  1. I totally bought Kathryn Harrold's Nola with Glenn Corbett's Jason. The chemistry didn't seem to be there with GC and Kathleen Turner. Oddly enough, I think there was a lot of chemistry between KT and Philip English as Colin.
  2. Was it Claire Labine's choice to leave?
  3. Does anyone know exactly how Robin Mattson came to get the Delia role? She was in between stints as GH's Heather and SB's Gina - two of her best characters/portrayals. There's not much of her on RH available on YouTube, but she just wasn't Delia. Didn't she only last 6 months on RH?
  4. Poor Ilene. From what relatively little there is of 1983 RH up on YouTube, Ilene didn't look fat to me. Maybe weight gain is more visible on people like her who are so petite.
  5. Oh, to be a kid growing up in the 1980s again. Can we go back- right now???
  6. If only Pence had the testicles to actually do this... https://www.google.com/amp/s/nymag.com/intelligencer/amp/2020/12/if-trump-uses-martial-law-pence-should-use-25th-amendment.html
  7. According to Gerry Waggett's AW trivia book, Robert Kelly added his mother's maiden name of Kelker for his stage moniker. Not only because there was already another Robert Kelly in the actors' union, but because his father had left him and his mother. That was his way of distancing himself emotionally from his father.
  8. Yes...and songs by the likes of The Carpenters, The Eagles and Earth, Wind & Fire have been heard in some of the episodes. I wonder how Retro TV got away with that. 😉
  9. Did Ilene leave again in 1983 of her own volition or was she fired? Of course, the next time she came back (1986), she stayed until the cancellation.
  10. Among the many to clap back - Tracey Gold: https://www.google.com/amp/s/people.com/tv/kirk-cameron-supports-christmas-caroling-events-protesting-stay-at-home-order-california/%3famp=true
  11. He and his minions will always have blood on their hands.
  12. Why doesn't any of this surprise me? Biden should not let any of these greedy, soulless, amoral beings off the hook once he takes office.
  13. Thank you, @Sean. Maybe RH would have brought Dakota back (with or without Christopher Durham) at some point had they not been cancelled.
  14. Sadly, that seems to be the norm. The pastors at my own church have gone maskless for months, as have about 95% of the congregation. The vicar (pastor-in-training) eventually got covid and so did his wife - who is pregnant. I got so fed up last month that I vowed not to go back until things get better. I not only have my parents (who are both in their 70s) to think of, but my caregiving clients. I am completely baffled as to how some members of the clergy can just slough this situation off, especially when there are elderly/immune system comprised people in every flock. Whatever happened to the Golden Rule? SIGH.
  15. "We want them infected". Honestly, isn't there any way that Trump and his henchmen can be charged with criminally negligent homicide/attempted homicide??? https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.politico.com/amp/news/2020/12/16/trump-appointee-demanded-herd-immunity-strategy-446408
  16. Speaking of Dakota, here's a nice article about Christopher Durham that was published last year: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.progress-index.com/news/20190331/hopewell-native-talks-about-his-experiences-in-new-york-city%3ftemplate=ampart
  17. How was the Dakota Smith character received back in the day? He wasn't a Labine/Mayer creation, was he? After watching the episodes rerun on SoapNet and what's out there on YouTube, I couldn't imagine Johnny stepping out on Maeve. I can't imagine the audience did, either.
  18. I too am baffled as to why Gary Frank fell into obscurity after the show (and an Emmy win). He did guest spots and a few TV movies in the '80s and into the '90s before falling off the radar entirely. GF had talent, looks and intensity. He would have fit right in on a show like thirtysomething or Sisters. His wife, Carroll Newman, was one of Family's producers. I'm not sure if she continued in TV work or not.
  19. Geoff and Cali didn't get together until the show had been off the air for quite a while. I believe he was still married to his first wife when he played Frank.
  20. They air two episodes of TD a day in an hour block, so showing one SB a day wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility. Of course, they would have to deal with the music issue - SB played a lot of the then-current hits.
  21. After his humiliating Christmas party (https://www.google.com/amp/s/news.yahoo.com/amphtml/report-hundreds-people-invited-mike-050400901.html), Mike Pompeo is now in quarantine after covid exposure (https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cnbc.com/amp/2020/12/16/secretary-of-state-mike-pompeo-will-quarantine-after-exposure-to-covid.html). They never learn, do they?
  22. The chat was every bit as delightful as you all said it was. I never knew that James Wlcek was a Teamster. Cali Timmins looks exactly the same!! Hopefully, they can get another chat together in the not so distant future. 😁
  23. I got raked over the coals by a couple of FB friends by even suggesting that the holding the CMAs in person this year was a bad idea. Of course, we have no way of knowing for sure if that's where Mr. Pride caught the virus, but I feel (sadly) vindicated.
  24. More and more people are resorting to shoplifting food and other basic essential supplies just to survive. I'm sure Mitch McConnell would throw them all in jail and throw away the key rather than lift a finger to help them. I'll never know how he can sleep at night. 😠😠😠😠😠
