  1. I could give two shits about this reboot but I wish Combs would keep her mouth shut. Even if she's right, I kind of don't like her for some reason. And it's been 12 years, she needs to get over the CW cancelling Charmed.
  2. This would have been such a much better idea.
  3. What time frame did it become apparent they weren't using Jessie, Steve and Audrey very much? It always disappointed me they ignored Jessie after McLaughlin passed and they ignored Amy after dumping Shell Kepler. Sigh.
  4. Why is The Wonder Years nowhere to be found?
  5. Oh my god. That was such a good episode. This season definitely improved on the first. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it! "Not Yet" was wonderful. I knew they wouldn't do it but yet the episode still left me questioning "would they ...." so that to me says how good the writing is. I was a mess lol. This show is so full of character development. The soap writers we have today could learn a thing or two. And it's great to see Mackenzie Phillips continue to pop in (I think she was in two episodes, could have been more). And Judy Reyes (wonder why Valerie Bertinelli hasn't guested and doesn't seem to acknowledge the show. I wonder if they think she's too much more of a 'name' and people would expect Barbara. Yet Phillips can play a counselor named Pam) Georgia Engle guest starred I noticed Kim McCullough directed an episode this season (maybe it was more than one but I only noticed her name on one episode). I think it was the Hoarders inspired episode with the garage and all of Lydia's momentos. Rita Moreno. Lawd. This woman is just amazing. I adore watching her and what this show gives her. She's just fantastic. Justina and Rita deserve Emmy's for sure. I hope they're recognized because they're just amazing actresses. I also really like the topics the show handles. It never feels overly heavy even when things get serious. They've really mastered the balance. It's very Lear-inspired but a little more light (obviously it's Lear inspired but you know what I mean). I liked the 2001 flashback episode. It gave me chills hearing about the 9/11 attack again and it feels ... bizarre to have it be part of history, if that makes sense? While I didn't lose anyone personally in 9/11, I'll never forget where I was and watching the coverage. I also really liked how much they worked in Tony Plana as Berto. It was fun to see more of him and it never felt forced. EDIT: Forgot to mention I loved the nod Elena gave to original Schneider. The vest, the phone in the rolled up shirt sleeve, the tool belt, the keys, the leaning on the door I like that Elena is a "handy ma'am"
  6. I want to see Jackie being a mom now too. Sigh. I hope Andy still exists. I also wouldn't mind if they made him gay. Lots of fun opportunities there with Jackie smothering Andy.
  7. As they should be. LOL. I never took it seriously and it's been funny to see articles on the show so focused on Dan being dead. I wonder if the EW article (which I have and read) with the blurb on Jackie being childless could mean they kill Andy off? Though I know they deal with Mark/Glenn Quinn so maybe it would be too much. I'd be surprised if they just pretended Andy didn't exist. Jerry still exists. They only reference him, from what Roseanne implied it doesn't seem we see him, but I suppose we could. There's only so much they can do in 9 episodes though. I'm glad they're bringing back as many recurring guest stars as they are. I also don't know if I buy Jackie as a life coach. But then I think about it some and they could spin it and make it funny and it could work. I could see Jackie thinking she's an excellent coach at life when her own life has been a mess.
  8. Is Bev even still going to be a lesbian? LOL. Obviously she swings both ways because she has a boyfriend in the new season.
  9. I adore Molly Shannon and Val. I hate admitting I didn't even think of her when the show was announced to come back but when I read Val was back I was thrilled. I agree with you it's between her and Driver for my favorite guest star. Well, Beverly Leslie (Leslie Jordan) will always be #1 for me but Shannon and Driver are
  10. Yeah, it won't be Trump 24/7 lol And they've already got some pushback for Roseanne being a Trump voter Like I said, I don't mind a divided house based on politics, but I'm just fearful of how they handle it. Just rip the band-aid off in the first episode and move on.
