Promising to try to locate his sister, Peter then notices a recent magazine photo of Nicole. Although she's as beautiful as always, there's something very strange about her expression....." July 19, 1983 Peter is jealous of Gil Fenton[Tom Wiggin...later Kirk, ATWT]...Perry Hutchins, Donna's stepson arrives. Mary Page Keller is announced as Peter's fiance, replacing nonentity Dawn Benz... Aug.2,1983 Donna invited Cecile to Sally and Peter's engagement party..."Cecile visits Peter and pours on the 'victim' routine,appealing to his sympathetic nature." August 16, 1983 "As more strange callers try to get hold of Nicole, Donna becomes increasingly concerned about her younger sister's whereabouts' However, it's Peter to whom Nicole turns, arriving at his apartment one night without any warning. Although Nicole is beautiful, she has an edginess that her brother can't understand. Nor will Nicole explain to him why she is flat broke. Immediately, Nicole takes a liking to Sally and warns her about 'devious' Donna. When Peter gently suggests to his sister that she'd be more comfortable in the big Love house, Nicole refuses to go anywhere near Donna until Peter paves the way,. After he extracts Donna's promise not to hassle Nicole, the nervous young woman agrees to live under Donna's roof for a while." The caption under Anna Stuart's photo says..".How far will snooty Donna Love [Anna Stuart] go to break up her brother's engagement?"

I loved Steve/ Martha[Ina] interaction. She says it like it is, and she cracks me up!

Cecile...BEST CHARACTER OF THE ERA. They made her a little too over the top with her comebacks. I can't imagine Frangione as Mary Sue Tara on AMC. She's just too ...I can't place it , but put upon Tara should have had some spark with NF in the role. I love Gabet, but Brittany just stunk! She was wasted as Melinda on OLTL. They should have used her later when Melinda returned. The other actress[Nicole Orth Pallavicini] was just blah. I loved Cecile's dress and flapper veil she wore in her pre wedding scenes with Peter. Just Stunning, The outfit worked really well on her. When Donna would get into it with Cecile their chemistry was awesome! I found the first issue mentioning Nicole last night, I'll post some of it tonight.

She was Nurse Sheilah Rafferty[?] I have a little info on her first OLTL character somewhere, I'll post it later.

I was 13 at the time, and remember a bit. Peter didn't live at the Love Estate until after he became bitter...after the mess with Sally,. He was originally played as a good guy by John Hutton, but then they chose to make him darker. I found a bunch of 80s Digests from later in 1983[May on], so I'll read up tomorrow and post some pertinent info.

Who was the doctor that hit on Carolee the other day? The actor looked familiar fro daytime. Usually they credit the actors with that many lines. Their scenes were adorable as Carolee went through so much haranguing to get the night off! Dr. All Rich seems to be making headway with Wet blanket Werner, I thought I almost saw that smile she reserves for Matt when he gave her that book! Penny and her diary, talking to Liz... Hell raiser in the making. She reminds me of SD's Betsy on ATWT.... Lydia has won me over, but I'll miss Bethel's eye rolls and dirty looks at WBW! Is it just me or does Dr. Powers always have that pipe in his mouth? Best show of 1968 2014 by far!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone know if Linda Dano temped on GH in the early 60s as Peggy Mercer? I have it in a list of casting notes, and it just doesn't sound right.

No, Astrid came along a little later[when Ivan Kipling returned]. She was played by Marilyn McIntyre a veteran of many daytime dramas.

I read that [a looong time ago in some soap magazine]. I liked her on OLTL better than her replacement there Julianne Johnson I think her name was. I've only seen a little of her as Morgan from youtube, I started watching GL around 83, so I missed her back then. I remember Jennifer Cooke from V:the Series, and she didn't make much of an impression on me, either.

I was young and watching around that time, and she just doesn't look familiar from OLTL to me. Of course, CJ as Vicky is tough to get used to. I remember her better as Pamela, Christina on Rituals, and Catsy on RH. None of those scream Vicky to me! I wish I was watching AW when she was Janice, but I didn't start watching AW til 83. Jones was quite the soap hopper in those days, I wonder if she ever appeared on ATWT. Anyway, I got sidetracked...she [with Brad] looks familiar, but not from OLTL.

I love the camaraderie between the fab four[Maggie, Matt, Althea and Nick]. You can just tell they enjoyed working together. Could anyone truly replace Laura? I loved her character's attitude, and she was easily one of the best actors ever in this cast. She and Sumner were a match made in well, wherever...I loved Paige, too, but to me Laura was irreplaceable! I wish she was mentioned in the finale,[maybe she was but it's been years since I last watched it]. I wondered if anyone else liked her as much as I do. My friends couldn't stand her when we watched it.

Joanna Reinhart replaced Tamara Tunie in95, but she wasn't around very long, and eventually Tunie returned.

Jay Wilkison[ex Riley OLTL] was smacking Laura Benanti's Sadie Stone on Nashville last night!

Adolphe Caesar was Dr. Douglas Burke on GH and Zamana on GL. He was on GH in the late 60s and GL during the Dreaming Death storyline.
