I like the panel of Whoopi, Sara, Joy, Sunny and Jedidiah. I do not miss Paula, Candace or Raven at all. Just make the switch and call it a day. They practically already have. I mean, it's comical that three of the hosts in the opening credits aren't ever even on. Move on and let's name Sara, Sunny and Jedidah. I fear we're stuck with Paula but hopefully not. Her absence is up there now with Raven. I'd say they're done but Paula seems like someone who knows how to get ahead and will use dirt and throw you under the bus to do so. All of a sudden this woman became the GMA Weekend co-anchor and The View co-host. Just something about her .... Jedidah is a good combo of Nicolle/Paula so they need to stick with her if she's interested. Of course they could have just kept Nicolle the past few seasons ...

Peri and Nico are trash. Ugh. Loved Alfie/James. Always a pleasure to see yummy Nathan. It's wash, rinse and repeat with Maxine. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Trevor's replacement is already tiring my nerves and while I love the actress, Sienna has long needed to not be around. She can take her nasty daughter with her.

LOL. I didn't even notice. Btw the View has been showcasing its new panel for next year. Again today they had the 5 that will be hosts of the show for the upcoming season. Yeah, I noticed that. I like it. I still could do without Paula. I still wish Nicolle were in her place. Yes I'm beating that old tired dead horse still. LOL

I can't see it doing well, especially Friday @ 8 ... It would be a good fit for that slot, too. In theory anyway. If it gets the Amazing Race back on sooner ...

A US soap wouldn't know what to do with five gay men. Or Esther. How is there not more of an outcry for more lesbian representation on the US soaps? All we ever hear about is the desire to see two men making out, which is great, but still ... interesting.

Loved the skydiving with Jade and Alfie love them. Tom needs to take a hike. He and Peri not getting much airtime pleases me because they're both so grating. I can go back to liking Tom if he stays away from Jade. Damn at Grace's brother. Hello there lucky Maxine. LMAO at Sienna faking being her bestie now. Ready for the climax to Nico/Patrick. And I know she wasn't on today but lord Nico is a loon. I'm so ready for her to get hers. I still have to LOL at her being the one to take down Patrick and Trevor. LOL at the camera capturing Marnie and Freddie. I don't get the show's obsession with Freddie but he's become a bit more tolerable and I don't mind him with Ellie or Marnie. But eh. I like Cindy and Dirk together. I'm guessing her sister will cause some drama considering they are now free to be happy again, so in HO style, contrived drama will follow.

No other UK soaps at the moment. I may try Emmerdale.

Hollyoaks: Discussion Thread
I've been watching regularly every day again for a while now. I roll my eyes at times with how contrived and rushed some things are, and how things are forced and you clearly see the plot point for why coming a mile away, but it entertains the hell out of me. I really enjoy the show for the most part. A few years ago it was so incredibly dark and Patrick, Sienna (who I love now but come on, this bitch should not be walking around town like a regular citizen), Trevor, Sinead and Ste and other characters just worked my nerve. It's better balanced now. I like the cast. I don't know why I don't post in this thread. But sometimes I fall behind. I use a livestream link to watch it live every day now when I can, and they do an omnibus on Sunday. Just gotta remember the time difference ...

Supergirl: Discussion Thread
I don't understand the obsession with wanting Superman on the show. Obviously, they're tied together, can't get away from that, but let the show be on it's own. All you hear about it half the time is 'Superman' this and 'Superman' that. I also don't know if Tom Welling would do it, or if they'd even ask him. Then they run having to potentially deal with Smallville's 10 year history and the expectation that Welling would now be Superman like he was when the show ended and that would tie all the DC shows together. Not an awful idea but Smallville did their own thing at times so ... And with Welling, it's not him not wanting to wear the suit. He never wore it on Smallville because the show was never about Clark Kent wearing that suit. If he's asked to do Supergirl and wear the suit, I'm sure he would.

Wow is right. And didn't see this posted here but Scott Weinger and Juan Pablo di Pace are series regulars for Season 2.

