  1. I'm finding myself really liking it as well. It's fun. But I can see why folks aren't watching live. However, they are watching later ... https://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/dvr-ratings/broadcast-live-7-ratings-aug-5-11-2019/ My guess? This remains a tossup. I'm just not sure what their hope was for this. It's fine for a summer series but I have no doubts they wanted more. So we'll see where it goes. I'd like to see it stick around, personally. But I don't know that this belonged on Fox primetime.
  2. Exactly. Subtle improvements (and I agree that it would do wonders for Jason, maybe not Brian, yet). Tori's going to be Joan Van Ark in another decade (I hate to throw shade at the amazing JVA, but yeesh, though I haven't seen her recently) or maybe more Leslie Charleson when she's freshly done (I imagine ageist Phelps/Frons, who were no spring chickens mind you, did a number on both Charleson and Jackie Zeman causing the years of plastic surgery)
  3. Rauch probably did .... I vastly preferred Eplin as Jake on ATWT than I ever did on AW. It also depended to me on who he was paired with on AW. He was wasted on blah Jensen Buchanan, and I was NEVER a fan of her Vicky (except maybe very early on and I feel like her pairing with Ryan was the exception, but she just lacked fire; we didn't need both Paulina and Vicky to be boring housewives). Eplin does kind of give off that vibe, if I can be honest ... lol. I did like him the most on ATWT too, ironically. It always did feel random, as he fit in well on ATWT, IMHO (as did Cass, who should have also migrated full time) but now it all makes sense ... (much like I never understood why no show held onto Sarah Brown ... only to find out she was basically blacklisted) That being said, overtime, I've become less and less of a Martha Byrne fan ...
  4. I think BOTH Shannen and Jennie have aged very well. Jennie definitely had a bit of help it seems, but overall they both have amazing skin and look at the top of their form, IMHO. Tori's just a desperate famewhore who desperately needed a paycheck. I have no comment. But being around the cast and in this show makes her tolerable to me. Brian Austin Green and Jason Priestley ... agreed with Chit, both look rode HARD. Not saying they still can't get it ... but yeah. They definitely look their ages. Overall it's enjoyable, actually. A shame it's sinking in the ratings each week as it gets better but what do they expect? Fans wanted a real reboot. Not this. This is a good companion series but the marketing could have been better. The promos were "we're back" meanwhile you had to find interviews with the cast to understand the premise. Putting it at 9pm behind a show I can't even remember the name of (MasterChef? that gets lackluster ratings) wasn't ever going to help it. If we're basing it on what potential ratings it could have had, it won't last another season. If we're basing it on summer programming and similar ratings ... it's still probably a toss-up. Meanwhile, probably surprising no one, Daphne Zuniga has said she's (probably?) in if they want a MP reboot (I've been seeing Locklear's mugshots again, how's she doing?). But it depends how BH90210 does. So I'm guessing this is going to go nowhere, sadly. But I'd love to be wrong.
  5. It really does suit her and make sense
  6. Good news I think they were non-committal earlier in the year about her coming back because Katey had a sitcom in development (I think on ABC? I can't keep up anymore!). If we're not getting Married with Grandchildren, then I'm all for her on The Conners.
  7. I thought Lori lasted longer than that but I really don't remember off hand at the moment. I started losing interest around Season 3. I can't remember about Walters either, was it ever said? My memory is getting really bad, lol. Probably ageist CW or to make room for original 90210 vets like Doherty and Spelling? These shows just didn't know what they wanted to be and it showed.
  8. I would of just kept Jessica Walters and dumped Lori and Rob from the get go, personally, lol. Kids parents die and they move in with Kooky Grandma. And yeah, Melrose fucked up from the start. It was a mess. Katie Cassidy and Stephanie Jacobsen were the only good things (though I did think Shaun Sipos and Michael Rady were cute and Nick Zano's Drew had potential). That and seeing the vets wander around lost. All such a missed opportunity. It was always going to be a problem for both 90210 and MP when the showrunners either don't know or don't care. The fact is, CW wanted them in name only. They didn't want the 'baggage' but seemed to bow to including them.
  9. Exactly this!!! It would have been INTERESTING. Not sure why Garth wanted to do absolutely nothing but hold Silver's hand. At the end of the day the reboot was a lot of wasted and missed potential. And LMAO at Garth somehow not remembering she was on several seasons ... methinks she was attempting shade or she just has a really really really bad memory. I guess it would be doing Garth dirty because Garth didn't want Kelly to be a homewrecker. IDK. She needed to get over it and play the damn character. Yep! Again, lots of missed potential and lost opportunity. Same for Melrose. Both reboots make me angry as a fan because I wanted so much more from them. Same for Dallas. What wastes.
