And I do think Seasons 6 and 7 had some great episodes but the tone is so different ...

LOL. I think you're the one who needs to chill out. We all have an opinion and we're all entitled to it. I'm glad you like it. Most of us don't. It's OK.

+1 I actually thought the Cristal actress came off better than the Fallon actress. And Fallon/Steven seem so vapid and void of any real charm. It just seemed like a bunch of one liners that are meant to be bitchy or witty. It was terrible. One or two moments maybe had some promise but overall ... ugh.

Exactly. But by Season 6 I think so many of them were honestly unlikable. As much as I love the show. Roseanne's bitterness came through loud. Seasons 1-5 were the best. Season 8 wasn't too bad. I wasn't a big fan of Darlene going gothic. It lasted a little too long. And then she just became nasty. I enjoyed the episode when the family turned on her for her smart mouth remarks (when she turned down the well paying job). Darlene's probably my favorite but it got a little tired.

I never put the same stock into the finale as everyone else seemed to ... like Dan would ever stay dead in any kind of revival. LOL. Come on. And there's no way they'd undo Becky/Mark (though making Mark dumber than a box of rocks made me have a hard time seeing Lecy's Becky with him anymore) or Darlene/David. Darlene would have never been with Mark. Sarah's Becky and David maybe but not Lecy's Becky. The writing for Sarah's Becky vs. Lecy's Becky was so obvious too. They made Sarah's Becky a flighty almost dumb blond who was often bested by Darlene compared to Lecy's Becky who suddenly wanted to do more than work at a Hooters knock off and go back to college and could hold her own with Darlene ...

Thats for sure. Awful all around. Seems incredibly basic.

Yeah I can't see Mark not be addressed.

LOL @Soapsuds John lost a lot of weight that's why. Lecy looks fine. I love you buddy but lol. People do age

I feel like Season 9 was just a big ole middle finger to Disney/ABC. Which is a shame. I hope Season 10 will do the show justice. They also have to address Glenn Quinn/Mark. He went way too young

Pretty sure it's been said in other articles Galecki will take part. Not sure if it would be better on Netflix, probably, but I'm cautious on how Roseanne will handle it.

Woo hoo!!! Though I'm slightly nervous about how outlandish Roseanne may make it and how political it could be. But I'm still thrilled it's coming back. I also love that they seem to have a role for Sarah Chalke too.

LOL I like The Goldbergs. I like a lot of their sitcoms actually. I think the Shondaland dramas are a bit overrated ...

American Idol: Discussion Thread
Even if it gets half of the ratings it did in it's last season on FOX (which I fully expect it will get half of the ratings it did) it's still a step up for ABC, so it's definitely a win.

American Idol: Discussion Thread
The ratings at their lowest were still better than all the shows on Fox and some on ABC ... not saying I love they're reviving it but it's still a viable franchise. If they reboot it properly. Bringing back any old judge isn't the right move. Kelly sort of turned her back on Idol which was surprising. I think she and Adam Lambert would have made great judges.

I agree. Pay Whoopi what she wants (after ten years how is she NOT an EP?), she's a big draw for them. And the panel they have, minus Paula, is the best they've had in a very very long time. I wonder if Whoopi's here on a Friday because of Deion Sanders and Wanda Sykes ...
-
The View
Of course the Friday a week after I'm gone Whoopi and Jed are there. Sigh. Figures. Unless it was taped. I missed the opening because of a local weather alert. It's a Friday and no Paula because Whoopi is there. Interesting. But Sunny is off.

I'd take anyone over Paula ... lol She's not THAT bad but she adds NOTHING. I like her on Weekend GMA for the most part. I know Whoopi's getting the Barbara treatment and off on Friday's now that they're live but I still think it's because she and Paula aren't fans of each other. JMO. Wow. I agree with you. I expect and hope all five return next season too. I can believe she tanked. She's not personable. She's fine on Weekend GMA. I wouldn't mind Diane Macedo replacing her on The View.

The View
LOL, I know. She adds NOTHING. Ugh. I'll be in New York Wed-Sat. I have tickets to Friday's show and I'm disappointed because it's usually Paula and no Whoopi. Oh well. I have GMA tickets for Thursday as well ....

Hollyoaks: Discussion Thread
I would watch James and Harry too. It's so annoying how this show just offs people. Constantly. It's just for shock value. The show can be draining. I get into it for a while but then they start the usual crap and I tune out. I never feel like I miss much overall. It does seem he wants to get rid of anyone he didn't cast. I hate that. And so many I'd like to see dead get to stay alive and annoy the crap out of me. LOL Probably waiting for the next "Ste goes crazy" plot when they need it. It won't be about James or Harry but about Ste. It's so annoying! lol
-
Hollyoaks: Discussion Thread
I'm not currently watching at the moment, but I don't understand how anyone can really root for Ste at this point. It's been years and years of him getting clean, sober and acting normal but then the writers get bored, throw him off the wagon, or have him lose his mind or whatever and then become a screw up again, then he's shunned, then he goes on an apology tour ... it's wash, rinse and repeat with him over and over and over again. And then you have guys like Doug and Harry who are good guys falling all over themselves for him. And even JP with Ste never made sense to me.

Y&R: Old Articles
I think so too, partly Or just rerun them on Pop ... sigh They (and Procter and Gamble and ABC) are leaving money on the table. I guess maybe the end result wouldn't be worth converting or whatever they have to do, but still ... it feels like they're missing out. I mean, even just putting up their own youtube site? Or on their websites? I'm sure many would even pay a small fee for monthly access.
