I really disliked the trashing of Diane. Susan Walters was OK and worked, but Alex Donnelly was perfection.

Alan, Georgie and Emily were all shock-value plot-driven deaths that never should have happened. I'm less upset over Emily because I was tired of her and Natalia Livingston's quivering but Alan and Georgie should still be alive. AJ's was a mistake as well, all of the times, especially under Ron's pen. Although at least that had SOME follow through, with Michael accepting his spot in the Q's and hating Sonny, but the stans cried and we all know what happened there

Brash and Cwickly were surprisingly good for DAYS. I was so upset when they got sacked and we got Higley. I had some hope for Reilly but then it all went downhill. As someone who started watching under Reilly, I was beyond upset at his return and how bad it was. He also turned Passions into utter trash at the same time. Say what you will about Passions, and while it was out there in the beginning, 1999-2001 for Passions was a very different show than the last few years. I don't know what happened. Clearly he just didn't care and threw whatever stuck at the wall, but nothing stuck. I was hoping MarDar would be somewhat of an inbetween of Reilly and Brash/Cwickly. I think they had good intentions but after a few months I don't know what happened. They weren't as bad as some want to say they were IMHO.

I haven't watched since Jade's death. I hate they killed her off and now I read they killed off Celine. Another mistake. I enjoy the show but it's a little too quick to kill off people. It's sometimes just a bit too plot driven but I guess that's what also drags me in ...

OMG they brought back Duane ("whatever") and Viper! LOL And it was great seeing Gia again too

Paula's basically only on Friday's so I can deal with it too. Weird because I like her on GMA Weekends (not at first but the View has helped her loosen up tremendously, actually) but I find her sticking out like a sore thumb on the View and she gets on my nerves. I guess it comes down to she has chemistry with her co-hosts on GMA (all men except Diane Macedo, previously Sara) but not on the View.

Elisabeth and Joy got to the point where they needed to be separated. Elisabeth was grating and defensive. The Rosie situation didn't help her at all, either. Elisabeth was a sinking ship that they abandoned. She couldn't even last at FOX News. I can't believe that was the same sweet girl who was on Survivor in 2001. Joy and Elisabeth were both axed. Joy came back. Elisabeth won't be back. They want Elisabeth without it actually being Elisabeth. I don't miss her at all on the show. I also don't really miss Sherri. I felt the show was running on fumes with Sherri and Elisabeth. Jenny never stood a chance which is a shame because I do like her, but it was another Michelle situation. They want "shocking" but then when the network gets any pushback they panic. That's what it seems to me. Candace also has a long history of working with ABC. And Paula seems fairly respected at ABC News so she'll toe the company line. Michelle and Jenny are too outspoken to toe the Disney line. And they still use Jenny for New Years Eve. And Michelle seems to be hosting things on Logo so she's not hurting.

It came off as trying too hard. I like her and didn't mind her at first but it wasn't working.

God, it's scary that I actually finally agree with a post of yours. I don't agree that Candace was annoying. That's personal preference. The show wanted her to be Hasselbeck. They wanted her to clash I'm sure with Joy and Whoopi. Like Paula and Whoopi seem to have some tension between them. That's what they wanted but that's not what they got. So I think it was more of a mutual goodbye, like Raven. Michelle was doomed the second the nurse thing happened and with Joy coming back she wasn't needed. Paula's not needed but I guess she's a familiar enough co-host now to fill in to give Sunny, Jed and others a day off when needed, but I think the panel of Whoopi, Sunny, Joy, Sara and Jed is the best we've had in a really really long time.

I gave her some flack, and she came on a bit strong, but I do actually kind of like Candace (I don't at all share some of her viewpoints). Seems like a nice person, though. The View just wasn't the right fit and it came at the wrong time in her career. I hope the View opened her mind a bit more. She definitely loosened up, some. With that said .... BYE!

Shocking no one, Candace announced she's leaving The View. I think today is her first day back and last day all at the same time. Are they even going to bother with having Paula say she's out? I mean, it's a joke at this point. I guess they could keep Paula as a fill-in.

It was good. I like that they even had them do opening shots for the new credits. Meredith really should come back once Whoopi goes. They should have saved Tom Selleck for today's episode.

