikes - John Shearin and James Storm - but not much with PE. It just goes to show that one never knows about actors and chemistry.

I totally bought Kathryn Harrold's Nola with Glenn Corbett's Jason. The chemistry didn't seem to be there with GC and Kathleen Turner. Oddly enough, I think there was a lot of chemistry between KT and Philip English as Colin.

According to Gerry Waggett's AW trivia book, Robert Kelly added his mother's maiden name of Kelker for his stage moniker. Not only because there was already another Robert Kelly in the actors' union, but because his father had left him and his mother. That was his way of distancing himself emotionally from his father.