  10. Ah. I do seem to remember that, I missed the Sinclair thing though. Garth doesn't seem to want Kelly to actually do anything so it was probably for the best.
  11. Is any kind soul uploading those anywhere? I've always been surprised he stayed on EE. I've never liked Max but Jake Wood is a good actor.
  12. It's an interesting, IMO, concept for a show. So I'm giving it a shot. (And I do think Tori/Jennie said the 2nd season, if they get one, would be about the reboot itself. So I'm curious how it all works itself out) I did enjoy the 'nightmare' Tori had where Grandpa Brandon was still serving at the Pit and Kelly owned it. LOL I wouldn't call 90210 "good" but I'd say it had a lot of potential in Seasons 1 and 2 and I liked a lot of it. But the reality is, The CW wanted 90210 and MP in name only and seemed to then jump on old cast members and shoehorn them in as fan service. Both could have been SO much better. Sigh. Such missed potential. Makes me so mad. lol. Especially Melrose when you had Daphne, Josie, Thomas, Heather, [!@#$%^&*] LAURA LEIGHTON AS AN ALIVE SYDNEY, ALL willing to be there. God, makes me so mad. I kind of lol that I think Grant Show wasn't interested but he's done nothing but primetime soaps, really ... and now he's on that trash they call Dynasty.
  13. I enjoyed it as well but I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't rather have a reboot. But I imagine most of the cast didn't want to and are only now hedging on the idea because of fan pushback. It's an amusing take. But I don't think it works as a primetime series on FOX. I mean, like 8 million people watched the premiere of 90210 on CW. 11 years ago. The audience is there ... I guess they could ask the same question: "is there anything some of us even like?" lol But yasssss to the Thelma Harper shoutout.
  14. Yes!! I've long said Judi should have been playing Nancy, not Paulina. Paulina wasn't needed. I think Cali's Paulina had a lot of potential but I also think Cali could have worked as Vicky over say blah Jensen Buchanan. Watching a lot of Rachel/Paulina scenes, it's clear they should have been sisters, they sure acted liked it (Judi's Paulina was basically Nancy and it all would have worked much better, but they seemed to act as if Nancy didn't exist, I rarely ever remember them talking about her) ... Thanks. I know Forsyth quickly landed on AMC (ugh, just remembering that time period). I imagine he was fired too, but maybe he saw the writing on the wall and left? lol
  15. How is it any different really than forcing viewers to care about a new character who has a convoluted backstory no one cares about? It's really the same thing.
  16. And then John and Anna were dumped and written out (or did they leave on their own?)
  17. lol Vee! I agree on Adam but I'm not 100% sure either.
  18. Same. I had a hunch he was gay so I'm not at all surprised. I watched him on DWTS too and it ended up clicking then, for whatever reason. He was one of the best things about Fuller House.
  19. lol yep
  20. Preach. I was thrilled when he left. And he/Billy just got grumpier and grumpier as the seasons went on. But by Season 5/6 everyone hated each other anyway ... classic Chuck Pratt. They trot him out on Good Morning America once in a while (he's married to anchor Amy Robach). He still looks uncomfortable in front of the damn camera ... but he's still kinda cute I guess. Aging nicely.
  21. So happy the show has been saved. I'm with @All My Shadows in that I'll be satisfied if it lasts at least three more seasons. I'd even take two. It deserves to continue and like AMS said, be remembered fondly. I'm beyond thrilled! Now folks need to WATCH. I believe it grew in numbers each season on Netflix though, did it not? It wasn't cancelled because it wasn't watched; it was cancelled because it wasn't "binge watched" (among other reasons I assume, notably they launched a Gabriel Iglesias sitcom ... they gotta clear the old for the new). I've never cared much for Netflix, but I do admit they have had quality stuff and there's a place for them but they've had a messy few years. And I think they've kind of muddled the field with so many options to watch, things get lost in the shuffle. Before shows were able to stand out more as being on Netflix. Now streaming is becoming like broadcast, tons of shows left and right you can't even keep up and quality shows get left behind. Netflix needs to decide what it wants to be, IMHO.
  22. I think you need to understand how SON works. We're all passionate and very opinionated here. It's not always a personal attack on someone You're also a bit of a hypocrite, as if you're opinion is the one that matters and is right and if anyone disagrees, they're attacking you personally. Please stop. That's not how it is. You're coming on too hard. Relax and just share your opinion.
