Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Ah...yes...Rebecca Gayheart's Toni Moletti (sp)? I remember that newspaper, too. lol. I want to take a moment to say a personal thank you for the last part. I was told to watch out for synchronicities this past week. So when I woke up the morning you posted this, I had to head to work, but as I was working and processing some things going on in my own personal/professional life, I had a light bulb moment. Especially after my avatar comment this past weekend. I guess the Universe was trying to tell me something...and message received. Everything you said about Brenda in her freshman college year (and how Shannen played her) resonated with some of what is currently going on with me and I was really needing a sign and what bigger sign than an actress who has always inspired me through the characters she has played so again I want to say THANK YOU. Taste. Also taste. But back to Housewives talk... I agree. They just released a new clip, and Gizelle is really having a good season. She really is coming across as a person and more engaged than she's been in years. I don't think I've like her as much as I'm liking her now since Season 1 when I thought she was the underdog with that bad wig. I agree. La Dame knew coming into this season she would be on the hot seat. So she has no choice, but to be cautious. And like Gizelle, she is playing it well. I just wish for more accountability from her. Jacqueline, Jacqueline, Jacqueline. smh. I really wanted her back regularly. The potential she gave. Back as a sidekick...NO. The good news is that yes, Messy Mia IS giving context. Personal storyline. Group moments. A rivalry for the ages with La Dame. It's part of the reason that her position on the show has gotten elevated. Moreso because the other ladies last season were giving nothing really, but her and La Dame. So it's no worry that Gizelle is gunning for her and La Dame is threatened by her. Add on her moves polarize AND titillate the audience, but EVERYONE is talking about HER...it's no wonder she is in the spotlight now. But like you, I don't think how she is playing this paternity storyline is the best move at all. Baby Kenya!!! hehe. But I think the TJ relationship is real for sure, but the nature of it is the ??? Yeah, I agree. Wendy was there the first two episodes, but it's been pretty light. Outside of group scenes.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
NY Uh... I'm not going to say that I didn't enjoy it. I actually really like that the ladies are trying to find their groove with each other. In fact, I felt halfway through the episode that they were giving THEIR version of OGNY's brand of wackiness that was different, but a definite vibe that went through the old team. And then it went to Hades in a handbasket due to Brynn. Le sigh. Brynn, Brynn, Brynn. As a black man (with a recently self-published book touching on some of that), that final scene of Ubah vs Brynn...I refuse to believe that Brynn is lacking in that much self-awareness, Aquarius or not. Which typing that and recent events in my life...I can see. BUT the fact that Erin very well caught how Ubah would react as a white woman vs Brynn who is part-black...DID NOT? Either Brynn truly did not catch how she was making Ubah feel, or worse she did catch it and did all that on PURPOSE. Images of Candiace/Wendy, RHOP, and colorism...well the clips since I haven't fully sat through that reunion...are dancing in my head. And how dare Brynn would play like that. And then she pulled a Karen right after and cried, giving a victim act. A victim act when she was all cool in her Gemini/Aquarius bond with Jenna, flirty with FOH, and minding her business even though Ubah/Sai was paying her dust? Performative at the least, disgusting at the worst. No wonder everyone is dragging her online. Like La Dame currently on RHOP, I can't defend that at all. Just messing up the trip for me personally. ERIN. I admit...she truly came across good this episode. I didn't know Erin had such a naughty side to her. You got a good one, Abe! Though I did worry about her pulling a prank AGAIN given what happened with her and Ubah last season with a prank. But THAT...that gave us an old school OGNY moment so I can't hate on that. lol. And she gets points with me for trying to mend the fence between Ubah and Brynn ON and OFF camera even if it went left quickly due to Brynn. SAI. I thought her, Jessel, and Ubah at the store was hilarious. Probably because I'm just having the same grocery issues here in San Diego!!!! My jaw was dropped cuz MILK FOR 9 DOLLARS??? That size for me is now 2 to 4 dollars now, and I'm happy I can find one for 2 with a good date on it with my possessed fridge. lol. I was rolling. Outside of that, I found Sai kept to herself and definitely away from Brynn. JENNA. Outside of her usual rapport with Brynn, she really did not do much for me this episode. RAQUEL. What was I just saying the other day about new housewives with interesting backstory? Because her story about her last name was heart-breaking. And her quirky vibe throughout the episode was a good one. If anything, I just need her to get into the mix a little more. But that will come in time. JESSEL. I like that she has definitely come out of her shell since the last Hampton trip. And if we are going to see anyone, it's going to be Nora Pavit. hehe. And I enjoyed the trio of her, Sai, and Ubah. They really seem to get each other in a way. Like when Ubah vs Brynn exploded, I felt her and Erin were really meditating. UBAH. Yeah, I'm starting to see why the rift got the way it did between her and Brynn. Jessel was right. I don't think Ubah has forgiven Brynn for the finale last year. She has been looking at Brynn sideways all season so far...especially with Brynn's interactions with Sai. And now Brynn is policing how she should feel, think, and speak when Brynn should know how she feels as a black woman. And then to watch her express herself only for Brynn to get in her feelings? Ugh. BRYNN. I mean...you wanted the spotlight so much with the pot-stirring? As Porsha Williams would say...ENJOY IT. I cannot believe (okay, I can) that she was walking around acting oblivious to Ubah/Sai icing her out as if she did not know why they would be mad at her. Ubah mentioned why last week. As did Sai. Both to her face. So where was the disconnect? I just felt Brynn was being willfully obtuse about it. And rather than come to some understanding, she made it worse by policing Ubah's feelings. And that was a shame because before that scene, everyone was really having a good time. SHE was even having a good time by hanging with Erin, Jenna, and Rebecca. And then the victim act...GIRL, BYE. I never thought I would see the day where my Brynn would go down the Lisa Barlow slide, but yet here we are. And then next week, Brynn looks like she's going to pull some more potential microaggression stuff on Ubah. Ugh. I'll be here for the CLUELESS dress-up about because it is one of my favorite movies. That said...AS IF!! lol.