  11. Gilbert is also why I'm willing to give it a chance. I expressed on here how nervous I was because of Roseanne's insane twitter rantings and Trump supporting. I'm OK with depicting a divided house but, like Will and Grace, I hope it's just the first episode and maybe a joke here and there but I don't need Roseanne stanning for Trump in all 9 episodes. Not saying it will but I just don't trust her. Personally, I'm with Carl, Vee and the others. I don't really like it. I also don't think the Roseanne Conner of the 90s would EVER vote for Trump. I'd like to see why the Roseanne Conner of today did though. It doesn't make sense to me based on the character she was. I know they're trying to appeal to that audience but IDK. We'll see how it plays out I guess. I could see Dan voting for him. I would have never imagined Roseanne voting for him. But, to be honest, several of my friends are Trump supporters, and a good half of my extended family voted for him, and honestly, I've avoided even talking about it, which isn't easy. So it is realistic for the show to do this. But is it something I want to watch because I'm living with it? The show Roseanne really never was political (but I guess in it's heyday it was a different time). I'd never have thought of what party Roseanne or Dan belonged to and I don't really care to now. Personally, it could backfire on them. I'm also not sure I care about Becky being a surrogate for Becky #2. We'll see. After watching soaps for so long I'm just over baby stories. To me, a baby story is given when the writers don't know what to do with a character anymore. It didn't always feel like that but I feel like it does now. I guess it's an attempt to be relevant and it could be a good plot line but IDK. It feels like they're trying too hard to be blue collar again when they don't have to try so hard. Are we going to get Mexican jokes because Becky works in a Mexican restaurant? I mean ... it's like Roseanne pulls these ideas out of her behind. Oh, I also hope Jackie is less Don Knotts this go-around, but seeing her facial expression while wearing the !@#$%^&*] hat and nasty woman shirt, I think they're making her the butt of the joke again. Roseanne is right, Jackie is wrong and Roseanne is overbearing about it. I'm already dreading it. I hope it plays better than I'm picturing lol. And by trying too hard, I mean, it's like they have neon lighted signs shouting how "real" they are. Flashing lights shouting "DJ HAS A BLACK DAUGHTER! AND THE MOTHER IS AWAY FIGHTING WAR" .... "BECKY WORKS IN A MEXICAN RESTAURANT! LOOK HOW POOR WE ARE!" IDK. It just kind of annoys me. Anyone else feel this way?
  12. Yeah, it was still funny in parts. But easily the worst so far. Oh well. The worst is still better than some. I think this week Larry and Val (Molly Shannon) are back. Should be a better episode. Next week Vince is back.
  13. Those photos are new to me. Yasss to Mark Jr. channeling Nana Mary lol. And yasss to Jackie in the nasty woman shirt and "the hat" ... lmao I hope the show isn't too political. It never was in the first place, though I do want them (as they obviously will it seems) to touch upon it. Aww. We get to see the garage. LOL
  14. I agree, it was the worst episode by far this season. But Nick Offerman was hilarious and I agree he looked GOOD. I was impressed. He looked really good. It was a weird time to relaunch shows. I wouldn't have known it was new if my DVR hadn't recorded it. I also nearly forgot about The Amazing Race coming back this week too.
  15. I liked hearing the cast talking about it. It's just absolutely bizarre and cool that Roseanne is coming back. I've wanted a revival for a long time. Here's a compilation of the teaser promos they released around Christmas:
  16. +1 Trailer looks good. Excited that it's coming back.
  17. I LOVE Mama's Family. Always have. LOL. I loved when it came on in the afternoons on TBS. It kind of disappeared after that until Logo. I think Ion aired it around 2006-2008 along with some other 80s shows. Shame they dropped that for endless reruns of crime shows. Glad to hear it about DVD on bluray. I'll definitely get the bluray then. Shame about the Lucy bluray. I love DVD (and Lucy too) in color. I definitely prefer them in B&W but I also really like them colorized. I love how CBS has made it an annual thing to colorize episodes of Lucy and now DVD. They did Andy Griffith but that was just one time. This was the second time CBS did the colorized DVD. I've lost track of how many times they've done Lucy. The specials do well in the ratings (but the demo is loooow LOL, though I don't think CBS cares), though I think this year they weren't as high, but I could be wrong.
