In news closer to home, the vicar (pastor in training - and whose wife also happens to be pregnant) at my church has come down with symptoms that sound suspiciously like covid. My dad is an elder but hasn't gone to the meetings lately because he is disgusted at the pastors' attitude towards masks and distancing. They don't follow the Ohio state safety protocols. I'm one of only a very few who wears a mask the entire time. Most of the congregation takes their masks off when they come in!! The pastors and vicar even serve Communion wine and wafers maskless. They hold the receptacles out - and happen to be breathing on them! I am stunned at how these otherwise intelligent, educated and kind people can be so irresponsible. I'll keep reporting on the situation as time goes on. @marceline and @dragonflies, have you heard anything from Governor DeWine about churches (I am usually at work when his press conferences air)?

Ali Velshi just announced on MSNBC that the US smashed another one day record of 144K+ cases. In related news, here in Ohio my mother plans to phone my brother in Columbus and tell him not to drive up for Thanksgiving. What are the odds that we'll have another lockdown by Christmas? I hate to be a pessimist, but I think it's inevitable.

I feel the same way you do. These are highly educated people trained to do federal jobs for the COUNTRY, not the evil orange monster. I can understand why his kids would be cowed by him and afraid to stand up to him, but really. Ben Carson - a MEDICAL DOCTOR who should certainly know better - is one of the most recent batch of people connected to the White House to test positive for Coronavirus. WHY are they all so willing to fall on their swords for him? He's not worth it!!!!

Also, @Juliajms, I am sorry for your loss. I know all too well how that kind of loss feels. I'm disappointed that my family voted for Trump - knowing who and what he is (and isn't). I never even told them I voted for Biden. I just told them that I was not voting for Trump. Besides the fact that his personality is a major turnoff, he looked the other way during this pandemic and he separated migrant families and would not denounce racism - a major part of why I dislike him so much is the way he treats women. When I started therapy after being sexually abused (Trump was already in office by then), I vowed never to waste my vote on a man who would do and say the things to women that he does. So, I see Joe Biden's triumph a win for women as well. ☺

That's one of the reasons my own mother doesn't like her. Of course, it's a double standard - people didn't react much with the many sexual escapades of the MEN in elected office throughout history. The other reason my mom doesn't like Kamala Harris is because she sees her as a flaming liberal, like AOC and others and thinks the country will fall into socialism. I don't want the country to fall into socialism, either, but I also don't want it to become an autocracy.

Lou Dobbs, Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, etc., all belong in a padded cell with Trump. That may be the only way they'll ever leave us alone!! P.S. Thanks for sharing the clips with Don Lemon. God bless him!!

Another thing is that no one ever seems to mention Ray MacDonnell. He was the only original cast member besides Susan Lucci to stay for the duration (not counting the time the show was produced in LA).
