  1. Ed...when I watched, I never saw Ed as a patriarch. He was troubled, angry, betrayed, philandering, ashamed. He never had what Ver Dorn had, that fatherly character that people looked up to. Sure a few did, but Ed always disappointed them. His alcoholism caused him to let Michelle and Rick down, and he would always leave when they needed him. He chose to help others rather than his family. I haven't seen much of Hulswit, but Simon always seemed to have one foot out the door. When Gentry returned, I had hoped he would stay. Van Vleet was simply Chuck Tyler on a different show. I wish there had been a strong Bauer presence, but after they destroyed Rick/Abby, O'Leary struggled to have a strong story. Dropping him to recurring was the final nail in the coffin.
  2. That was a great read, Paul, and very helpful filling in who some of the characters were from the cast lists, especially those from 63-66. Thanks so much for posting.
  3. I love Nick/Martha...One minute he's angry, the next they're working on a plan!

  5. imdb might say that, but I was watching. It was Klenck. Kitty was a very different type of role than Edwina, that's what I remember most about her. She was a troublemaker, while Edwina's later years, she was fairly blah, unlike her early years before she was w/ Marco and his brother Gary. You can believe me. I have no resason to make it up.Kitty's father was Sir Albert Fielding, played by Peter Carey Jones. Ellen Tobie was on at the same time as Carolyn Crawford's cousin, Evelyn DeWitt Lausin. The role was also played (briefly) by Fran Brill.Evelyn's husband,Warren Lausin, was a louse, played by Mark Shannon and Richmond Hoxie. The ATWT cast was into the whole Carolyn Crawford story, and the cast was humongous at the time.
  6. Margaret Klenck was Kitty Fielding. I remember thinking "It's about time she's back on daytime." She played another character in the 70s, before Edwina., as Marian Burton, possibly a temp.
  7. I came across the name Charles Douglas as himself in an old magazine. I googled him, but had no luck. Does anyone know who he was?
  8. I've been watching on Dailymotion. I'm up to episode 10. Morgan Fairchild, Mark Harmon, Howard Duff and Stella Stevens are standouts, but the whole cast is great! The previews are great Carl, I'm enjoying them as well!
  9. Jamie was born in November of 69.
  10. Welcome back, ABW...I missed your posts!

I was eating lunch while I was watching it on the DVR. When it popped up on the screen behind the hosts, I said Soapsuds, and my niece said "What Uncle"...and I just started laughing!

Nice...Soapsuds, they used your Republican congressman's Avatar on The View early this week...
  13. I just read an old JMR column that said Tina Sloan was a contender for Laura Horton in 76. I couldn't remember if it was posted before. She landed Patti Whiting on SFT instead!
  14. Was that Jo Henderson(ex Wilma AMC, ex-KateSfT) as Mrs. Ridgely the patient looking for the pill? I thought it was. That grumpy patient in the clinic in the second episode made me laugh. Love. Love. Love. the Nick/Althea dynamic more and more every day! I'm waiting for Martha to follow Ed!
  15. Lips read her...Awesome...
  16. Did I hear correctly? Althea was once engaged to Matt? I had no idea...
  17. Great siggy Eric. Taraji Rocks! and Cookie Rules!
  18. YOyo and the restaurant opening...give it a rest already! Brandy likes throwing wine and fingerbanging. Good to know Moving on...Not here for the Richards sisters...Kyleis always suckin up to Eileen's husband Vinnie. He taught you tennis five "touch ups" ago, do you really think he gives you a second look when he goes home to Queen Eileen every night? Brandy commenting on ring size...I'll bet Leann has a nice big one, too....sit your drunk *ss down and stop making googly eyes at Eileen!
  19. He was on and ..."Offed"...
  20. Uggghhh...boring Buzz...But yeah to David Lewis' Edward grumbling... Tom Hardy should still be a member of the cast...if not hin, his son! I totally forgot that Jake got Lucy preggers.
  21. Enjoying the Quincy episodes.Jack Klugman was great, and the stories always twist and turn.
  22. I know Sarah wasn't an insta sister, but McTavish was so busy tying the other two, and Sarah returned at the same time. I seriously haven' t any recollection of that return except she was terrible. I don't think anyone I know liked KUNG FU Courtney...She was self righteous one day, stripper the next...I just couldn't stand her.
