Y&R to air classic episodes
Same. I hate Billy/Victoria. I liked Chloe and Billy as well. On paper it made sense. Esther's daughter and Jill's son together should be driving years and years of story. Sigh. I think some people just don't or didn't care for Billy Miller so they don't understand the interest in the couple, I guess.

Y&R to air classic episodes
lol same here. But then I thought about it and I'll take anything still from 2004 over the last 10 years. THIS. Interesting it seems they're, as of now, skipping 1998-2003, right? Which would be Alden's tenure ... maybe I'm reading into it too much, lol

Loving/The City Discussion Thread
She flees PV or gets an offer she can't refuse. She already has ties with Angie. It wouldn't be a stretch but the shows were already becoming a mess by 1996/1997 so it's probably for the best. I do think it could have benefitted the show more but there's not much interesting The City, IMO. Watching the first week's episodes on YouTube and it's kind of a snooze.

Neighbours: Discussion Thread
Definitely. And depending where we are on testing, it's not out of the realm everyone gets a test before going into the building. Who knows where we will be in the next few months with this? B&B relies a lot on making out and sex so it'll be interesting to see how they pull it off. I think they need to come up with some kind of gameplan (not saying they aren't but we haven't heard anything at all). Not sure why they can't wear masks behind the camera and social distance in a few months from now. They can do their own makeup and hair (many do) and wardrobe. Space people out on camera. It could be awkward at first but they have to figure out something.

THIS And personally I can't see LW and KZ meshing well as people. They seem very different yet also kind of similar in many ways (another example, like how Chappell and Zimmer are a lot alike in terms of their personality and didn't get along). But time changes things. I think Watros appreciated Zimmer but Zimmer was jealous. She was 'the star' (no doubt Paul Rauch feeding her ego) and Watros was getting a lot of the spotlight and Reva was written either nasty or stupid. I can see it.

Neighbours: Discussion Thread
Same. They COULD be kind of clever about it, should they so choose. But it could likely only last so long. They kinda have to come up with something. Social distancing seems possible. I'd rather they not address the situation itself on the soaps though, personally, but they may have to. Not sure. DAYS doesn't need to worry about it, LOL.

I agree with all of this, but I also felt they basically swapped Andy out for Jake McKinnon and Tom Eplin in terms of story. Andy should have been paired with Molly. He was gone in 2000, so they overlapped a bit but still ... Hogan likely had no use for him. DeFreitas and later Holroyd being dumped always pissed me off.

Not a bad idea. Hopefully they can pull it off. Maybe easier for a half hour show. I can see B&B doing similar things. But who knows?

Loving/The City Discussion Thread
I love hearing anything I can about this show. Like James, it's always fascinated me and I've wanted to watch the full run. I watch whatever I can on YouTube. It's been nice to have the Loving murders. As well as the first week of The City to watch. I was always bummed SoapNet never aired it.

Yep. This. MADD was the problem. Not that Goutman didn't suck ass of course ... like soapsuds said, it was MADD who dumped him. But considering Andy never returned under Goutman it does open the question up ... Still not sure why they dumped Scott Holroyd for awful one note Roger Howarth.

Yes! Hopefully more are to come. Seems like Alan's actively working to get whoever and anybody he can so that's good. lol. I'd also like to circle back around to other actors who've already participated but with different folks. Lots of opportunities here. I do imagine some actors aren't into the whole thing and maybe don't have or understand how to participate but I hope he starts digging deeper.
