  1. I always assumed she was young and left on her own. I'm glad Ellen was so open. I need to watch this one. I typically wait until after they're done to watch, LOL
  2. THIS! I loved early Carly and Jack. But Pissy's ATWT was so repetitive for them it made me wonder how they even cared about each other anymore or why anyone would root for them to get back together. Exactly the same with Josh and Reva. They yelled. Broke up. Dated others. Circled back around. Zzzzzz.
  3. I feel like it's more "fun" to watch live. But I can understand wanting an edited version.
  4. Yep, I figured it was Goutman ...
  5. It was. She's never been good. And she's been around these soaps for SO long. She must be well liked. I desperately wanted to love ATWT in it's last decade but it just wasn't good. Thanks Jean and Goutman.
  6. lol he does! I lol'd that they're being trashed. I feel bad for the other two ladies. Jean cannot write for [!@#$%^&*]. How she lasted so long as a HW on these soaps is beyond me.
  7. LOL he will! Of course he did! Ugh
  8. Thank you! I respect why people think it was bad. I get it. But some of us did like the first few years 🤷‍♂️ People also have to remember I was younger when it hit. It was perfect for me at the time. I was so into it. But I get why people don't like it. Of course I have a higher standard for soaps but I took the show for WHAT IT WAS.
  9. In your opinion it was bad. I liked it. It's subjective Of course it had bad dialogue. It was repetitive. Days lasted MONTHS. I watched Reilly's first and second run. I'm well aware of his faults. I enjoyed 1999-2001 for the most part. It's not for everyone and that's fine. I respect those that think it was bad. I get why. I liked it and I'm not sorry I enjoyed it lol. Does it stand up to other truly great soaps? No. It just happened to hit me at the right time and I enjoyed it for what it was Trust me, I remember the bad storylines, I remember the bad actors. But I think people forget it wasn't THAT bad in the first few years "Sheridan's death" was great soap, IMO. We all like what we like 🤷‍♂️
  10. Just hearing Pissy's name turned me off instantly lol
  11. I agree. I'd prefer shorter revivals. Honestly with the other three soaps airing reruns in the summer this year I don't even think we need them all year long at this pont. JMO. I was encouraged when SyFy aired reruns of Passions years and years ago but it went nowhere. It's probably been a long time now. I can't even remember when they aired the reruns.
  12. Drew was often one note which could get grating. But Tammy Blanchard is damn talented, IMO.
  13. I like PAS too, it wasn't hate, LOL
  14. Oh yay 🙄 I wish they could have picked someone else or just had Tammy, Brittany, Joy and Paul. Hell bring in Paul Stewart for the millionth time again.
  15. lol It was nice seeing all of them except Paulo (lol sorry Paulo). All I got. GL lucked out with Brittany, Joy, Paul and Tammy. I always felt Drew should have been Stacy Chamberlain and Nola's daughter. They would have been fire together. I liked Tammy with Patti D'Arbanville but it felt like they slotted Selena in for Nola, JMO.
  16. I think it's prime for a revival. It could work. It gets some nice traction on social media. Like others have said, the tweens are now in their 30s. I agree on JER. I checked out around 2002, returned around 2005 but couldn't stick with it. It was soooo offensive, trashy, bad, etc. The list goes on. I was so turned off. Which sucked because I enjoyed the show FOR WHAT IT WAS, in the beginning, like you said. It was different. I think what frustrates me about JER is he can actually structure a story but ... you know ...
  17. Meh. It wasn't so bad in the beginning. Everyone remembers the absolute train wreck trash it became though. I loved the show from 1999-2001 and I won't apologize for it! lol It also gets hate because it replaced Another World. For the record, I'd rather have Another World ... but I enjoyed Passions for the first few years. It hit at the right time for me. Nostalgia is strong
  18. Aw man, that sucks. Who is going after these channels? Some of them have been around for a LOOOONG time. We can never have nice things as soap fans.
  19. Not sure what the obsession with this guy is, LOL. Alan's fine. He's never going to give y'all what you want. You just have to accept it.
  20. Yep. Old Buzzard kept sticking around as the interesting women around him were either ruined or killed off. Nola was wasted on him. Nadine was killed when it should have been Buzz and Jenna was killed when it should have been Buzz. And ah, retaliation. I was watching at the time and didn't know what I know now about how things are run and never understood them killing her off. But by that point all she did was cry and they really exhausted the Jeffrey thing. She was such a great character earlier on though. I just love what I've watched of her first run.
  21. I love Gina but I can't believe they passed on Sherry Stringfield! And that she even wanted to do a soap again is amazing. Sherry was just perfection as Blake. Blake was such a fun and fascinating character as you described. They tried to keep Liz similar to Sherry initially but it quickly faded over time. JFP doesn't seem to like smart and strong capable women. Susan was my favorite on ER too. Honestly Sherry/Liz reminds me of Anne Heche/Jensen Buchanan. Like, the look is there, but the style is all ultimately wrong for the role. Remember how they had Jensen looking like Anne's Vicky for a while but then ... soccer mom Vicky (and then soccer mom Paulina)
  22. The Walmart Lighting I'm dead. So accurate. I do think it got better around 2002-2004 (maybe it lasted through 2006 but my viewing was spotty at the time mostly due to the Jonathan propping; ConWest really turned me off before that though) and then ... (EDIT: The lighting I'm referring to, not the writing ...)
  23. It does look nice, especially compared to what comes down the road, lmao. All I can focus on is Soccer Mom Blake trying to be sexy with Ross. Like, Liz Keifer could pull of sexy stuff. Why was she like a soccer mom from the start? Ugh. I like Keifer but Sherry was just so wonderful as Blake it's hard to get past the difference now that I've seen so much of Sherry in the role.