Anyone going to tune in to the special on Lifetime on election night? I'll watch other coverage most likely but I set the DVR for it and may flip to it. Yep. And Whoopi and Joy were great

LOVE when she stops by. LOL. She never fails to deliver. Someone should keep track of how many times she utters Hillary Clinton's name. The audience even started laughing.

Didn't watch last week. I was doing so well keeping up, LOL .... Last episode I watched was Jade's death The show definitely has a ton of dead weight it could cut. Cameron will eventually get caught. I've noticed plots circle and hem and haw but eventually conclude. I liked the actress playing his sister. Leela and Teagan could both go tomorrow and I wouldn't blink. They don't know what to do with either of them. Ste doesn't deserve Harry and I'm tired of them giving this dude things to act that he clearly can't act. Does the show tell him he's good? Sorry but man ... And I agree the balance is odd. You don't see people for weeks/months at a time. I've gotten used to it and people get their time but it's different. I'm sick of the Joe/Mercedes merry-go-round and I was disappointed they seem to keep going down the same path with Joanne. Maxine losing the baby was sad. But the last thing this hot mess needed was another kid ...

Yeah, Sunny's usually on GMA, especially if she isn't on The View. I don't think Candace is going anywhere but eventually she'll tire of commuting IMO. I was shocked she came back this season. LOL yeah I noticed Paula wasn't on for her birthday, when they go out of their way to make the day special for the co-hosts with celebrity guests and the entire show about them. Says a lot, doesn't it? I mean, Sara Haines got a baby shower day devoted to her. Raven had a birthday episode. .... BYE FELICIA, Paula needs to get to steppin' .... I notice she's only on Friday's, which is the episode Whoopi usually isn't on anymore (she looked pressed last week to be on Fri) .... I wonder if her airtime goes up next year with Whoopi going or if she's out too. Hard call with her because she works for ABC News. They can use her or not. And when Meredith Vieria guested a week or two ago she looked great in that moderator chair. They need to find out a way to give her everything to bring her back. But she may not even want to. Back up that Brinks ... BYEEEEEEE! But yay to the Raven revival!

I have to LOL that they have 8 co-hosts and still have to get someone else to guest co-host, unless Joy wanted Don Lemon there. But it's just always funny to see a guest co-host now. I feel like Paula's thirsting for the moderator spot. She was acting like Joy's BFF on Friday. I don't think Paula and Whoopi are huge fans of the other. Maybe it's in my head but I think there's something there with Joy/Paula and Whoopi. I see a bit of tension between Whoopi and Joy that I didn't see before Joy came back. But maybe it's just me and I need new things to think about ...

I think the Elisabeth ship has sailed. I don't think they'd be at all interested. JMO. She's dropped off the face of the earth anyway it seems. The panel of Whoopi, Sunny, Joy, Sarah and Jed works the best. CCB, Paula and Raven are wastes, clearly why they've barely been on. Bure is already on another months long break while Paula and Raven do their weekly pop-ins.

Well, a true reboot COULD work, I suppose. I need to read more about it. Was just posting some quick thoughts. 90210 wasn't too bad but it didn't know what it wanted to be and having several showrunners in the course of a couple of seasons didn't help. It never set the world on fire. MP was a disaster. Some small potential there but what a waste. Such a shame. Dallas was OK but Cidre was a problem and the lackluster Metcalfe and Brewster didn't help. Anyway ... back to the Dynasty remake ... to me, a reboot is picking the show up where it left off, but a remake is doing the show over again in the vein of the original but updated, like this is going to be. I hate how they call them "reboots".

I don't get why they keep CCB either. And LOL at Paula and Raven doing what we all expected, like one episode a week if that. Not complaining about the three of them not being on, it's just predictable and funny. Joy has been thirsting for the moderator chair for some reason and she seems locked in for a few years anyway and they have six thousand co-hosts so they'll be fine. Whoopi probably draws a tiny crowd but she's been checked out and miserable for years now. I'm also tired of her talking over everyone, pushing her point, and then moving on. I often agree with her (to a degree on some things) but it's gotten so bad. It was always there but she gives no [!@#$%^&*] anymore.