  18. I agree with them that it had run it's course. I think Valerie could have carried the weight of the spin-off but it would have been better with Mackenzie around. What about the Lucy blu-ray disappointed you? I'm glad I'm not missing much then by just getting the regular DVDs. I feel you aren't the first person I've heard disappointed in the Lucy blu-ray. Isn't Dick Van Dyke on blu-ray? Do you watch that or did you buy it? (Just wondering if DVD is better than Lucy on blu-ray) And yeah, the stores have a decent selection of various tv shows for fairly cheap around this time of year. If I think it's cheap enough in the store I'll pick it up but I usually try to look online first. One of my nearby Walmart's even had Mama's Family the complete series (another Walmart didn't) but I had already just bought it. Forgot I had bought it lol. I bought it online.
  19. There are still little chunks I haven't seen of ODAT but I think I was able to see most of the episodes, LOGO was really the first time I saw the entire run of the show. I didn't have Antenna when they were airing ODAAT. And before Logo and Antenna, the show hadn't aired in syndication for a LOOONG time. I'll probably buy the complete series. I had a lot of shows on DVD that I ended up selling over the years lol so I'm now starting to rebuild my collection. Just bought Roseanne, I Love Lucy and Married with Children. It pays to wait years and years to buy them because a lot of box sets are so much cheaper now lol. I spent less than $30 each for MWC and Roseanne. ILL was like $40. Makes sense about the spin-off idea. Wasn't terrible but it just felt so different from the flavor of the original show. Wonder how Bonnie Franklin felt about the spin-off and being used less, or was it her choice to be used less and move on from the show? I mean the woman basically carried the entire show for most of it's run. Not to discount Mackenzie or Valerie but Bonnie carried that damn show. Shame Mac was addicted to drugs at the time of the show, as much as Julie grated on my nerves, Phillips was just so good and the show never felt right without Julie.
  20. I liked Julie and Max. I agree with you on Seasons 6 and 7. I'm torn on Season 8. It just felt like a totally different show, not that it was a bad thing I guess. Shame LOGO doesn't seem to be airing it anymore. But they seem to cycle through shows, I think Bewitched and Green Acres are back on the schedule next week. I didn't say I *thought* Alex was cute (he does nothing for me, but I don't find him ugly either, but then he didn't have a six pack and blonde hair ) just that I hated the whole concept of the "cute kid" being added to the show. He falls under that even if he's not "cute" lol And yeppers, it always fails miserably and the kid disappears without a mention (except Married with Children and Seven, they poked fun at themselves there) I also don't love it when shows add a new baby. I don't ever really see the point (Growing Pains, Too Close for Comfort, Family Ties ...). The babies don't bother me as much as the seven-ten year old "look how awesome a kid I am" additions though.
  21. LMAO! Alex didn't bother me, he grew on me. But I always hated when shows added some cute kid and went through hoops to make him happen. I HATED Ron Rifkin's character and him with Ann, I was SO happy they offed him LOL. I didn't really like Ann with anyone (though Howard Hessman's character kind of grew on me and I thought he was a good match for Ann, even though Hessman seemed checked out, bored or grumpy half the time) I thought the show often did a poor job pairing the women with their men. I really ended up liking Max with Julie (when we saw her ....) but I was never sold on Barbara and her eventual husband. But he grew on me in the last season where they played The Brady Brides with each other. I just felt it was more about the guys later in the seasons than it was about the girls. I preferred the feel of the early years.

  23. Very pleasantly surprised we'll see Crystal/Natalie West. Also have to give them kudos for Anne Marie and Chuck. Just read on HollywoodReporter that Christopher Lloyd (Taxi, Back to The Future) will be in one episode as Bev's boyfriend Lou! I can't wait for that. LOVE him. I also like that DJ's daughter is named Mary (after Nana Mary). I wonder why we haven't heard anything about Andy and Jerry? And even though Harris is 14, she should be like 20 lol.
  24. Premieres Tuesday March 27th at 8:00PM with back-to-back episodes. It will stay at 8:00PM with The Middle @ 8:30PM. Fresh Off The Boat will have wrapped by then. Adilah Barnes, who played Anne-Marie was listed as coming back as well in this release by TVByTheNumbers: http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/more-tv-news/roseanne-returns-to-abc-in-late-march/