I always forget until you remind me of that. LOL. My mind still being on KM as Livvie at the time. Whether I have liked all of her characters or not, one thing I can say is that LH has always made me feel SOMETHING with her characters. I would love to see her somewhere. It should say something about her talent that I actually got to the point that I looked forward to her subbing for Sam because she has such presence, great acting choices, and yes, likeability. And she just fits in perfectly. I was usually sad when she left. I feel she's the kinda of actress who could inspire the writers with her acting choices, but that's just me. Outside of 2007, Original Drew (from what I hear), the beginnings of Sante, and PM's run, KM has been sleepwalking. I agree.

Well people were already wanting that with LH cuz she was fire as Sam and fit in perfectly. Nature of the beast. Heck we might even be getting that Sam/Dante/Lulu triangle if they pulled that move. Same. Same. lol. And I just said the same about LH. Every time she has shown up, she has played it to perfection and yes, she would have been playing it to the hilt even now.

I admit...given how LH kept popping in with very little announcement (yes, I saw she filmed that when she filmed her other fill-in) or reason (since KM WAS available to film from what was announced), I was wondering if this was going to be another Marcus Coloma situation where someone came in to finish the story as well.

Same. It was VERY pleasing for real. +1 I would go so far as to say Jason and Sam had their LAST scene a few weeks ago when they were alone in the hospital talking after Jason/Anna brought Lucky back. Because that scene oozed with finality. Which is why I said above that someone's bias is showing. It is more or less common knowledge now that Sam is leaving. And usually when a character leaves that has been on for years/decades, writers usually would be playing the beats of said leave by having her interact with all the people that matter to the character. While I'm more a fan of KM than of Sam, even I can say WTF IS THIS? Because they are clearly playing the story beats of Lulu's storyline alongside Sam's farewell, but yet why does it feel like Sam's leaving is being played in a vacuum? Why are the scenes so scattered? Why is there really very little POV from Sam versus playing a plot beat? That's why I said is it just the writing or a bias being shown? I could say the writing due to what I mentioned about Spin because people were up in arms he had no scene with her before yesterday? But the writers played that beat. So...what is going on? I don't miss those days, either, but there seems to be some disrespect there.

IKR! It was just a quick scene as physical therapist, but I was taken aback for sure. IKR! It was just a quick scene as physical therapist, but I was taken aback for sure.

And they were. On one hand, they have every right to be upset given how Jasam has had a fanbase and how KM was in the promo for SB's return. They were already mad that she had not gotten a scene with Spin until yesterday I believe. What I'm not liking is people saying they are not playing Sam's farewell beats. They really have been playing them, but they are just doing it too scattered around. Whether it is the writing or just FV's bias showing I have no idea.

About fell over when I heard his voice and had to look at my screen to be sure. Dominic Zamprogna popped up in a scene on tonight's episode of AMERICAN SPORTS STORY.
