@DramatistDreamer also watched Degrassi on WNET/Channel 13 in NYC. And it's tri-state affiliates. I'm pretty sure PBS didn't censor Degrassi. At least in the NYC area. I also remember PBS showing. At lot of stuff that pushed the envelope. Back in the late 80's/early 90's. Long before PBS got in trouble. For airing the original Armistead Maupin's Tales of The City.

The boarding house was a great place. For wayward outsider characters. In the couple of random episodes. That feature the boarding house. I love the interaction between the characters. With a quirky Ina in a maternal role. I really like Karen and Ed's friendship.

@Soapsuds Just started watching. Alan's talking really fast. Tripping over his words. As he introduces Maree and Lisa.
For me the real GH creased to be about 20 yrs ago. In modern era GH. Somethings i see glimpses. So tired of the same played status quo. I saw China Bench as a teen. And even then i was impressed by how real. raw and gritty it was. Been meaning to revisit the show through adult eyes. Very tempted to get the DVD. I'm so glad they managed to get some much of the music. Music after all was a big part of CB.

But it's not even funny. Really missing Beyond Salem. It was fun. Unlike Days which is a chore too watch.
The story is slow as molasses. While going in circles at the same time. The possession episodes are just as boring as everything else.
