  1. All but assuring Emmy gold for BTG. We know the academy loves him! I am a bit surprised that they didn't dribble out casting announcements after the huge Tamara Tunie news, to keep up the momentum.
  2. Amy was likable but a goody two shoes... Olivia was more layered and the relationship between her and Drucilla ultimately gave us the amazing Lillie Bell confrontation.
  3. I found her acting excellent, preferred her over the generic Debbi Morgan re-write. Yolanda's pain was very real when she was still in the throes of her addiction. Devon's frustration here is palpable. Here are some short clips:
  4. Nice! But no Moses? Wait, is Devon and Abby's wedding going to commemorate the 13,000th episode the way Chance and Abby's wedding was the 12,000th? 😅
  5. Good, I was hoping Christine would do that! A new telling of Little Red Riding Hood for Lucy. "My, my, grandmother, what large t!ts you have!"
  6. Nothing beats Lauren's special. They all sat in the lobby of the Grand Phoenix talking about the award she had received at a gala in another room offscreen.
  7. Not just the lack of the overnight set crew, but there's where they got into the habit of making the scenes very static (because they were literally holding a rope so they'd stay six feet apart) and they kept a lot of that awkward staging well after protocols were lifted. It can be really apparent in group scenes. Then you add in the lack of extras, also a holdover from COVID. They seem to have enough money to make sets (or redress them) when they want to... the Italian palazzo for Victoria and Ashland's wedding, Ashley's apartment in France, Aunt Jordan's house. But once they're up they use them and then they come down. The problem is with switching sets around. They need to do more taping out of order like GH does so they can get more use out of each time the set is up. That's really what I want here, is for Y&R to look at least as good as GH. I'm not looking for any miracles.
  8. I'd forgotten this. That was such a weird statement from Mulcahey. Feels like it was written by CBS.
  9. I love it! If only Rick Hearst were there. That's my GL.
  10. I can't recall Sharon and Lily's first interaction, but I would recommend you start skimming recaps from 8/15/02 which was Christel Khalil's first airdate. Probably a random scene at the coffeehouse.
  11. I don't see why they'd sell the rights rather than license them (and who would be in the market to purchase them?). They must still own the rights to whichever ones have been used in reruns and clip shows, at least as of the date the rerun aired.
  12. I wonder if JG spends his days wandering between coffee shops, the park, and restaurants like his characters.
  13. Cautiously optimistic here. He must have been reasonably happy and well paid at B&B to stay so long, so this doesn't feel like he wanted to leave or they're shifting people around so they can be on a different budget (cough Steve Kent cough). It seems to indicate a desire to improve production, which is desperately needed with BTG coming. BTG could get eyeballs who haven't watched CBS Daytime in many years to check in, and the current state of Y&R is an embarrassment.
  14. Seeing Amelia in videos like that and on red carpets actually makes me respect her acting more since she's so funny in real life and always serious on the show except for occasionally with Billy Miller.
  15. Up to Thursday. I can't believe they are having Daniel have whole-ass conversations with Paul on the phone. Poor Michael Graziadei.
  16. Thanks! This must be the most Camryn Grimes has had in ages.
  17. You can find many summaries on Usenet but you will have to search for each date. Sometimes updates were posted weeks late or not at all. Here are the posts for that week but you can change the dates to look at later weeks. https://groups.google.com/g/rec.arts.tv.soaps.abc/search?q=after%3A1996-02-26 before%3A1996-03-01 2/26 https://groups.google.com/g/rec.arts.tv.soaps.abc/c/iI7GsJs0JJw/m/PyjQLpcluTUJ 2/27 https://groups.google.com/g/rec.arts.tv.soaps.abc/c/FzGIYktqPLM/m/ysy0B7KSoi4J 2/28 Can't find recap, but there's other discussion posts that day 2/29 https://groups.google.com/g/rec.arts.tv.soaps.abc/c/XB7xKTRy5-Y/m/hYKVHnU-d-cJ 3/1 Can't find recap, but there's other discussion posts that day Prior to 1995 all the soaps were here: https://groups.google.com/g/rec.arts.tv.soaps
  18. It's crazy that they don't even do a grace period lol.
  19. Pluto TV posts the US episodes, but they are a week behind: https://pluto.tv/us/on-demand/series/60efc1360bb6750013239175/season/51
  20. I didn't read that comment that way. I took it as just being curious to know what she said if she chose to post.
  21. That clip has been in the Y&R vault for a while. I believe it was originally from the Soap Hunks website. I'd been looking for it for years, and an anonymous angel sent it to me on DVD with some other goodies, and I put it in the vault over a year ago. Just want to make sure credit goes to the original people that archived and saved it (not referring to myself). Also, another kind anonymous person posted the full episode, and the lead up/Phillip's accident episodes in French in the vault. It's much easier to watch on YouTube, but it's a shame that the vault has been full and not accepting uploads for so long, because lots of rare surprises showed up there. It is a beautiful scene for sure. I always felt sorry for Jill, being the only person in that room with no one supporting her. No wonder she lashed out.
