  1. Yeah, was just going to say this is what I see. B&B has the classics and current and Y&R only has the current so far. Guess it just isn't updated. That's interesting! Hmm ... maybe it's just a glitch that eventually gets fixed.
  2. Oh? I haven't seen today's episode. Interesting. I guess the fact she came back like ready to pop should have been the tip off. I just assumed they didn't care and propelled the pregnancy. Maybe she finds out she is which would be LOL. Rademacher has that pornstache going on now. Doesn't work for him. And I feel like he's showing those Covid-15 pounds. lol. Not judging, just observing.
  3. Exactly. A lot of his ideas, on paper, aren't bad. Most of the time it feels like a big waste of time though when it plays out. He needs someone to reign him in and balance him out. And, as always, there's tons of other factors in play. Poor editing jobs, poor pacing, no budget ... lol All of it makes me feel like I have whiplash when watching. It's just so hard to invest in as much as I try to. But I do notice some of the same stuff he did at OLTL and GH. A story would play out and then be dropped and then picked back up (which is either ... a choice, or most likely budget related to do it that way). I miss a good flow to the soaps but I know so many factors are at play. I also assume, for example, when John and Marlena are MIA for long stretches, he's likely 'saving them up' to use them heavily later (plus he has a habit of starting stories before actors are available, like Sweeney, which delayed the murder mystery). Like I said, factors like that make it hard to invest in the show. Fans get interested in the murder mystery only to have Marlena spend her time with Ben and Sami with Rafe and not really follow up on anything. Is what it is I guess lol. (It's picked back up now but I'm a little behind)
  4. Thanks again Mitch. The 1995/1996/1997 time period is a bit of a blur to me and unfortunately we lost so much on YouTube. I agree there was no more story for them. I assumed that's why they offed Jenna but then I was reminded Fiona stood up for Zaslow and was likely punished so there ya go. I remember watching her death in 1998 and being pissed about it. It always bugs me when they fire the female co-star but the male co-star in the pairing gets to stay. I never understood their desire to hold onto Buzz and Deas. He was nowhere near the hot property he had been in the 70s and 80s.
  5. I have to agree it works for him.
  6. So basically just what they had on All Access? They're gonna need to do better for me. LOL
  7. I could actually see Doug Davidson in the role, oddly enough. LOL. I wouldn't hate it. And yes we do need more Hardys, Baldwins and Webbers. I would have made Finn and Gregory Tom and Jeff but what do I know? Will watch soon. Thanks for sharing the link. I like watching the commercials too
  8. I appreciate CVE and DOC's supposed devotion to Liz's place on the canvas. Time will tell. Finally dumping that albatross off of her back helps. I do think Howarth and Herbst had a nice rapport and they clearly liked working together. It better be scheming conniving angsty Spencer Cassadine sending Stepmother Dearest dead cockroaches ... alongside Grandmama Helena. Maxie has a brain? I would LOVE to see it. PLEASE! Fix her.
  9. Right. It's too much. Another problem of one character eating the show for two decades. Pullos has really grown into her own and feels so natural. I enjoy her immensely. And I agree she was grating as a child actress, I won't even lie about it LOL. But I love her now. It's been nice they've let her grow into the role. Molly is my favorite Alexis daughter by far.
  10. Lord. That reads like something Reilly would have pulled in 2004-2005. Remember Sami forcing Lexie to tell Carrie she'd have disfigured babies or some [!@#$%^&*]? I hope it plays better than it reads but I don't have high hopes. Lord. We get Sami and Lucas back and they're wasted on this mess? I *should* be thrilled Kristen is interacting with Sami and Lucas but not for this Chloe/Brady nonsense (It at least works because Sami and Lucas of course have their own history with Brady and Chloe). I feel like Ron gets distracted by shiny ideas, he veers here, there and everywhere but often misses the real beats that should be played. Things happen ("wacky hijinks") but does any of it really matter? I'm interested in Gabi and Philip too. Phloe fans are fuming but I love Phloe too and even I'd play up Philip and Chloe with others first. It's long overdue for Chloe and Brady to be explored again but it's really just a plot device for Kristen apparently (though obviously he's falling for her again and vice versa). Kristen and Brady are definitely done. There's no coming back from this and if they do, just kill Brady. LOL. I feel like Theo is just a plot device to 'threaten' Ben and Ciara. Sigh. Unless they write them out together and Ben is left to sleep with Claire. Sigh. The Carvers do sound on an island unto themselves. Paulina needs to be everywhere. Maybe she will be. I don't really need to see Abe attempted to be paired with any new female of a similar age. Why? I get she livens him up and they have some chemistry but I feel like Valerie keeps getting the shaft (first for Sheila and now with Paulina because Ron has more fun writing for them). The sad thing is, there's potential in this canvas, but Ron is a hot mess and the focus/direction feels all wrong.
