It makes more sense for Sally to go after Nick (or even Billy) than Jack but I guess she sees him as a sugar daddy who's easier to target? LOL none of it makes sense. Griffith sucks. It does make sense that Summer and Phyllis are insecure around Sally. She's who they think they are (and who Phyllis used to be - fun). I'd rather not see her be wasted on any of them to be honest. I also feel like we are a year or two too late for this Kyle baby mama crap. Zzzz. I wish I could care, I really do. So tired of baby stories. This is why talented younger actors flee soaps (in normal times). And wasting Nina, Devon and Cassiah on Abby's uterus? Spare me. Seems like Griffith is trying to soap it back up a bit but the show is a hollow empty shell under him.

I imagine it does fine. AMC and OLTL were #1/#2 when they dropped each week/day so I imagine soaps do a lot better on streaming then gets talked about. DAYS was/is #1 for NBC online. Not sure where it falls on Peacock. Again, I still imagine it does fine. Not sure on Y&R/B&B streaming. They haven't really had an outlet except All Access which is becoming Paramount+ so we will see I guess.

Kyle Lowder is popping back in as Rex. Does Ron have the hots for him or something? I don't mind Lowder of course, but it always just feels so random.

So talented. RIP Mr. Briggs. And I'd have to agree, Coronation Street isn't in a bad spot. It's a little lethargic but watchable. I'm only currently seeing clips at the moment but I will be checking out full episodes.

lol, I NEVER watched it on television. I mean, I've watched just about everything classic/old. It was NEVER rerun and if it was I was too young to pay attention LOL. I've seen bits. I know it's massively popular. I always wanted to watch it. I guess I could have found it on YouTube LOL

She's made some guest appearances, but that was more under Ron (I know Ron can be a shitshow writer but he knows what we know: those characters should have been on the show and not killed, just like at DAYS, though then he turns around and offs people like it's nothing so ... see, shitshow writer). I have no idea what she is up to in her life now. Does she act? She was such a natural and it pisses me off royally they didn't care and dumped her. Sigh. But, when I think back, a lot of talented actresses have been driven off soaps for BS reasons. Sigh again. Phelps almost seemed to get off on firing/talking down to capable and likeable actresses (as she shoved actors she was hot for down our throat as well as bland women, hence how Natalia Livingston lasted so long when DAYS say how bad she really was and canned her - an Emmy means squat these days, sorry LOL). I agree about killing off the younger characters. Agreed on Natalia Livingston. LOL. I guess I long for the idea of a better Emily other than her but I do agree she's missed less. Just like how DAYS killed of Will with Guy Wilson in the role. It's easier to swallow when the recast isn't really accepted but it's still a mistake. I forgot about Ryan LOL only because they shifted his focus to Ava from Felicia but yeah you could have. He did kidnap her as a baby (right?). I think the time has passed for it to make sense with him being behind it (should they ever so choose, but I doubt it's anywhere near a thought to them LOL) but I'd still go for it. LOL. I accept whatever DAYS throws at me to fix a mistake so ... lol, but I would like it to make sense and fit.

I could see DAYS easily going online. It's popular on streaming. But who knows where we will be by 2025 LOL

Phelps and Guza/Pratt really tore the heart out of GH. It was like watching a nightmare for over a decade. Sure a lot of it was flashy, even at times dramatic, entertaining and produced well, but the show stopped plotting long-term (like all the soaps, really; Y&R is at that point and you can see them struggling). If they cared about the show at all so many characters wouldn't have been offed in a sweeps/ratings stunt. I mean, even Sussman and Alden recognized the massive error in Y&R killing John Abbott when they did and wished they could have resurrected him (though like I say below, I do think there's a 'time limit' so to speak) Georgie, Emily and Alan's deaths remain massive mistakes. I wish they could have fixed them; I think the time has passed, maybe (well; it has on Alan I believe; but I would have accepted Tony Jones instead) They COULD get away with Georgie and Emily. Emily would work better if they brought back Helena and had it revealed Rebecca was a brainwashed Emily. Boom there you go. Done. I'm guessing Ron never got the time because it's something he would have done LOL. With AJ back from the dead they should have just said to hell with it and had all the Q's alive with him. I'd have to think about Georgie. But I don't want to distract with too much fan fiction LOL I also wouldn't have thrown Logan under the crazy bus and killed him off (Josh Duhon was the hot new thing and then Brandon Barash was the hot new thing). What a waste. I'll even toss out Karen's death on PC. I threw it out before but Megan Ward could have made an interesting Karen. Shame. Oh, and Willow should have been Lucy's daughter Christina. Lured into a cult by her mother Julie who now goes by Harmony. It writes itself. But nope. Since I lied and AM doing fan fiction, LOL ... I'll dig deeper and say they should have moved Eve to GH and had her be Alan's daughter, not Skye (and Skye would have been on AMC or OLTL). I don't know why but I've always thought that. Anywho ... sorry all LOL

Makes my heart hurt. The show has really fallen. I mean ... Phil and Kat? How desperate can you be? LOL Sounds like the show has reached the point most of the US soaps reached years and years ago. Sigh Though I'd say the UK soaps had been on that trend since around 2001 when shock plots became popular (more-so Corrie, but EE has been on a decline since the mid 2000s I'd argue) and it's finally caught up to them (along with the poor creative decisions). It's left them a hollow show. They also seemed to be on a never-ending recycling the producer/writer trend as well.

I just loved that Penthouse set so much. I hated they got rid of it. Their townhouse set is like the size of their old bedroom, LMAO. It's just ridiculous. Which house? I believe Lexie and Abe lived in Roman and Marlena's old house for a while but they stopped showing it after Lexie died in 2012. I miss that set too. LOL, right. The Town Square used to be bigger and had a staircase. I love the nod to Alice and Tom but do we even need it anymore? It's like a poor man's Salem Place. It doesn't really work like it once did. IDK. I'd love some set overhauls. I don't think they explained the set change for Lani and Eli. It just happened. LOL. It was needed though; it made no sense they lived on a couch. It also seems like we're getting a new DiMera set based on pics circulating on Twitter. So, maybe they have "heard" me LOL

I actually agree the sets have been better-ish. I thought about that after I wrote it. I'd still like better but I get the show has no budget and is doing what they can. It has improved there. It doesn't feel like everything takes place in Horton Town Square, the random park bench in the woods or the awful blue room LOL so ... I'm glad they slightly upgraded Eli and Lani's set after they brought the twins home. I liked Charlie's apartment set too and Ava's wasn't awful. John and Marlena's "townhouse" is awful looking, IMHO. Sorry. LOL. I STILL miss the old Penthouse. And Shawn and Belle (or Hope I guess) need better than a closet masquerading as a den. But props for trying to give us some different sets. I'm also not the biggest fan of the remodel they did of Julie's Place after the waste of time jump. Agreed on the stories for all the soaps. The pacing is just all over the place. Yes on Alarr. He seems like a nice enough guy the cast likes, I guess (though I've heard mixed things on him), but I also don't think he's very strong. It shows on-screen, IMO. Also agreed on the HW. I'd really like to see Quan get a shot and Broderick with him, if she's interested. I have such mixed feelings on Uncle Ronald Carlivati. I appreciate some of the things he's done that I've wanted him to (Tony alive, Will alive, Jack alive; I don't hate the idea of Gwen; I like he's played on Broe/Phloe; Shelle and Lumi are around; he has some good ideas but the quick pacing, poor editing and lack of depth hurt), but he really makes me feel like I have whiplash at times and I think he goes too far to make it 'shocking' when it all ends up feeling pointless. I could go on, LOL.
