  1. I didn't mind the San Cristobel stuff in the beginning. I liked Edmund and Richard but it just lasted too long. It felt like them and the Santos clan took over the show. IMO. And not in a good way. I always liked Edmund but they just overdid it with him coming and going and one minute he was misunderstood, the next he was almost like a mustache twirling villain. He had good chemistry with Beth and Cassie. They also shouldn't have kept Bradley Cole after Richard died. In moderate doses, Carmen was fine and entertaining to me. I liked Ray. I didn't mind Tony, at times, but the writing just wasn't there for him. The numerous recasts of Marah, Shayne, etc. didn't help, either. You couldn't get invested in them. I agree about how Ben, Michelle and Bill were all basically like watching strangers with familiar names. When Joie Lenz left they should have ended Manny or brought on a stronger Michelle. NSA was too matronly as Michelle, she aged too much and I just didn't care anymore at that point. And personally, I wasn't that big of a Paul Anthony Stewart fan and they seemed to lose interest in Danny. I did like the chemistry between Laura Wright and PAS (which is rare when on a new soap that two actors once paired together can recapture their chemistry, but they did). I also agree that Claire was mostly wasted in her return. What a shame as there was a LOT of potential there. I also didn't like losing Abby. Or Selena, to be honest. I think the cast purging around 1997/1998 wasn't very good for the show. A lot of characters left. The recasts of Cassie and Michelle fell completely flat to me. Nicole Forester actually wasn't a bad actress, IMO, but she shouldn't have been Cassie. Cassie should have just been written off.
  2. I wish there'd be an over the air network that would pick up the primetime soaps. I wish I could find a stream online of TVGN/Pop ...
  3. Thanks for the info on Jay/Ben. I wish they would go there with them. But I don't think DTC would tell that story well at all if they did. And of course Ben tried to force himself on Abi. Sigh. I'm considering watching again but between that and hearing Denise is being wasted ... I don't know. Why does everyone have to either be miserable or a violent SOB?
  4. I haven't watch EastEnders in forever ... lol So, how original. Have the gay boy beaten up. What's with Jay and Ben? Are they ... "going there" with them? I feel I missed some context here. I see Barbara Windsor and John Partridge [Christian] are returning for the anniversary week. Ross Kemp turned it down. LOL
  5. A fan tweeted about yesterday being anniversary of the date Ryan's Hope ended and Rosie O'Donnell re-tweeted it. I wish she could magically resurrect this show. LOL. I'd even take reruns again at this point. Thankfully there's YouTube ...
  6. I'd argue 1996-1998 was the light dimming, IMO. It never recovered from those years, really.
  7. Well, in that case, it is wrong, lol.
  8. Congrats to Matt Bomer on his Golden Globe win for The Normal Heart!
  9. LOL. Wasn't trying to start a debate on "the Toms" but they're clearly bi or gay. I'd say it's damn obvious and that's fine. And many many many many straight/curious guys have some DL fun. Nothing wrong with it.
  10. I was meaning most straight guys won't sleep together like that, not saying all wouldn't. Not a gay guy and a "straight" guy who's either in denial, bi-curious, or just into sex.
  11. Yeah, sorry, straight guys don't sleep like that. I don't watch the show but have read this thread and then googled the "Toms" ... they're supposed to be straight? I got instant pings from one of them.

You might not get the station, and I'm assuming you don't, but they're now airing on Cozi TV
  13. Agreed with everyone but the problem is that it gets what, 3 million viewers? They don't care about the quality as long as it pulls in the viewers, which boggles my mind. This show is paaaaainful to watch. But at the same time, it's hard to look away. Like a trainwreck ...

Grit and Escape don't seem to air a lot of programming, mostly movies, but I notice Grit has recently started airing The Rookies.

LOL, I thought I was the only one who did dream schedules? I'm so glad I'm not alone in this!

If anyone gets Bounce TV they've added A Different World weekdays 7-8pm. Escape, another digital subchannel, is airing Unsolved Mysteries. I love all of these digital subchannels popping up! Escape, Grit, Movies! ... There's also This-TV, Heartland (formerly a relaunch of The Nashville Network), Family Channel (formerly MyFamilyTV) ...

LOL. Not sure of the official schedule yet but looks like Cozi is adding Murder, She Wrote in January (it will air Mon-Fri from 3-5pm, on Fridays 8pm-11pm and Sundays 7pm-9pm). Dragnet and Adam-12 move from ME-TV to Cozi (they've also aired on Antenna TV so they're making the rounds!). Adam-12 airs 12-1pm and Dragnet will air 11pm-12am. The Adventures of Zorro will be added and air 11am-12pm. The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp will air from 9am-10am. Bronco will air 8am-9am. It Takes a Thief will air Mondays at 10pm. I really like Murder, She Wrote but Here's Lucy better not be dumped. Also Cozi airs Highway to Heaven (why at 6am I don't know). Really never got into the show in the past but it's actually quite good.

And now looking at the PDF schedule it seems primetime changes every week? WTF? Fantasy Island isn't even listed until Sunday I think? Cozi needs some help. LOL
  19. KMan101 replied to DAMfan's topic in Primetime & Streaming
I agree. I don't understand rotating shows for one day a week. Makes NO sense to me when you have so many hours to fill. Cozi is alright (starting with Maverick and ending with Fantasy Island) for the most part, but could have a stronger schedule. They seem to be adding as they go but it reminds me of a better scheduled Retro TV when that first launched with shows like The Campbells nobody knew. And I like Fantasy Island but there's no need for it to air for three hours for three days a week. And I'm pretty up on all the shows but what on earth is Run for Your Life? I guess I'm going to have to Google that one. Never ever heard of it.

Do we have a CoziTV thread? LOL I love that they air Here's Lucy and Make Room for Daddy. I'm actually really looking forward to CBS's channel coming next year, Decades.
  22. KMan101 replied to DAMfan's topic in Primetime & Streaming
Yeah, I agree their schedule doesn't make a lot of sense. Shows are just seemingly shoved wherever. And the "Mystery Movie" I've heard will be a nod to the NBC Mystery Movie (McMillan and Wife, Columbo, etc.)

PREACH It's what TV LAND *was* back when it first launched. TV Land was commercial free (I *believe*), had "retro-mercials" and aired Family Affair, etc. and didn't air shows in back-to-back blocks (now it's back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back) Antenna TV is what TV Land became in the mid 2000s (by that I mean a focus on 70s shows and airing them back-to-back). LOL I love both networks. I just want ME-TV, darn it. Antenna TV will be adding a bunch of new shows this coming year. The Jeffersons (FINALLY), One Day at Time (FINALLY!!!), Mr. Belvedere, Small Wonder ...