  11. Thanks for clarifying on Wagner, I wasn't entirely sure. So they forced her out, basically. Nola had loads of potential exactly as you said, the 'Lisa' if you will of GL. They could have recast her son and brought on her daughter. Them plus Bridget and random Reardons, you'd be set for her. Bridget and Nola were massive missed opportunities. I didn't mind the idea of Buzz and Nola, I suppose, but what I've seen it doesn't feel like the writing is there and sometimes Brown felt like she was still playing depressed Iva. And Deas is already becoming shouty. So ... no thanks. LOL. They also seemed to abandon it (the less about the horrid amnesia the better) as soon as Fiona came back as Jenna. Of course we then had two years of Buzz shouting and Jenna crying about Jeffrey.
  12. Briana Lane would make a wonderful Kristina. And absolutely, Pullos deserves to be on contract. Exactly. It's the AMOUNT of kids he has. Not that he *has* kids @FrenchBug82 I'm all for kids to follow their parents 'legacy' but enough is enough with Sonny LOL. It's a joke at this point. AJ was never allowed to be a father to Michael. Sonny had to be his father. Michael. Avery. Kristina. Donna. Dante. Morgan. Six kids. I mean, I believe a guy like Sonny should probably have more than the average soap character, he had lots of women, but still ... enough is enough LOL Holly has Ethan
  13. All of this. That's exactly who Kristina should be. I like Ainsworth but she'll never be elevated with her in the role. I said it already but this is the year that Brenda should come back. It's a really great opportunity in many ways. I agree on Lois. I almost feel like they don't because they figure they have Olivia filling that spot. lol at all the men Cameron has sung for. Just make him gay writers! Agreed on Franco. James Franco created the role. It should have ended with him. They wanted Todd 2.0 and it flopped miserably. The romanticizing of rapists and serial killers has got to stop just because people like the actor. All of this. Spot on about Ainsworth and Kristina. Like I said, she just can't sell much as a lead. It's just how it is. They need to recast and do something with her. Otherwise they're just catering to Mo's ego by having Sonny have all these kids around. Bryan Craig did Mo's youtube show. He looked good. I always felt like he just needed to mature and grow up. I know he did some onlyfans stuff like charging fans or trying to back in the day. IDK if there's more. Mo seems fine with him of course LOL. Avery should 100% be Morgan's. It writes itself. I can only imagine they go there someday. Hopefully. Sonny doesn't need Avery and Carly being a GRANDMOTHER to Ava's daughter lowkey thrills me. If Laura and Mo had chemistry maybe it'd be different but they don't. They feel like a total mismatch to me. Carly and Sonny should have never been endgame. Once upon a time, Carly and AJ should have succeeded Monica and Alan. But alas, Sonny propping and making AJ a horrible no good loser was what they went with. LW should really be playing a different character. I wanted that for Brenda and Sonny. In reality, she should have been on the canvas for the last few years ... LOL. She at least should have come back in 2017 instead of trying to make Tamara work as boring ass Kim. I like Britt too. She and Obrecht entertain me and both actresses are engaging to watch. I'm so glad it worked out in the end that Britt is back and they seem invested in her. Man, Slezak as some cunning bitch would be fabulous.
  14. Well, ATWT *did* fire Helen Wagner, right? I'm still shocked they got away with it back then. But your point remains. Viewers DO love the vets. They WANT to see them. They just don't get it. Soaps have been chasing this mysterious young demo instead of just writing what has always worked. Multi-layered generational storytelling. Pennock was awful as Justin. Mike, Justin and Hope are three glaring absences for me throughout the years. It seemed so crazy not to tap into them (really tap into them). I guess they figured they had Ed "why do we need Mike?" and they had Hope's son so why do they need her? Instead it should be, we have A-M, we NEED Hope. But nope. Though, after Nola's messy return, sometimes I'm ok with characters being 'left in the past' LOL under certain regimes. Who the heck knows the damage that would be done. It's sad because Nola easily writes herself. They seemed to just want Lisa Brown as Nola again and didn't really have a plan. It didn't help that Lisa Brown and Justin Deas had no chemistry (IMO). And wasn't Nola also supposed to be paired with Ed and Peter Simon wasn't a fan? (But what did he think of the Eve pairing? LMAO) Trish was definitely too young for Mike. I liked him with Lillian and Alex but I can't say he had fire chemistry with them. He feels kind of checked out towards the end of his run. Justin/Alex could have written iteself ... Justin had so many opportunites. Sigh.
  15. Yeah, I was wondering about her potential storylines when she returned so I kinda feel like they made her pregnant to keep her in plot. I'm cool with it. I don't want to sit through Peter any longer but I can understand milking it for all it's worth before finally pulling the plug. At this point why not just go there? I've always loved Brook too. Ned needed his daughter on the canvas and we needed a female Q in her age range. It worked out perfectly. Ned and Brook are 1000% Edward and Tracy 2.0 (less ... toxic maybe lol) and it's great. Hopefully we get a Lulu with some fire in her whenever she returns.