Thank God if true is RIGHT. It's time to cut Michelle and Candace. They're never on. Michelle was OK but never quite fit with this panel IMO. Raven was OK, I liked her too, but the panel wasn't totally meshing. And they need to find solid hosts who want to be there. Sunny and Sarah are fantastic choices and it's been obvious that's where they're going. Very smart decision. I think the panel could finally last a while (Whoopi maybe not so much in a year or two). I could do without Paula and will stan for Nicolle forever but she just gets on my nerves for some reason. Thank GOD if true! Candace bored me to tears, Michelle was painfully NOT funny, and Raven was a disgrace. Raven and Michelle were a disgrace for co-host, who were supposed to represent people under 35. Their minds stayed wrapped up in pop culture and didn't know sh-t about politics or even tried. Especially, Raven. I do hope that they would add Jedediah Bila to the panel as the 6th co-host. Though I totally don't agree with her political stance at all, she served well as the Conservative on the panel. She will be needed at the start of the next season. I hope this show goes back to what it did best ... focus on politics! Leave the pop culture and vapid talk to The Talk & The Real. Not surprised at all that I completely agree with this. I like Jedediah too. Better than Paula. But I know they want a 'news' person. I figure they'll use her and Sherri to fill in and then the occasional guest co-host again. They definitely need to get a stable lineup of women.

This Is Us: Discussion Thread
Hmm. Looks so much more interesting than I thought it would be. I wrote it off because it's likely to get low ratings, look at Parenthood and other shows that deserved a bigger audience. I might actually watch a show on NBC primetime again.

Good to know. Love Batman.

Spiderman also had a live action show that didn't last very long. The live action 60s Batman was the closest thing to a hit, but in terms of years it wasn't that long either, but shows also had 30 episode seasons in the 1960s. But none of them last long and don't really have high ratings. For The CW though, it's high ratings, but for the former WB, it's nothing. Smallville did well for a while, it lasted 10 or 11 years. I was a fan in the beginning but it got tired. I got the idea behind it, but I think it was a mistake to combine UPN and The WB. But Benoist is a good star for the CW to have and a female led superhero drama is exactly what they need to combat the male led ones.

A superhero show is never going to be a big breakout on a network like CBS or Fox (I like how they still spin Gotham as a hit). If you want a cable or internet show, you're going to get the ratings for one. CBS has the ability to sneeze at 7 or 8 million viewers but the demo sucked. It won't get anywhere near what it did but if it's on par with the other superhero shows, it's fine. It's the better fit for a show like this and the CW will probably drag it on for years now.

Not saying it will happen again, but considering Fuller House was renewed within hours/days of it's premiere on Netflix .... I'd say the show's gonna be around a while

I think we had a thread for the other over the air networks, but Laff has added Cybill and Grounded For Life. They also have the rights now to 3rd Rock From The Sun, Roseanne and That '70s Show (and other Carsey/Warner shows).

I've always liked Brotherton too but they're still going to play up the Steve/Matt angle. Weinger's still taping as well and they posted an instagram of Weinger and Brotherton face to face "facing off", so they're having fun with it. But it can only be milked for so long. Please don't milk this for six seasons. Also sounds like we don't have to wait until February 2017, so we'll see when they drop the second season.

I didn't like Matt because it felt like they were quietly trashing Steve (agreed with you on this Dragonflies!). In the end I liked them both but just didn't care who she chose. I think Steve is the better fit and when we saw him with her kids on their date? That was the Steve I wanted to see and it just felt natural like he should be their father figure. I think they started to change course a bit to make it more balanced with the triangle. Weinger still looks good but it's clear why they wanted to push Matt. I think it's something they can play for a while if they choose to do so because the stans of the show won't let them leave out Steve. I don't agree, but I do, lol. I thought the same at first (I was like, why is Steve now DJ's stalker and has he been stalking her for 20 years?) but I think they thought it would be endearing. It's clear somewhere along the way it was changed up a bit. JMO. Weinger's gay? He has a wife. Not that it means anything, of course. He can be bisexual. We throw out "gay" "straight" but he could play for both teams. I was sort of surprised to find out he had a wife ...

Echoing this .... really want to see the run of this show. Sigh.
