  1. You are on track. Eileen mentioned Ashley's mental health problems to Josh, because of course, he knows nothing about the history of the show (and I believe it was you who guessed that the October 2003 Gina's fire episode replays were really aired to remind the audience of Ashley's mental issues!). From there, I assume he decided to do the alters because it's like the multiple characters on Days, and probably saw something about Blade and Rick while doing his "research" (browsing his phone on the toilet, presumably), and voila, a story is born! I just hope the "childhood trauma" doesn't end up being John molesting her, but I wouldn't put it past JG. https://www.tvinsider.com/1128792/young-and-the-restless-ashley-abbott-dissociative-identity-disorder-alters/ The story began to take shape last year after Ashley and Tucker’s (Trevor St. John) marriage imploded in Paris. “Josh (Griffith, executive producer and head writer) and I had been talking, and I happened to mention Ashley’s mental health issues [from the ’80s],” Davidson recalls. “He remembered and got really inspired by that. So, it was an offhand conversation about the character that tied in beautifully with what he’d already been writing.”
  2. That was very upsetting. Not sure I could handle the full documentary. Amazing that he turned in such excellent work for decades and was known as such a fun and friendly guy on the set despite going through all of that. No one on the set ever had anything but kind words about Kristoff. Now I wonder if that big personality was overcompensating. So sad. Reminds me a bit of Billy Miller.
  3. Yeah, one would think a successful EP in a very political and nepostic genre would be more... confident?
  4. Scattered thoughts : Hate when people from my shows win but they are all the wrong people! GH avenging the time Y&R won for KSJ's tribute (which actually was better). Stafford and Phyllis are basically the same person now and it's unsettling. She was right that Finola is the best in that category! Similarly, Laura Wright is super annoying the way she shot out of her seat like she personally won. And just in general. Surprised only the GH direction team mentioned Johnny Wactor. Also, they seem to have deliberately muted all applause during the memorial segment. Kind of surprised Nicholas Chavez was there. Lovely tribute to MTS and her husband (all clips from recent nostalgia episodes but beautifully scored with classic cues) and great speech. I did not hear her thank JG and I loved that. All the ladies from Y&R looked so much better in that segment than on the show. The most intriguing thing of the night was that line about "missing in action Chris van Etten" during the GH writing award.
  5. There's actually a whole page of archive material from her. It's very confusing to navigate (for example, I found the link to a 1984 project, even though the main page doesn't have 1984 has an available year). The problem is it's not well organized and the files are huge. I had it in mind to scope it out, but it takes forever to download one file and then you have to scan through it. It seems to be mostly news, but there could be hidden treasures, even old promos (but to find a 15 second promo in a 6 hour video, you'd have to watch the entire thing without fast forwarding...). Maybe someday we all can figure out how to split up the work. It would be amazing to find some stuff in there! https://archive.org/details/stokestvarchiveexperiment?sort=-date https://archive.org/details/the-marion-stokes-1984-project-wx8vjn
  6. I hope it's not because she needs the money. If she enjoys it, then good for her!
  7. I'm happy to have the opportunity to thank you. That and the SOD recaps are an invaluable resource. What incredible work and it must have taken great time and expense. Deepest appreciation.
  8. Does anyone know where the may 2024 thread went?
  9. I think that might be the case, because there's another unaccounted for preemption... @will81 and @YRfan23 what do you think?
  10. Definitely interested to see if he says anything about his divorce.
  11. Not surprised, but thank you for all your efforts - to you, and everyone else who contributes
  12. I don't have video land access but has anyone tried yt-dlp? I am guessing it would be blocked but wonder if anyone has tried.
  13. It's a shame they wasted Debbi Morgan on that YoHarmony mess.
  14. Glad to see this project up and running again.
  15. No, that doesn't sound familiar. Maybe someone put it together from the existing clips.
  16. OMG. What a sad case of life imitating art. That's shocking. I really liked him.
  17. The offscreen party at Coney Island was so Y&R!
  18. They flirted and kissed about 10 years ago. Can't really see her wanting a get more involved with anyone connected to Phyllis though.
  19. Oh wow, it's great to see KKL and SF together but of course it makes me wish SF were still on the show. She looks the same as she did then!
  20. Thank you @janea4old for compiling all this. It's fun to scroll though.