  16. NO LIES HERE lol. I agree completely. Kristina is irrelevant and not needed (a better actress would own the role and Kristina should be Sonny Jr. but they aren't interested and Ainsworth likely couldn't sell it). Donna was REALLY not needed. We all know they'll drag Morgan's ass back when they get bored. I think Donna was meant to give Sonny and Carly a new biological child that tied them together on the canvas and they wanted to name her after Donna that they lost behind the scenes. It was strange and not really needed. I get honoring her but Sonny and Carly did not need a kid. It's like a bad joke at this point and they know it lol. This is what happens when babies are plot devices and you end up stuck with them. I miss when babies mattered. Not just a sweeps stunt or a lazy story idea that gives you an easy 9 months. Ethan not being Robert's irritates me so much. It made more sense to have Ethan be Robert and Holly's, but nope. Had to prop Luke. It was stupid. I guess they still could say he's Robert's. In my mind he is LOL. Also agreed, they should have given Jax and Brenda a kid to tie them together. I don't think Valentini has any interest in Brenda but who knows? I've given up the idea of her coming back anytime soon. But I guess we'll see where the Sonny amnesia stuff goes and if Carly and Sonny are finally imploded or not. They seem to be clinging to that pairing and it's not working. (They should have tried Sonny and Kim but they seemed afraid to go there, likely because Mo and Tamara have chemistry). I feel like they keep itching to "go there" with Jax and Carly again but don't seem to want to pull the trigger. This really is the perfect year to bring Brenda back. Just saying.
  17. Gina would have been fire in the role. I could see Carrie Genzel. She's never gotten enough credit in the soap world IMO, even though all of us on here have given her credit. LMAO at Jamie Luner up for everything. I remember that. It's almost like soaps don't want women who can add layers and be more than bland romantic heroines 👀
  18. I do think DAYS has solid script writers. GH is probably second. As for the overall "writing" ... lol it's like choosing the best of the worst, no?
  19. All of this. They would have made a great writing team IMHO. Ah what could have been. I do wish a better balance had been made from the 70s into the 80s. But network agendas and all ...
  20. Because he has to steal Brook Lynn and Valentin's baby. You know a swap is coming. Brook didn't show up like ready to burst for nothing. She should only be like 4 months pregnant (though I'm good fast-forwarding through a few months). I'm so happy Amanda Setton is back. Briana Lane was wonderful and I want to see her pop up someplace else, but Setton just has the fire and vulnerability Brook needs. Her reactions, her chemistry with the cast ... it works. Well done casting. I missed her.
  21. Goofy is a good word for her portrayal as Victoria at times. She does have nervous energy, you're right. They should tap into that. I feel like *maybe* she plays it that way (trying to give her some credit here) but they of course don't have any interest in writing for the character so we're just left wondering why's acting like a hot mess. It just isn't believable, you're right. A decent writer would at least try. Griffith has laser focus on a few of his pets and that seems to be it. No one else really exists unless they have to be on for their episode guarantees. Just how it feels so often. That's exactly what should have happened. A decent writer would. It's very wash/rinse/repeat with Victoria, like you said. I have to lol that Nick is on the backburner. I'm not upset either. It was time. Nikki absolutely deserves better. Griffith just doesn't seem to care about most of the cast except for a select few. It's the Sharon, Adam, Billy, Victoria, Lily, Phyllis show with a dash of Devon and Amanda, Summer and Kyle and Jack and Sally. Throw in a pop-in by Victor, Nikki, Traci and Lauren and you have yourself a Griffith episode. And some of them aren't even really being written for as their own character.
  22. Melissa Archer was always my first choice for Sarah. It was a mistake not to have her be Sarah in 2014. Serena/Sarah. Come on. LOL. Briana Lane would be welcome by me as anybody LOL. I could see her more as a Chelsea or Stephanie but Sarah would work too. I hope it's neither of those either and it just proves to be one of those random internet rumors. I've heard Sarah Webber (which would make her the YOUNGER sister, I believe, when she's the OLDER sister). I'd rather have Rebecca Budig as retcon Hayden instead. Why do they seem to have no interest in her despite fans enjoying her when she is on?
  23. Right? I swear I liked her once! She was fine on AMC (though I remember tiring of Mia towards the end). She's just miscast as Victoria and just doesn't really rise above what's written. Like others have said, I'm not sure what to take from her portrayal as Victoria. It reads as a messy performance, IMO. None of it works. She's just ... there. Like @FrenchBug82 said Victoria is a character things happen to, like so many characters I'd argue on soaps. I've noticed that more and more. Characters exist and things happen to them but there's no depth (Josh Griffith does this, and Ron Carlivati does this on DAYS). We're lucky we get what we do if we have a talented script writer. Maxie on GH is a great example of this. They're not writing *for* Maxie, they're writing around her and using her for Peter.
